  1. How would they reprice it if it's sold out? I emailed my TA. I hope she knows how to handle it. The RFS is the only cabin that can handle all of us in 1 room. We need to be together because we'll have little ones that we'll be sharing, plus we need an accessible suite.

We have repriced RS before on more than one occasion and have several other suites booked that all are sold out categories. When I rang yesterday to check pricing on all of them they were able to give me all latest pricing.

I would assume, logical assumption rather than claiming definately know, but cabins can be cancelled at any time. If a category is sold out it would make logical sense that they reprice every category in case one becomes available so that it automatically goes back into circulation at the correct price point. Makes a lot more sense then people at RC having to check every sailing for cabins in categories that may or may not become available and reprice if they become available. I would expect there to be a base line price for all categories in the system at all times.

When I have booked before, I have even asked the price of certain cabins in categories that are sold out to use to decide if I want yo wait list for those cabins. Perhaps I've been lucky, but they have always given it to me.

Try calling c&a yourself. Don't tell them you are booked and say, I know it's booked for that sailing but could you give me the price for X guests in case it becomes available. See if they will tell you. If they do then you know what your TA should come back with.

  2. We do not use TA's but have been able to reprice on sold out categories before. Please note that they will reprice at the rate at time of repricing so it will not be based on the rate when you booked.

It is worth picking another suite that is available for your sailing and reviewing the 3rd person rate. If that has not gone up then it is definately worth enquiring. I always lead with "I'd like to check I have the best available pricing" that way they check the prices

    Hope that helps!

  3. We are on the Brilliance cruise of the Mediterranean in September. From our roll call, we were able to organize tours in all of the 9 ports. I'm the one "in charge" of 6 of those 9 ports. They are definitely much cheaper than what is offered by the cruise line. Those tours guarantee that they will have you back at port in time.

With all due respect RC also guarantee you will be back on time. We had one excursion in Europe where the coach had a minor fender bender. By law the driver was not allowed to leave the scene of the accident until a police report had been done. They had to send another coach for us. We were an hour late back to the ship after all aboard time, due to the time it took to locate an available vehicle and get it to us. Had this been a private excursion we would not have made the ship.

Whilst rare, things can and do happen. That's why some people prefer RC excursions, especially in ports where the places they are visiting are slightly further away from the port.

Don't get me wrong, I am not opposed to private tours, but the pros and cons need to be weighed up and if the OP prefers to use RC for piece of mind, that is their choice.

  4. Have been on several med cruises.

Not sure which exact sailing you are doing and they all vary slightly.

We have done the Pisa by yourself shuttle, which works great if you want to do by yourself. Note that will unlikely give you enough time if you want to climb the tower.

Naples, really enjoyed the Pompeii excursion. I would not recommend Naples. Another option would be an excursion to Capri.

If you are doing Santorini we do ourselves. NOTE WELL the donkeys up are hair raising at times! The last time I did they let the donkeys go up by themselves and someone's donkey decided to stop midway and the people they with with had no option but to keep going:eek:

It's an experience but do on the way up not on the way down;)

Athens, we have found the city sightseeing tour good, with a few nice photo stops on the way.

Malta, depends on what you want to do, but Valetta port is really close to the main part of town, so we just wander ourselves there.

We have always tried to break it up with a few intensive tours and a few DIY days in places we know really well just so we are not worn out by the end of the vacation. If you let me know the ports I can try to assist with any more questions you have.

    You will love your cruise.

    Enjoy:D

  5. I got a CR rate + free tax & port fees + 1000. Cruise cert. I think the cert is combinable with just about anything.

Agree from what I Have heard you are correct that the CR rate and cert are combinable. However not been able to get any free tax or port fees?

  6. Yes! That's the cruise ship I was on. That's what I was saying.

Forgot about the 9-11 as I played in the afternoon

The reason I Asked you was you said you played 2-3 hours in the Evening (no nightlife) most ships have evening double points hours which was why I thought you may have fallen in those hours. Now you are saying you played in the afternoon.

