  1. I am ready! Thank you ladies!

I told Mike this morning, The Sensation is sailing away today for the last time without having had Mr and Mrs Trice on board!

Don't think I'm not watching that ticker of yours!!! 1 DAY!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you and honestly cannot wait until I can say that!

Has anyone heard of or been to Cocoa Beach Spa? I got an email from them on getting me and my bridemaids hair done. Their prices seem very reasonable and I'm hoping to just do something simple with my hair so it shouldn't be too big of a worry. I saw this incredible veil and I'm attempting to make it *wish me LUCK* Etsy was trying to sell something similar for 300 and I just can't fathom paying that much for a veil considering I wasn't planning on wearing one in the first place but this one... AMAZING. The only thing I'm worried about is the wind, but I'll worry about that later. ;) This is EXACTLY what I want it to look like.

Any tips on how to do this? So far I have the tulle and a headpiece.....just don't know where to start.

  2. WOW! Sounds lovely! So weird because we are almost doing exactly what you did!!! We are flying into Orlando, going to Cocoa but we are getting married on the beach the day of our cruise. We are getting married on the beach then getting on the valor and having a reception while on board later in the evening. We made reservations for Brano's yesterday for our groom's dinner! So weird!!! I'm glad it was good though because that was the only place I could find we liked too. So glad everything but the music went smooth. We can't wait!!!

  3. This is a random thought, at a random hour (12:15am), but I am just realizing that I am going to have to FORCE Troy to go shopping for groom/mens attire. We have discussed and agreed on what we want but I refuse to order stuff without first looking at the color, feeling the fabric, etc. Oy-vey....we are talking about the man who (in the 3 years we have been together) has not once been to the mall, bought himself even a new t-shirt, or .....well, he did wear dress clothes this past fall, but only because he was in a friend's wedding. Wish me luck gals!

I'm BEYOND exhausted trying to figure out my groomsmen wear and my groom. We bought turquoise shirts to match our swatch then low and behold, we get the dresses and they are not even close to the swatch.....(i LOVE the color though) but now we are at a stand still because men are men! Urgh. Hahaha my Groom is pickier than me I feel like. I'm just trying to find something that works for everyone. But finding Ivory mens shirts is not easy. (I think thats what we are switching to)

  4. Hello! I'm getting married on the Liberty of the Seas in exactly 80 days. We're marrying while in port and then using the cruise as our "wedding cruise". Has anyone had any, or know anyone who has, experience with the Royal Caribbean wedding coordinators?

I'm letting my fiancé handle most of this because he's been on about 10x as many cruises as I have, but curiosity is getting the best of me - along with anxiousness since we haven't heard from them yet.

I feel like a lot of us are going through Carnival but keep asking! People pop up with advice all the time.

Does anyone else feel bombarded with crafts?! Lol I feel like my own personal Hobby Lobby. I have made so much stuff over the last few days my hands hurt! Hahahaa! Less then 3 months now....holy crap.

  5. Are any of y'all going to play? I read they usually ask the person married the shortest so if its within the cruise you are it. I am hoping to play, I went through old forums and found the questions.

    1. Where and when did you first meet?

    2. On a scale of 1-10, rate your first kiss.

    3. Two part question: Who was your husband dating before you and what did you hate about person (for the wife) and what did you love about her (for the husband)?

    4. You haven't seen ugly until you've seen my wife's ______

    5. What's your husband's most disgusting habit?

    6. Where is your husband more macho? In bed, out of bed, or in his head?

    7. When your wife bends over, what does her butt look like to you?

    8. Your husband steps out of the shower, which of the following describes him? A dump truck, a stretch limo, or a little pink Volkswagen with two flat tires?

    9. If you had a parrot in your bedroom, what would be his first words?

    10. What animal best describes your husband and why?

I hope to be able to play!!! I watched part of it on our last cruise and it looked REALLY fun! :)

  6.

I nearly died from excitement last night I found out that New Kids on the block (my favorite band from ya know...when I was like 10 years old) has a cruise each year! I told Troy that I am booking it and he laughed and said have fun.

