I have a question. There used to be a VCR in a GS. On my last two cruises (Anthem and Harmony) no VCR in a GS. Can we bring ours? Will it connect to the TV in my cabin?

I'm on this TA with you, trolleydolly. Our roll call has set up many events in addition to the ship's events. We should have plenty to do.

I forgot to list no fresh squeezed OJ anymore, you have to pay for room service food now and they charging $25pp for the luggage valet but they will take that change off at CS if you stand in line for 45 minutes or so.

Ha ha that is funny! And we have bathtubs, not showers. Stick to what you know.

Flame me if you want, I don't care. When we pay 10 times more than you do we expect better service. I could list a dozen more little things that are gone. They even took out the clothes line over the tub. Time to look at other lines. I'm on Harmony right now and I'm not getting what I paid for.

Sorry, I'm new at posting topics. What I am trying to say the perks Suite people get are disappearing. They are small thing that most people wouldn't notice but they add
up to a big downgrade in service for folks paying the most for their cabins. No pillow menus, no DVD player, no tray of chocolates, no cream for the coffee in the CK, no Thermal Spa even though it was advertised,Etc. Lots of little things things that enhance the cruise experience and that we are used to getting.

Wow, just saw the Star Class perks on the Next Cruise channel in our Suite. Your week long Thermal Spa perk is now a one day pass. And our one day pass is totally gone.

To the poster who asked about the Thermal Package; no, they would not honor the list of perks I printed last summer, but we're only Sky Class sailing in a Grand Suite. I have no idea if Royal has messed with the Star Class perks. Hubby is going to Guess Services in the morning to dispute the luggage valet charges.

About booking NCL, don't, at least not the Epic. The swimming pools are beyond tiny, like 12 by 12 feet, and if you're not in a Suite, the toilet is in the bathtub! I'm not kidding! So many other things are wrong with that ship NCL only built the Epic and cancelled plans to build her 2 sisters.

I'm on Harmony now and loving it! DH and I saw 1887 tonight and it was great. We don't do the slides as we are retired and too out of shape, lol. We were a bit surprised at all the Suite perks Royal has removed. The luggage valet used to be free for Suites, now they charge $25 a person. There used to be a DVD player in the Suite, not anymore. And the Thermal spa was free when Royal started the new Suite program, now that perk is gone, too. Luckily I printed out the perks program last summer so they couldn't refuse to give us the spa. Small stuff I know, but it ticked hubby off enough to go to Guest Service and complain.

Have you joined your roll call and meet and mingle? Lots of time your roll call will organize bar meet ups, slot pulls, etc. The first thing usually scheduled is an informal meet up at the Sky Bar around 2pm.

Sorry, I got the names wrong. The 3 are Viking crown lounge, Diamond lounge and the Concierge Club.

Plus most Universities don't start 2 semester until around the 20th so college "kids" may be onboard.

I'm confused as to which lounge we should use on the Indy. There seems to be 3 lounges on the deck of plans, Concierge, Diamond and the Royal Crown lounge. We are Diamond and will be cruising in a Suite.

You can maybe get it on your TV on CNN, but it's CNN International so maybe not. But I'm sure it will be streaming, so pick a party and watch on their website

You may want to add a pair of slacks and a couple polo shirts for dining in other than the buffet. Then you can eat anywhere on the ship.

Brings back memories! I'm not sure what you call it, but it plays CD movies on the TV.
