We took this out of Halifax last year and it was great. I would book it again but the price for us out of Halifax has gone up almost $1000 per person.....

We booked a B2B for September on The Visions of the Sea and we got the select beverage package but I would like to be able to upgrade to the premium beverage package. Should I just do it onboard the first day? Also can you use your OBC to pay for it?
Thanks in advance.

We did last year and I have to say it was great. I think Celebrity did it top notch.
I would do it this year but the price has risen by almost $1400 per person. We only paid $1499 for an inside last year. I understand that they are flying you down the day before and putting you in a hotel but I really don't see that it should cost almost $3000.00 more for that.

Has anyone stated at Hotel Continental? I am wondering how hard it is to get from the airport and then to the cruise ship? We have not booked any hotel yet so we are open.

We've only been there once and stayed at the Hotel Santa Chiara, for the reasons above. It was one bridge from the train station and next to a parking lot where you could catch a land taxi to the airport (or the cheaper shuttle). You really take land for granted until you try to get around there with cruise luggage.
It is an old hotel, but cool. We had brocade walls, crystal chandeliers, older furniture - not a modern hotel. We loved it there. We had a view of the Grand Canal from our room and got to watch the tourists trying to drag their luggage up over the bridge (as we had done earlier). They were extremely friendly at the hotel and there were many good restaurants close by. There was a water taxi stop nearby, as well as the People Mover to the cruise ships. We would definitely stay there again.
We hired a tour guide to do a 2 hour walking tour from our hotel to local neighborhoods, markets, P San Marco, etc. and then she took us on a private water taxi for an hour and we saw the city from the water. It was an amazing tour. Absolutely loved Venice and can't wait to go back!
Do you have the name of the company that you took this tour with?
We are going on a B2B in sept/oct and are going to spend a few days and this tours sounds wonderful.

We did our first Celebrity out of Halifax with the all inclusive and wanted to book again for this year but when the packages came out I figured it out and I can book it all separate and save $1000. Did you know that with the all inclusive package this year you are flying in the day before and they are putting you up in a hotel, that is the reason they are saying the price increased.

I wish I knew which online TA you guys are using......:):):):)

When in Halifax if you are adventurous you should try a donair, it is meat in a pita bread with a sweet sauce topped with tomatoes and onions.
-
YIKES! A verandah package for $2599 pp? That's a HUGE increase from last year - booking on board to get the bev pack, your own hotel and air you're still $500 to the good....

Has been announced! But holy the prices are much higher than last year, but they do include going the day before and a night in a hotel.

Can we purchase two different beverage packages, my husband doesn't drink so he would get the classic non-alcoholic drink package for the speciality coffee but I would like the classic package. Or do we both have to have the same drink package?

Can't wait to read more, we are considering this cruise in September 2016

I had an iron and ironing board brought up to our room so I could iron. I just called housekeeping.

Yes you just have to show up with your passport. We did this out of Halifax on March 7. It was first class service from the beginning to the end. I want to go back.......
I hope they continue to do it next year.

I have been watching this itinerary also, it has almost every port I would like to go to but I was thinking it was a little pricy for the ship too.

As others have said it all depends on length or cruise & class of cabin you cruise in... Also look out for bonus points on offer to book certain cruises between certain dates... I don't think there are any on offer at the moment but with celebrity's promo program they do have offers quite regularly!
Personally our first cruise was in December 2012 and we have just returned from our 5th celebrity cruise and are now "Elite" for our next cruise in May... we have well and truly been bitten by the cruising bug so struggle to do any other kind of holiday and as we don't have children to fund we are quite lucky to be able to have 2/3 cruises a year! :D
Happy sailing :)
We did book a 14 day cruise while onboard so that will add to my points....:):):)

That's right Juanita, get out of that snow more often. :p
I really do need to get out of this snow......100cms over 3 feet since last sunday.....
I can wait to move south to a warm climate only 4 more years

I am wondering how do you earn so many points, I am new celebrity cruiser and it just seems to me like it is going to take so long to get any type of perks. Give me your tips.

Thon, was your plane full? Just curious as to how popular these charters are.
Our plane from Halifax was full.
