What can these be used for? We have a Discover Card and we can use cash back bonus for Norwegian gift cards. Can these be used for gratuities, excursions, onboard purchases? Just trying to figure out if we should build up our cash back bonus and get some of these before our December cruise.

The NCL reward from Discover is from a travel agent, only to be used on new bookings through that travel agent.

We are on the Indy for a 4 day cruise February 18th. I know the second night is formal night. Do they serve lobster in the mdr that evening? We were on the allure in the meditarranean in the fall and they did not have lobster due to the location!
Just off of the 4 night. Lobster was not part of the standard menu on formal night. They did have the option for an up charge(I think on the order of $17).

There is a standby line you can get in which will be allowed to go into the venue about 10 minutes before the show starts.
Quick update on this, we were on the 12/10 4 nighter on Indy, and all ice shows were first come first serve open seating. Doors opened up 30 min before the show.

We use cricket for cell phones, which does not allow cellular at sea roaming, but it does allow for unlimited voice roaming in Mexico. It worked great in Cozumel.
If you have a google account, you can install google hangouts and if you have an android, hangouts dialer and call via VOIP.
Note that you can call from your stateroom, but it is $7.95 a minute

If you like history, have you been to Kennedy Space Center? It is pretty close to the port.

My wife took one on our last Carnival cruise. Carried it on with no issues at all.
Make sure you bring dish soap to clean everything as we found that they don't make it available to buy or use it on the ship, just hand soap.

Does pre-booking shows only apply to Oasis class ships or is it fleet wide?

We booked our first NCL, and part of it was the kids sail free, but not really the other promotions. We will be traveling with 2 kids.
We had a set time we wanted to go, wanted to leave from any Florida port and wanted to have a nicer boat. We wanted a room with enough space to have both kids sleep and not have to be in a pull down bed. That means a minimum of ocean view.
For a similar price, we could've gone on the Carnival Magic or the NCL Getaway. Royal Caribbean was ridiculously priced (65% more). Having experienced Carnival (and liking it), it was a tough decision, but we ultimately decided to try something new.

On our last cruise, due to some miscommunication between myself and DW, my debarkation clothes included shorts that were a size too big that required a belt but my belt ended up in the luggage taken overnight. I had to hold my pants up during the debarkation process until we got our luggage. This wouldn't have been a huge deal if we didn't have a little one with us and our hands full of said little ones stuff.

I think you might mean Port Everglades. I don't think the Freedom leaves from Port Canaveral (that I know of anyway)
He's probably talking Freedom of the Seas which is based in Canaveral

I imagine they serve Coke? My DW and I don't drink alcohol, so what would be the price of a pop package?

I needed special milk for our youngest on an upcoming NCL cruise. I emailed the access desk and got a confirmation very quickly stating it would be no problem and that our boarding pass was updated to include the exemption, which was available immediately.
