  1. I have been on 13 cruises on 7 different ships since August 2021 and every ship but the last had a computer and printer area for guests.  My last being on the Odyssey of the Seas did not.  Are folks finding that this is not the trend on all the ships?  Having a computer and a printer on the ship has its place and purpose and has always been helpful if you wanted something to use bigger than a cell phone or iPad.  And for those that have neither of these it is a real big help.  They said I could send a document to one of the Concierges but that can be problematic if personal, etc., and I'd still need a cell or iPad.  And I'm not hauling a laptop for limited use.

  2. We use Allianz  AllTrips Premier Plan.  The Plan Coverage is provided for all family members residing in the same household, excluding service animals, Emergency Medical/Dental Coverage is secondary, for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption Coverages, the maximum benefit limit is per coverage period for all insureds, the maximum trip length is 90 days, and Rental Car Damage and Theft Coverage maximum benefit limit is per trip for all insureds.  Mine covers COVID illnesses. And much more.  We have never needed to use it but I wanted it for the extended periods of more than 30-45 days.  We get it on an annual basis.

Wow. Love the number. Hope our Feb cruise is that low.  Definitely will help with social distancing.

Top Tier was this morning at 1015 EST. They said the largest attendance ever for a small number of paxs. It was crowded. Good turnout.

Was wrong about the ostrich on the plane.   It was a Peacock!   There was also a snake,  tortoise, a marmoset, and ....  the problem is where do you draw the line.  What about animals left in the cabin when an attendant comes in to clean, or when alone, starts to make noise.  This is a slippery slope.

So where do these  people put these animals when they go to the bathroom?  Could get kind of crowded in there with a peacock!!

  5. RCI agent told me today that if RCI cancels your cruise you can use that FCC towards another cruise in 2022 and the double points will count.. automatically.  I saw on another post where someone posted this data from the boss himself.  My early Feb 22 cruise was cancelled by RCI and I immediately booked another one (in 2 weeks) in it's place but could not get the double points because I have to pay for it ASAP and it'll take a month before I get the FCC.  And the other 18 cruises I have this year are already booked under the double points promo.  I tried to get them to let me use it in 2023 but a Supervisor said no can do!!  Oh well!

  6. Apparently RCI is taking some time before you get your Pinnacle package with the lapel pins, certificate for free cruise, etc.,  once you make it.  We made it on a cruise ending 11 Dec 21 and have yet to receive anything other than the Crystal, bottle of champagne, and certificate for making it on the ship.  We've had several cruisses since then and am leaving for 3 back to back cruises this weekend and hope to have it all before I get back.  But your SeaPass card is loaded once you get on the next cruise after you make it with the on-board amenities, like the 6 drinks each, free WiFi each, discounts on special restaurants, etc.  The LA is a great source of information on most cruises.

To our Crown & Anchor Members impacted by the recent sailing cancellations.

Last week, we announced cancellations of several sailings and received many questions regarding the Double Point promotion.    Please note as soon as the Future Cruise Credit (FCC) issued for these cancellations is applied to an upcoming booking, we will automatically apply the Double Points. There’s nothing you need to do to ensure the points are applied.

We know many of you booked your vacations because of the Double Points promotion, and we look forward to seeing you back onboard.

In just talking to RCI the FCC for double points would only apply to a cruise booked for 2022.  Subsequently, the cruise that I booked to replace this one in 2 weeks would qualify, however, I will not get the FCC prior to departure date in 2  weeks and have to pay it off otherwise.  My other 16 cruises this year are already booked on the double point promo.  Nowhere to plug in another one.

  8. On our recent December 2021 Christmas and New Years cruise on the Oasis of the Sea the Captain's girlfriend from Florida had her dog on the ship and it barked and everyone was petting it.  It for sure was no service animal as she was without it beside her most of the times we saw her.  But being the Captain's girlfriend I guess RCI rules don't apply.  Of course this being the same Captain that I have a photo of standing and talking to a individual on the Promenade - Deck 5 for over 20 minutes with neither of them having a mask on.
