Thank you Jan, I think we will go ahead and stick with our originally booked cabin, so your information is welcome news. I'll be on Upper Deck, which deck location is no big deal for me. I just can't wait until April!

Thank you both. That's exactly what I'm trying to do teaach, get the most out of the extra money I spent!

Ok I'm getting conflicting information. I have read before that the aft extended balconies in the middle are larger than the ones located next to the aft wrap (which is what I currently have booked). But I called Carnival and the rep said while she didn't mind switching my cabin, the cabins are all the same square footage.
Anyone have any experience with these cabins? Looking for some advice on whether or not I should make the move. Thanks in advance!!

Boarding is definitely at the top of my list. Nothing like that smell of a cruise ship to welcome you to several days of a stress free life! A close second is the dining experience in the MDR. I love being waited on and having access to the entire menu every night. It kills me to have to settle on one item in a restaurant when I really want to try two or more!! Lol

My wait staff on the Magic told me calories don't count so it's gotta be true...right?

Exactly what I was thinking. I actually hope to get more. I'm not a survey taker but I'll gladly help Carnival. Thanks for the reply!

I received an email today from Carnival asking me to take a survey (it was about dining options, times, etc.). I happily completed it, but it has me wondering, does Carnival ever offer anything to those who complete them? It's really no big deal as I'm sure in the end, my input will be part of a better experience for all, but who doesn't like a freebie now and then? :)

Got lucky a couple months ago and landed a $50 deposit sale. Booked our honeymoon in a hurry!

Not a problem! My favorite meal is the sea day brunch. I suppose you could hit it up around lunch time. But it's by far the best meal for me!!
-
As far as I know, lunch is not served in the MDR. If it's different in the Valor, I'm sorry, but I've never seen lunch there!! Enjoy your cruise!! :)

I prefer sea days slightly more than port days

Got March 27 Magic. It wouldn't go through on my mobile phone but no problem when I switched to a computer.
And happened to me, had to use desktop site on my phone.

You guys answered my question, thanks!! I was wondering if the social media package allowed pictures to be posted to Facebook. But I have another question. Social Media package allows use of iMessage on iPhones? Thanks a bunch!!

We got an up sell to a balcony on our sailing in 2013, 3 people, and the bunk was pulled down. I was the third person so I slept on the sofa, but got it ready for use during the day. The bunk we used for extra storage space.

My girlfriend and I sail this cruise on the 29th! We are not seasoned cruisers (her first, my second) so I'm sure we won't be as critical about the room (although my first was on the beautiful Magic!). I'm not meaning any disrespect, but after so many cruises, I'm sure you've become accustomed to a certain level of quality. Thank you so much for the review!! :)

Yeah that's why I got the small. The pieces are huge!

Just a note, I ordered a small pastry tray for three of us on the Magic in April. We all like to eat, and this thing was so big we ended up throwing away half of it!! Be prepared if you order this...there are lots of goodies on it!!!

Got my GTY interior room assignment but I have a question. Is it possible that my room category can get upgraded after being assigned? Like maybe a better deck or bigger interior room after initial assignment?

Sailing on 1/29/15 aboard the Elation. Booked Inside guarantee, assigned on Upper Deck, room U106. Room is not a big deal to me as its just a place to refresh and recharge ;)

Yeah I called my PVP and he said that I don't really qualify for anything. But it's all good, it doesn't matter where I end up, as long as I end up in the Elation ;)
Thanks for the help!!

Chefs Table on the Sunshine
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
We have the Chef's Table reserved for April on the Magic. So excited to try this, as this cruise will be very special for my fiancée and I. Honeymoon cruise, aft balcony cabin and now the Chef's Table. We are very budget conscious so we decided to splurge on this sailing because it's our honeymoon. And thankfully since our initial cruise got cancelled due to the repositioning of the Magic, we each got $50 OBC, so Chef's Table will cost $50 out of pocket which I consider to be an incredible deal! Also thinking of trying the steakhouse, maybe a couple more splurges. And this is my fiancée's second cruise, first was on Elation but now she gets to sail on my favorite ship, the Magic. Plus she gets to experience a balcony, which I'm sure she will love. Anyway, menu and pics would be great!!
