  1. I did a pre cruise land tour when we went to Alaska. It was through RCI. We got to see things we wouldn't have seen if we had just done the cruise. I do believe it's worth it. We got to go to Denali Park and we saw Denali. We went to Anchorage. We did some things I could have passed on (train trip that never ended). We decided to do to land tour before the cruise so we could rest a little on the cruise. Land tour ended in Seward where we boarded the ship. I think it's worth it. You're flying a long way. Make the most of it.
  2. He needs his own number. You'll need to add his number to your reservation.
  3. Here's the other thread.
  4. I haven't been yet, but I chose the Beach Hop & Turtle Snorkel cruise excursion through Royal Caribbean. I'll also be doing a Sunset Cruise. I found some info and videos on the Beach Hop & Turtle Snorkel excursion, and it looked pretty good.
  5. I printed mine as I like to have a hard copy. I believe you can show on phone. You just show it at the port of departure.
  6. Yeah, I doubt I'll wear it, but we still want it!!!! 😁 Gotta admit, I was a little disappointed when I saw it. Don't know what I was expecting, but maybe something a little fancier.
  7. RCI has supply issues. They told my mother they would mail her platinum lapel pin. This was weeks ago. I still don't understand why the C&A employee on my recent cruise couldn't give me my mother's pin even though my mother wasn't on the cruise since we'd earned it the cruise before and hadn't received it. The employee had a bag of pins and would have saved postage and been good customer service.
  8. Desserts in WJ look very pretty, but a lot of them don't have any taste. I don't know why it's so hard to give them some flavor. Then again, the omelette cooked to order that I got didn't have any flavor either.
  9. If I'm on the ship longer, I would expect to continue to pay gratuities. If I wasn't charged, that'd be nice, but if I were, it'd be fine. I guess it also depends how much longer. If was stuck on the ships due to COVID when it first happened and it was months, I might not feel so agreeable to continue paying.
  10. I went to the art auctions a couple times. My mother won a large print at one, but of course, $hipping was not included. We did buy some things (yes, I overspent. 😆 $80.) so we just paid shipping once for all three items. I gave my champagne to my mother. I didn't go to art auction on last cruise. I probably won't go again. It was just something to pass some time. If I do go, I doubt I'll buy anything. I enjoy looking at the art hanging on the walls. Some of it is truly ugly. Some of it is interesting.
  11. A charm bracelet, charms sold separately, if you went doing a specific day and time.
  12. The three crew members were on The Talk a few weeks back. I just caught a little bit. Not too interested in either show.
  13. Is it just the contestants on the ship? Which ship is it?
  14. I think one person can do it. I did it for me and my minor daughter. In the past with my mother, I would do for both of us. It's easier via app I believe because you need to scan your passport and take pictures. If the picture is no good, they take another at the pier.
  15. This explained in the posts. Go back and read them. 🙂
