  1. Loving your review so far!  We did B2B on the Horizon in May and we absolutely loved it!  We had never been to Aruba or Curacao and they turned out to be our all-time favorites!!  Aruba was just gorgeous!  And in regards to Alchemy, I give a special kudos to Anna Maria!  She will make you anything you desire!  We sailed with her on the Vista and to our surprise she was on the Horizon!  We paid homage to her every night!!  LOL..... Enjoy!! 🙂

We are sailing the 3 day inaugural voyage and the following 7 day voyage this December. We booked a Chef's table and three other specialty venues. Also, they did not ask for a payment. Just a response notice to stand by for confirmation emails, although they gave no indication as to when those emails might arrive.

Hope that helps and that you are able to get your desired reservations.

Thanks so much!  I'll keep checking....I'm figuring May is still a long way off. 🙂

Let the bookings begin! Just made all of our specialty dining reservations for our Panorama sailings. Fingers crossed while we wait for the confirmation emails.

Hopefully the Carnival I.T. team have worked out all of the bug issues. Good luck all!

Can I ask when you are sailing?  We are going in May 2020 and I cannot access anything regarding specialty dining. TIA

  4. Hi Jamman54!  A fellow Jersey native here....lol....Happy Belated Anniversary!  We just got back from our first B2B on the Horizon celebrating our anniversary as well!  Best thing we ever did!  I am just loving your review, especially all the information about Long Beach!  We have booked Panorama for next May and are so excited to do the Mexican Riviera!! First time for that as well!  Also loved your pictures of Catalina!  We visited there over Christmas (my BIL lives in San Diego) and it's just gorgeous!  Thank you again for your review - can't wait to read about your trip to Hawaii. 🙂

Just to confirm you know the season ends May 15th, so make sure you go before your cruise!  You are just in time.

Hate that season is almost over but Joe's will have crabs past that date.  They do flash freeze them but know how to defrost them so they are not fishy at all.

We ate there last summer right before the closed and the stone crabs were still fantastic!!  Last year it was the end of July when they closed.

Yes, we'll be there before the 15th...and good to know that they do "flash freeze".  Glad we'll be there before the season is over!!  🙂

I don't know if this excursion is available on your cruise or not but the Segway tour in Aruba was a blast.  They split you into two groups.  One group  takes the Segways and goes up to the light house, stops for photo ops along the way, then stops at the beach on the way back.  The other group starts at the beach then takes the Segways and does the tour while the first group stays at the beach.

They start out by giving you plenty of time to learn how to drive them before you take off.  It was a lot of fun.  Make sure you put on sun screen because you are right out in the hot sun the whole time.

We did have to laugh at one of the guides.  He came over to us and said that he was glad to see "OLD" people doing it.  I wanted to run over him with my walker!  We were in our mid sixties.  Never felt old until he said that.

We are doing this excursion for our Horizon cruise in May!  Nice to hear it was fun and a good experience!  We've done segway tours in St. Maarten and Costa Maya and they were great as well!! 🙂

They will be open.  You need to gather at the appointed time so if you put your laundry in while you are going thru re-boarding, I would put a sign or something so crew know you are still on board.  It may only be a few minutes before  new guests start arriving and those that are will be priority so some may be headed for the laundry also.

We had over an hour before the new guests started checking in, very quiet

OK....that may work!  Thank you very much!!  Worse comes to worse, we can do laundry Thursday night because I am sure Friday will be crazy busy!!  😁

  8. We are taking our first B2B on the Horizon in May and this thread has been very helpful!  Thank you!!    I do have one question, can we do laundry (Saturday morning) before the other guests come on board?  I wasn't sure if we would have access or the laundry rooms will even be open(?).   TIA!  :classic_biggrin:
