Happy Labor Day! My DS is having a dinner party tonight! I already did my walk and tai chi, so I am just relaxing! @Cruzin TerriHope water dries up and doesn’t damage much. I wonder why Dakar was removed from itinerary- I saw on Africa news that there has been severe flooding, but that happens sometimes there.

@Cruzin Terri Happy birthday! I had a beautiful ginger cat - pre digital. We got biscotto in Rome when my DH volunteered at cat shelter in Largo Argentina. He was the biggest and nicest cat we ever had. Though all cats are great!

Sky this morning was red and cloudy. I worked at the American embassy in Barbados for two years 1998-2000 and have been back on cruises and once just to stay at a beach resort. Though I still love Barbados, it has got very crowded with high rises along the beach. best wishes to all.

Thanks for daily report and all of the helpful comments yesterday! I walked to tai chi in a park about a mile away. Then I swam and used the hot tub, so I am done exercising for today! Wine sounds good, but a bit too expensive.

Happy Sunday! I am having joint pain which I never had before. When I first get up in the morning and later on getting out of a chair there is pain and stiffness, but then I can move normally without pain. So I don’t know what to do? Is this just normal aging? Other than that all is well! Last night we have dinner at a friend’s and this morning we will walk about a mile to our church.

Happy Saturday! I finally feel caught up with paperwork after our cruise! Now I need to think about preparing for our next cruise - visas, insurance, vaccinations, etc. Cheers!

Happy Thursday! I like sidecars and banana splits, but haven’t had either for years! I had a radical haircut yesterday. I like it, but? It is a big change. My dh just said it will be easier to take care of.

@Vict0riann happy birthday! I really like daffodils- but don’t grow them anymore. In Pennsylvania and Virginia I loved to see them pop up! Last night coming home from a baseball game we got drenched by rain even though we had rain jackets. Tonight there will be another game and likely showers again. best wishes!

We are having a sea day before Halifax- internet has been spotty, so no posts. Has been a nice trip!

Internet is much better today! I purchased it pre voyage which was cheaper! yesterday when I went to open safe it did not work. It requires a black striped credit card. Guest services opened it, and then my credit card still did not work. Luckily my husband had one black striped card which is working. All of our other credit cards have silver stripes.

Thanks for daily report! We boarded Zaandam Saturday and have had a busy cruise so far! Lots of excellent lectures, talks, entertainment and food and drink! we tendered into our first stops, very efficient operation- but not my favorite mode of getting on and off. I do like seeing smaller ports! best wishes to all!

We are enjoying cruise! Lectures have been very informative- with great photos! Entertainment is good - comedian last night was really funny, male singers were really good too! One night it was the bbc movie of animals with live music- we did not see it. Food has been good in dining room and lido. For gala night in dining room included lobster and filet were perfectly cooked to order! tender operation is working well - very efficient!

I really liked the book too! And blueberries are my favorite fruit! I usually get any needed foreign currency from atms using card without fees, and keep any leftover for future trips. I have found that on ship they have smaller denominations that they will trade you if you find you have big ones from atms.
