The Immigration Inspection information was handed out this morning. This looks like a real cluster, I had a 75 minute massage scheduled for 9:30, I called to cancel and moved it to Friday. The Spa knew nothing about this. The part I find strange is that you cannot reboard the ship till everyone has gone through immigration. Several years ago I did this similar itinerary with Princess but our last port stop was Ensenada.

Breakfast in the Main Dining Room. Different for at least us I have never seen specials on the breakfast menu.

Greetings from Ensenada Mexico, weather is nice although a bit foggy. I am pretty sure not many got off the ship this evening especially based on how full the show lounge was. Tonight was a comedian by the name of Chris Strait. He was pretty funny with a family friendly comedy. He stated he would have a show later in the week that was more adult themed. After the show we walked past the Rolling Stone Lounge, it was packed there was not even standing room. The band sounded pretty good. BB King Lounge had not started up yet, they are doing Memphis Nights starting at 8:45.

No starter for Tom but I had the Seafood Deviled Eggs, then the Spaghetti and meatballs and the Red Velvet Cake, of course we both had Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling then I had Coffee with dessert, Tom had the Filet and Lobster

Tom says go for two 😂

I actually took screen shots of my boarding passes and used that rather than trying to pull up Navigator. It worked totally fine with the bar code.

We actually walked through there at that time but hav to admit I kind of forgot. Although I think you may have been I. Our section for boarding. I found Terry because he had said in roll call what his shirt would be.

Good morning from the Koningsdam, we are now relaxing in a very busy Crows Nest , Toms reading and I am on my phone in Cc and FB sipping on Iced Coffee. This morning we dined in the Main Dining Room there was a long line to get in at about 8:15 then suddenly they seated everyone quickly. Once in and service was excellent, food Hot and good. After breakfast I wanted to get done walking in but still need to do more. We also did some browsing through the shops and actually did not find much. Even the Effy store did not have the earrings I wanted. Did buy a chain on the inch of gold 😂 don’t laugh I have actually had good luck with those chains and they can put a larger clasp on them so it is easier to get on. I have several lovely pendants from Effy but the chains that come with them are terrible. Also in our walking about the ship I saw the Hotel Manager so we chatted with Ron, he remembered us from many years ago. Then Marion came over the Assistant HM and we both got hugs from her. She was excited to see us, we had not seen her in several years. We are going to try to meet up later in the cruise. So it kind of felt like old home week seeing Officers we have known for many years. Today is basically a sea day although I think we are just slowly sailing in circles lol, since we don’t get to Ensenada till after 6 due to having too many ships in port. I doubt there will be anyone actually getting off at 6:30 at night.

I don’t think they were that strict with check in but they were with waiting to board if it was as before boarding started. They were checking your boarding pass and making sure you sat in the area you are assigned. The only difference that I saw was if you were 4 and 5 star 2 different reps stated yes if 4 or 5 star you could wait in the A Boarding Group.

The Assistant General Hotel Manager is Marion Keijer she is Married to Jack the Chief Engineer. Marion use to be Guest Relations Manager which is Supervisor of the Front desk. I have know Marion for many years.

We have sailed many HAL Neptune Suites as well as several Princess full suites including Owners Suite. We like both for different reasons. Actually we prefer the Suite layout and bathrooms on Princess over HAL but HALS closets are better that most of the Princess closets. Of course depending on the class of ship for both Princess and HAL makes a difference when comparing. The Royal class and newer on Princess has the equivalent of a Neptune Lounge but it is actually much nicer with giving access to the lounge with your key card 24/7 to get complimentary bottled water and sodas. Having Breakfast in Sabatini’s I feel is nicer . Service is great and a much nicer breakfast menu but NCL Haven beats both for Suite breakfast. But with the likes of Princess overall I prefer HAL’s food over Princess. Also with Princess you get your own Mini Bar set up that is Complementary. we were last in a Neptune Suite 6 weeks ago and Full Princess strong Discovery last December

Getting frustrated my pics will not upload. yet internet seems ok thinking too many mb on the basic internet package. I will try fewer photos, that did not do it. I may upgrade tomorrow to the better WiFi that or it is CC, because before I was on ship wifi had the same problem In San Diego, think it is CC not allow pics with more than 3mb

It is definitely going to be an early night since we have been up since 3 am. Been a very good day. Everything went smoothly from flight, check in and getting on board. since we booked last minute we were Waitlisted for Early Dining Table for two. When we got on board we still had Open Dining but we were able to get Fixed with table for two. So the rest of the week for dining will work out well. Our stateroom is toward the aft on deck 4 with the extended larger balconies. They definitely feel smaller than the regular balcony cabins on the Vista Class. But the larger balcony makes up for the smaller space. Just wish there was more closet for hanging up clothes for two people. Earlier today we went to the Exclusive Reception Cocktail Party for Mariners, the invitation stated 3,4 and 5 star Mariners but the turnout out was do big they had to turn away 3 star Mariners and told us just 4 and 5. I do have some sad news it appears at least here on the Koningsdam they no longer have the Peanut Butter Silk Pie for Embarkation Day 😰. The last time they served it was 28 days ago. Well I think I have caught you up, I definitely cannot wait to get some sleep tonight. I am now been up 17 hours with probably just 3 hours of sleep. Here are some pictures from earlier today. Ok for what we had. We each had a couple of glasses of Chateau Ste Michelle Riesling, then I had the Shrimp and Lobster Pot Stickers, Tom had the tempura Shrimp and Chinese 5 Spice baby back Ribs, because Thanks Marcia Crafts 😊 then we both had the Wasabi Encrusted Filet mine as described and Tom’s No Wasabi Encrusted 😂, then Tom skipped dessert and I had the Yusu Cheesecake. We had an amazing server Aurora who remembers us frequently m Oosterdam and Westerdam. She worked in the Pinnacle Grill for many years.

Do not know Manager of PG and Tamarind yet but below is the Officers. I thought The Daily would list who is in the Piano Bar but no such luck.

I will get back on line later tonight to update but I wanted to play “What would order for Dinner tonight?” We are in Tamarind with a great view of the aft while we sail away. We have just ordered and have our glass of wine.

Check in at B Street Pier was super easy and smooth. Just waiting for boarding to start. Got to see @DAllenTCY It was as great seeing David 😊

We made it to San Diego, super quick flight we were in the air at 6:55am and landed by 7:45 am it’s now about 8:40 so we have a little less than 2 hours before we hear over to the pier.