  7. On our March Granduer cruise there were machines that always gave double points. They had signs on them. So, there were morning double points, late night double point and on some machines always double points.

    Thanks for the info.

Does that mean those machines get quadruple points during double point hours then:confused: easy way to rack up Mickey Mouse points if they do:D

  8. They were one in the same. I didn't play any double point machines as I didn't want to get confused when I hit a certain amount how much that amount really was.

Double points are certain times. They are not restricted to certain machines. When you play during double points hours ALL MACHINES get double points

Points showing on machine DO NOT reflect true points for rating if you played during any double point hours.

  9. Well now I am very unhappy with the new program. I just did a 5 night sailing on IOS, I checked a picture I took on the last night and I had over 3600 points, yet all I got was a certificate for an inside cabin or $500. I do not understand how they are making these decisions. At a minimum they need to look at average nightly play not total, because you cannot compare earning 3600 points on a 10 night cruise vs 3600 points on a 5 night cruise.

    :mad::mad:

Agree, you deserve twice what Stleda got based on average play.

  10. I'll add to the CHIP PORN...

This was from a morning session at Planet Hollywood in 2009. Three shoes where I was playing solo and FLAT BETTING! It was like I couldn't lose. I often think about what I would have walked away with if I had been pressing my bets!

We were staying in a pretty cool (Will Smith) suite there - complete with movie memorabilia

That run of the cards was MOST NEEDED, as this was the morning of the day we left, and that single win GOT ME BACK TO EVEN for the week! (so, by my standards - a winning trip) !!

    Tom

Love the pictures. Looks like a really great room. The notes look really cool as well:D

  11. I agree. Also, they do not include promo or double points. If you played a slot with double points it doesn't count and that sucks

So what were your points showing on your card and what was your non promo/non double points count:confused:

  12. Jesus, this again. I started my cruise on the 17th. Is there a single post from then or before about it? No. I had no idea that it was in reach. I thought it was for special VIP players. Didn't think twice about it. Then on day 2. Boom, 300 points. That was easy. Asked about it. Then intended to go after it. Got to it. Couldn't talk to host till 6 or 7. Post on here. Cancel carnival (never wanted to sail with them but three cruises at my expense in one year, had to) I'll take the risk. I knew the 2400 was worth enough to make the switch.

I'm not saying you necessarily intended to go for it before the cruise. I am saying at some point on the cruise you DID decide to go for it. From that point on you made it your mission to get a certificate to the point that you asked for it before it was offered.

You must have known before the cruise it existed for it to have even crossed your mind to enquire about it, like you stated you did, which was when you posted to enquire about being able to sell the certificate.

You then started cancelling cruises and planning alternative cruises whilst onboard. For someone that is OCD that's a rather impulsive course of action.

  13. I don't take it disrespectfully. I never intended to go after it. Or else I would have known the rules going in (OCD) and planned. On slots I only play max bet. (Years ago I hit jackpot on 40 cents and instead of 12k I got under 500). But I play penny $3 max mostly $2.

Second night I was at like 300. That's when I started going towards it and playing longer. It climbed faster and bomb 2400

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

But you did intend to go after it, that's why you started asking questions before and asked for it as soon as you hit the point threshold, and cancelled your other cruise before you even got off the ship and fully understood what was on offer.

  14. I will take a photo of said certificate tomorrow. If you are saying 2400 points equals 600 off a cruise you are incorrect. If you are saying it cost 600 to get 2400 points then I am not sure. It doesn't matter how much you win or lose its how much you play. And as mentioned above, I wrote the post before talking to the host because I got excited as anyone would.

The 425 didn't get me a cert, my hours of play daily did. It was just a nice way to end the cruise you [emoji206]hat.

Also, per everyone telling me it was best to move my question to the casino board, I asked it here.

