We are hitting Grand Turk June 2019. I was just looking a the listed excursions and didnt see the cabana rental at Margaritaville listed. Is it possible they are already booked?? Also how do you check to see if other ships will be there the same day?
I checked the Grand Turk port schedule. It will also give you information about the island.
Keep looking for the cabana. Mine was there last night when I checked. Finally! We are now booked.

Thanks. The Pride is the only ship in port.
It is possible they haven't released the cabanas yet. Carnival seems slow at getting shore excursions for this cruise, a 14 day Journeys.
-
The cabanas are not showing up for our January 6 cruise on the Pride. I have been watching since they began posting the shore excursions.

Last December Canadians got off and went through customs with everyone else.

Once you reach the 100 day mark you will be able to see the show times and dining times. Many of the shows on the Breakaway are at 7:30 and 9:30. You will have a special section dedicated to Haven guests in the theater.
I like to make reservations online because the popular times can sell out. If you change your plans, the concierge can assist you with a reservation change.
Teppenyaki will be a fun dinner for you. There will be an upcharge for the Cirque show of about 15 dollars. You also have access to the Haven restaurant which is lovely.
Have a wonderful time!

Sailing on the Breakaway December 3. We had an aft balcony and we're upgraded to a Haven two bedroom family with balcony on deck 16 yesterday. We are going to miss the balcony space but I think the Haven will be worth it.

The Gem feels less like a hotel than the Breakaway and the crew seems to interact more with the guests. Your breakfast and lunch will be in Cagney's, which is lovely.
And.... The theater seats are wayyyy more comfortable!

Yes, there will!

If it is before final payment, it shouldn't be a problem.

Last year on a 14 day Breakaway cruise from New York we used the thermal suite almost every day. It is worth it to have a semi private pool, especially in colder weather.
-
If you upgrade to a Haven spa suite, then yes. With other Haven suites you would have to purchase passes.
-
If you have a 9:30 check in you will all probably be able to board relatively quickly after they begin boarding, which might not be until after 11:00. Sit and chat, enjoy your time together and board when your MIL' s zone number is called.

Kennedy Space Center isn't too far from the port. You could take a cab and explore on your own. There is enough to see to keep you busy all day, if you wish.

Your first cruise such an exciting experience.
Try not to over pack because the atmosphere is casual. Some people buy an inexpensive shoe bag to organize items. It can be left behind and you will have more room for souvenirs.
There will be a schedule for the day when you board the ship. It should contain information about sign up for the youth programs along with dining, activities, and shows.
You can make reservations for the complimentary dining rooms in advance online, if you wish.
-
You can exchange the wine for a non-alcoholic sparkling cider.
-
Usually there is a fixed chair and a reclining chair on each balcony.
-
The Sunshine will have washers and dryers so you might be able to pack for two weeks instead of three. There will be a bag of laundry deal during your first cruise.
It depends on how much you want to lug around. I am a fan of packing light.

By all means go to the beach instead of staying on the ship. You will have two different beach experiences. The waves at Cocoa Beach are lovely to listen to.
You might consider a thermal suite pass to retreat from the crowds. We are trying it on the Breakaway in November.

I once saw a sign that said, "Unattended children will be given a cappuccino and a puppy."
-
The ship will have beach towels for you.

Some couples have a quiet ceremony and get married beforehand.
When you have your shipboard "wedding" you will have all of the romance, none of the paperwork😍

There was a wind and rain storm in Saint John and either a transformer blew or trees came down on the power lines. The power wasn't restored until after 5 pm.

My cat likes to climb into my suitcase and go bald.
My daughter's cat goes to her toy box and packs tiny mice in the suitcase.

The weather should be fine. You will be far enough south for that summer atmosphere.
Have a lovely day!

You should allow at least an hour. It is not worth the stress of trying to get to transportation that is waiting.
