We were supposed to be sailing on Celebrity Equinox this weekend to the ABC islands, but had to cancel yesterday. Reading your review will hopefully ease the pain some. We have only been sailing Celebrity for about the last decade, but because of your lives on Carnival MeganGC1983, we felt comfortable going back to Carnival after many years. We had a great time on the Horizon, so thank you! Enjoy your trip! I hope you love Celebrity!

We sailed Carnival as college students and as a young married couple. We loved it! Later tried Royal, which was fine, and NCL, which we said we’d never do again. We found Celebrity and thought it was our perfect match and have enjoyed it since. Last fall, we cruised CCL again only because that was our adult kids’ preference. We were so nervous to go, but we loved every minute. Sure there are pros and cons to both, but we savored every minute and appreciated all that CCL had to offer, which was honestly much better than we had expected. We were in the Havana area, which may or may not have played a part in our enjoyment. We’ll only know that when we choose Carnival again. Celebrity tends to be more expensive, but we found a great deal for next winter that is far less than anything Carnival was offering. Happy Cruising, Everyone!

I have really enjoyed reading everyone’s perspectives. We have done CCL, RCL, and NCL multiple times, but all 12+ years ago. We were introduced to Celebrity and found what we felt was the perfect amount of pampering. We love their all inclusive pricing and feel our cruises have been similarly priced to the other lines once the other costs are factored in. However, our choices are limited if we stick with just Celebrity. We are excited for an upcoming cruise on Horizon this fall. We will be sailing with our daughter and friend who are in their late 20s, and they picked the ship. We will be staying in the Havana area. We were honestly worried we may be too old to still enjoy CCL, but these perspectives and reviews on CC have eliminated our fears. We hope we love it and a new door will be opened for us. 😀