Lastly, I don't know what is combinable and what isn't. I just know this:

I called RC, I gave them my offer code. They looked up my account. For the July 9th Eastern Caribbean FLL port on Oasis my Casino Rate with taxes and gratuities (not pd by Royal paid by me, they said must be prepaid) is $2273.10 minus $750 cert. $1523.10. Quoted. So clearly your point system and other bs you're trying isn't correct.

I do not understand how people like you get to stay on this crap. I make a post. I'm told I would get better answers here. I post on here and am told to stay with one post.

    What type of cabin?

  15. I was surprised. I was with my dad I put two on double 00 (and a few others that don't have to do with this). (Sounded good lol). Lost lost lost lost etc etc. hit. 70 dollars. My dad said if it hits you double so I put 2 more (4 total). Immediately hits. 140. Then my dad says double up. Well I'm not begging 8 dollars on something that's probably not going to hit. At this point there's a lot of people around because everyone's loud because 00 came up twice in a row. I put 6 on, and hit! 210. 420 all together played for a while after but nothing like that.

Also the rating thing. See that's what I thought but all she did was swipe my card and type in cash 100 buy in. Then Bee, Casino Host came to me and said you're 50 something points away. (I had been bugging her). When I had left slots I was around 3400. They never typed on the thing except if someone handed more cash not chips. Then a little while later she said she was going to go get the new one. But I bet max 10 a hand ish

No disrespect, but if that's all you were betting it shows what a mockery the new program has become:rolleyes:

In order to qualify for Royal Caribbean Club Royale rewards the participants have to play a minimum of two hours per day during the duration of their cruise and place the following minimum bets: Slots at $5.00 per spin, Blackjack/Dice at $50.00 per hand/roll, or Three Card Poker/Caribbean Stud/Let It Ride/Roulette at $25.00 per hand/spin.

    FACT

1 point equals $5 in spins. If you do not spin at $5 per spin then once you reach $5 you will get 1 point.

You were recommended here to ask legitimate CR questions, not to call BS on vastly experienced long standing CR members that are trying to explain to you how the program runs.

Have you actually read the thread in its entirety, because if not I suggest you do.

  17. The rebate amount was incorrect that was my fault. The host, I was told would be there at 6 or 7 but I get so excited and antsy so I posted before I spoke to her. That's why when they gave me the 500 certificate I went for the 750 one. Although there was a highlighted board and it said nothing about that next tier.

I got the points on slots. I was at 3400 when I switched over (roughly). I played on the 25th and 26th for hours and hours. For one, everyone was tired I wasn't. For two, it's not like slots (the way I was betting) my money went down a little then up a little. Went in with 100 and never needed more. Then Bee, the casino host came over while I was at the table on the 26th.

Thank you for clarifying the discrepancy. Given you went in with $100 on roulette you must have been pretty lucky as they only rate you at $25 a spin or more. To make 300points from $100 must have taken some doing.

Review on the 27th. I assume you won't be back with your witty comments now.

Interesting that when you hit 2400 points you stated the credit was $750 but was still $750 for 3700 points. Re-read what you wrote.

You must have been playing roulette a lot for a long period to get 1300 more points if that's the game you switched to.

Also confused as you state in your tweet losses $350 to get certificate but in post quoted above you say it's $550. I think the issue is more your statements don't match from thread to thread so make it difficult to know what is accurate. Also any points accrued during double points should not count towards rebate. How many points were slots and how many accrued during double point time. ?

Also 1 point is $5 spent so that's where PompeySailor got his figures from.

  19. OMG, it *DOES* say that!

    Holy carp!

    Total nonsense!

    :

Just like Harmony aqua suite is showing as 1 bed and a 2 bed and is bookable as both star class and sky class for the exact same cabin on the exact same sailing. Oh and don't forget the enchantment for next March that when you select date to book defaults you to a cruise November:rolleyes:

One day they might fix their site:)
