  1. @voljeep,

Yes, The EzAir price (if you pick the "changeable/variable" option) is locked in when you pick it to NOT go higher but can be changed to go lower if that happens. You don't have to pay for it until final payment.

I'm a believer - you can book the flight with no money down if doing the refundable type, monitor, and completely change flights if you choose too. I have our flights booked for November and by changing to new flights I found from ATL to FLL, I was able to save $150 and will keep watching. Delta non-stop was cheaper than Southwest and that isn't often.

  2. Hello:

Have about decided to go with old locks next year but dh asked about scenery difference.

If we can only do the partial transit, is the scenery pretty much the same throughout with exception of when we are going through locks in comparison with the new locks?

    Thanks for your help.

  3. Twice a day service, ice bucket filled at each service, robes if they are not in the closet, and a supply of room service cards to order coffee in the morning. Have never felt it necessary to "bribe" them up front. They get an additional amount at the end of the cruise if they have done their jobs.

Ditto on all. I am surprised to see this about tipping in the beginning. I never have in all we have sailed and tip generously at end in addition to the standard tips pre-paid. Don't forget to always tip Room Service when you receive your order too! We usually only do $3.00 on each order when we use it.

  4. Another option, if you are looking for adult ONLY is Secrets Aura https://cozumelcruiseexcursions.com/cozumel/adults-only-all-inclusive-day-pass-cozumel/ its a bit more but it is gorgeous resort and no kids. We love Nachi too but did this once and loved it. Different vibe completely but very relaxing and services were excellent

Do you or anyone else here know what or where I can find how much the taxi is to Secrets and how far away it is from Fantasy Dock? Thanks

  5. Thank you both much for very informative answers.

One more assist please. We have decided on Adventure doing ABC islands. I can get middle hump on Deck 8 on starboard side. I can get middle hump on Deck 7 on port side. I know there is not an "always" on port or starboard answer, but I wonder if I will not like Promenade even one deck closer if people are walking under us frequently so we can be on port side. I know, I know... Just asking and thanks again.

  6. Have looked and looked but can't find. Are all the hump balconies on Adventure of the Seas, Category E2, with steel at the bottom half of the balcony up to the railing or do some have plexi glass so you can see all the way? Does anyone have a good exterior picture of the hump section? Trying to figure out which deck. I like close to the water, but wonder if it is a good shot down with no lifeboats etc. Could be a promenade walk around on Deck 5 underneath and that would not be good. Can anyone please help me with this? Thanks alot.

  7. I just booked delta for January 28 cruise. Southwest wasn't a good option for us with times and layovers. (Denver, Baltimore and Chicago all from Omaha).

I did a dummy booking for 90 days out and did not see any change in fare so I booked. FLL is expensive in late January as are the hotels.

Hoping I didn't shoot myself in the foot booking delta.

Noooooooo. You did it and you are done. You have to choose what is best for you. To me, if Southwest was cheaper, all those layovers not worth it. Just my thoughts. You are done and one step closer so move on to something else - like packing thoughts. Ugh!

P.S. Lived in Grand Island years ago.

  8. One more thing...

I don't know anything about American but I do know Southwest has no change fees if you had to change. You could also pay for one way and points for the other way if you needed to do so. It would save some.

If you do Early Bird Check In on Southwest, be aware that the $15 each leg is non-refundable however on some circumstances Customer Service will refund it. They had to for me previously.

    Two checked bags free too!

I was all set not to like them when they took over my Air Tran, but I love them now. Just wish we could get assigned seats...

  9. Think about getting a credit card and using points for your flight. Southwest has a good one. You get points just for obtaining it to start with. You can fly into FLL and use SAS for your transfer to hotel. Will be doing in January. Like FLL airport better than MIA anyway. I put whatever I can on card like auto and home insurance, tires, etc. and diligently pay it off just as soon as I put it on there rather than paying cash or check to other company. Points accumulate quickly and Wah-Lah! Your flight is paid for. Warning! If you are not good with credit card or don't intend to pay it off right then, DO NOT use this approach. It can get ugly very quickly.