You have no idea how much I love NKOTB. I met them once and they were as adorable in person as I thought they would be. ;) but yes I would FOR SURE do a NKOTB cruise!!!

  7. Morning ladies!

I am getting married next month!! So excited. It's not a cruise wedding unfortunately. I'm doing a Florida beach wedding, but I'm going on a cruise the day after. I'll have about twenty five people at the wedding, and 5 of them will be cruising with us.

This has been fun to read. Any general tips for having a destination wedding? What exactly is a welcome letter? And do I need one?

Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

This is EXACTLY what we are doing!

  8. I had my final call today! In 18 days I'll be Heather Trice!

Ahhhhhh! Yay! It's so crazy how a group of people come together on here and we are all very excited for each other. Too bad we can't all take a cruise someday after we are all married to actually meet! I think it would be amazing to be able to swap stories! Haha and if I have another excuse to take a cruise I would for sure take it. :) I'm so beyond excited for these next couple of months to fly by. It was -37 degree windchill here last night and a high of 0 degrees (why the heck do I live here?) So each and everyday I am more then ready to get the heck out of here! Ahhhhhhh!

  9. Light in the... was helpful for me with my I Do sticker, stickers for our water labels and I bought a cute flower headband for my flower girl and it was very cheap looking. The stickers were perfect though so it can be hit or miss but for what you pay its worth it. But order soon, shipping takes a month or more.

Yay! Your day is coming soon mrstriceasnice! I'm glad you have everything done. Enjoy and please come back to tell us everything!

  10. Happy New Year 2015! Yay! Finally...... thank you for the cake pictures I'm starting to think it will look perfect no matter what. Welcome all the new posters I hope you find many helpful things on this forum. I know I have. These ladies are great with tips! I am getting everything finalized and now just working on the saving money part! Almost 3 months to go! Ahhhhhh!

  11. Final fitting, my dress is done! She added a bustle so I had to learn how to do it up and I am now completely ready beyond final packing and getting my hair trimmed and colored and my nails done! YAY! 34 days!

34! That's coming so fast! I can't believe how fast the days go by. It really is true when they say enjoy it because it's over in a flash! Do you feel like everything is well organized for yourself or are you still getting it all together? I'm nervous that these last final months for me I will be a nervous wreck, to top it off we put down our deposit on our at home reception so in the meantime we are planning that too!

I'm so excited to hear everyone inch closer to their dream weddings! To think I started this thread back in April and all the people have put in their thoughts, i can't wait to see it come to life! I wish more people would come back and post pics! Have a Merry Christmas and i will talk to you all soon!

  12.

I havne't asked her but apparently she told him that she doesn't know if she is going anymore either. What a mess for all of us. I've felt stuck in the middle since this whole thing began, since she is one of my best friends, but now it's even worse. And ever since their split she hasn't been very "best friend"ly (i.e.: I only hear from her if I initiate a conversation). I know it's a long ways away and things can change but I feel so stressed about this right now.

Here is my opinion: Family comes first no matter what! She would obviously have to understand that no matter the situation and if she doesn't, she can't be that good of a friend anyway. I put myself in her shoes when I thought about it and I would withdraw automatically knowing that you shouldn't have to choose between her or your FAMILY. It's pretty straight forward in my opinion but then again I know how frustrating bridesmaids can be LOL I had to ask one to not be in my wedding as well due to some unforseen events and I have an even amount of people now too! ;) So it just feels right.

Stacy your cake dilemma made me laugh....Troy hates cake, I L. O. V. E. cake. But not thinking I asked him about what flavor cake he wanted, flavor filling, color frosting, etc. and he was like I don't care. I kinds got upset and though how can he not care?! Then it hit me... I do a little cake decorating on the side and there is a website called Cake Central you might want to check out. You can search for "sheet AND wedding" on the site and then just click on images - there are a ton of pics (689 actually). I found these cute beach ones....maybe a little too extravagant but just ideas.

I LOVE These ideas!!!!!! I think the sand one with the chairs is freaking adorable! I have yet to buy my cake topper (I made one but it will be too small for a sheet cake) but I think it might look nice on any cake, I'll post a picture.

Hope all is well! We are still plugging along just getting all my little stuff, ordered a foot jewellery thing today that I liked, and now just concentrating on getting everything together! Wooftah. 110 Days!!! And if you don't hear from me this week MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

  13. Here are some decent ones I have seen

These don't look too bad! The second one i think is what it comes as or close, you can of course pay more to design it how you want but this is just not something we care too much about so i guess i might just have to jazz it up with our topper and possibly ribbon or flowers of some sort.

  14. AHHH! I feel like I have been MIA for a few weeks. It is that time of year where everyone is VERY busy. I am wishing we would have done a wedding date before the Holidays to save on some stress but it will be nice to get to warmer weather by April! Today marks 4 months exactly that we will be married! :) So excited. So far in the planning process we are kind of at a stand still. Mostly everything is paid for and taken care of, now it's just the finishing details and touches that I think will come closer to the day. We saved some money by switching our reception stuff. We cancelled our "wedding reception" and booked a group reception instead. Everything is really the same except we decided to save some money by giving up the appetizers because we will be having dinner right after the reception. My only problem with it is, we will have to settle for a sheet cake because apparently they don't sell tiered cakes in group sales..... Has anyone seen a nice decoration on a sheet cake? (FH and I don't even like cake so this really is just for a picture or two to make people happy for following tradition) I still would like to make it decent looking though, anyone have any ideas?!

  15. We are getting married at Port Canveral. You can get your marriage license for any County and still get married in another county in Florida.

Awesome! I don't know how I didn't know that! :) We are getting married at Cocoa Beach before we get on the ship too! :)

  16. We just got our paperwork to get our marriage license today! BTW for the Florida Brides, Honestly Brevard County has made this so EASY! I can't imagine paying the extra money to TWE to have them do this. We'll go to the Notary at our bank this weekend or next week early and mail everything back. SO SO easy!

What location are you getting married at? I need to get our info sent out for the application.

  17. I was just going to say that too! I would be happy to buy those bags from you if you have no use for them! :) Sounds like you have everything planned and orderly I LOVE IT! Where did you end up buying the cups from? I've been looking into that and can't seem to find anything I loved. I know its hard to mention websites you use on the forum but it would be good to know where you ordered the starfish gifts too. If you would be willing to share could you email me?! dustinandstacyjohnson @ gmail obviously no spaces ;) I love the idea of just doing the ceremony on Half moon cay without all the drama. We looked into HMC for our ceremony as well but decided to get married before the cruise and just have the reception on the cruise. She's lucky to have a mom who will help her plan everything! :)

  18.

Stacy I love your bags! Even though we have 282 days I feel like I need to get started on that! I've been looking at bags, bags, and more bags - trying to decide which ones I want. I am thinking that I might just buy plain canvas bags and stencil them myself - I do have enough time. Where did you buy your stuff? I am SO not a sale chaser, so I was going to just order the bulk quantities off that super website that offers everything from A to Z (being discrete since they seem to be policing the boards).

    Thank you!

The bags are from Oriental T C and I LOVE THEM! That's where we got out lanyards too. I have just been adding stuff here and there that I find on clearance or sale. It's a process that's for sure! :)

  19. for some reason my posts keep getting deleted by admin and I really don't think I've mentioned anything wrong but whatever! haha so for me we are just plugging along on the wedding plans. We just can't wait for the trip especially now since it has been under 20 degrees for the past week and snow. URGH! Today I started filling our gift bags and I keep finding more goodies to add. I'll attach pictures of the stuff we have so far. I ordered bags with anchors and hibsicus flower lanyards for the cards on the cruise! I also included:

    Lint rollers

    make up wipes

    sunscreen

    toothbrushes

    toothpaste

    antibac wipes

    tide pens

    kleenex

note pad (will add pens later)

    tylenol

I'm also looking for a cheap website to buy some drinking cups for each person as well because I know I had to buy one on my last cruise and it would have been nice to have one.

Other then that we have just been finishing up some last touches on different things and waiting *ahem* patiently (yeah right) Hope all is well with my fellow brides and grooms!
