Cruise compass Day 9 Sea Day

Thank you! We will have a new chance of beef wellington🤭😆 next week🙃 Someone needs to take one for the team😆 and last night it was me😜

Tonight’s dinner was lobster 🦞 night You could tell🤣🤣🤣 this is the fullest mdr I have seen on this cruise😜 🚢 Our waiter also said it😅 Tables that hasn’t eaten in mdr the entire cruise was showing up😅 Well… back to the menu We had salmon for starters and Mr wanted lobster 🦞 and I was very hungry 😜 (for some reason always on lobster 🦞 night) So I ordered lobster and beef wellington. The lobster was nicely served and cooked. Mr had a good time 😋🦞🦞 The chefs had decided that I needed to stop eating🤭😜 The beef wellington on the other hand was not a great deal. I don’t know what the heck happened in the kitchen…. But something went wrong😝 A beef wellington is a Roastbeef in puff pastry. So even the idea of having it in the frying pan is just wrong🫠 The sauce should have tasted good, but it was a soy sauce…. So this is definitely worth the Nr 1 miss of the cruise in food🏆🏆🏆 The green beans and carrots were tasty and not overcooked🙃 that’s something😁 I didn’t want a new one, it was very busy and I wasn’t hungry. So a little dessert and I was ready for bedtime🥹 The supervisor stopped by, since our waitress seemed stressed about the food situation on my plate and he saw I only ate vegetables. He had a look at it and just rolled his eyes and grabbed out his phone to take a picture of it. Something tells me it will be on the team meeting tomorrow morning for chefs🥸 Dessert menu We had ice cream and crème brûlée Then it was game over and bedtime 🥱

Effy has charmes you can collect every day to different times. They give you a locker necklace to put them in. we don’t collect them. But I know several people do.

Tonight’s show is Karen Grainger accompanied by the orchestra. She’s an impressionist. So we had a visit of Cher, Adele, Barbra, Tina….. It was good, not bad. It’s officers evening in grand foyer. It’s a full house😝 really packed😅 Quick one and done🤣 same process as captain’s club party😜 The dancers had a pop up performance 🎭 Latin Fiesta

Today’s canapés had arrived: I was ready for a little nap 💤 after a hard day🤣🤣🤣 So I had a little siesta on the bed. Now it’s time to get ready for evening chic🥳

Health form was dropped off at the reception desk and a warm-up session was up the stairs to deck 14. I was late for my walking session, so it was a bit crowded. But I went well😎 a decent long’ish 1h walking session accomplished💪🏻 Our toilet/deck 10 in our location had a temporary break when I left for my walk 😜🤪 I stopped working at some point after 10-ish. Luckily it was solved when I returned after a good hour. (No one could flush) After returning from the walking, it was 1 o’clock🙃 So mr asked for lunch. We decided for the buffet. It was not crowded and we always sit outside on the terrace😎 No Easter 🐣 decor or anything special for the day. I had some taco and Mr tested multiple things. YES, crew! You see I eat🤣🤣🤣 Our waiter today in Tuscan/captains club asked if I was on a diet to lose weight… since I don’t eat anything else then my cat pellets+smoothie bowl , Oj and coffee😂😂 I’m not dieting for weight loss😝 I just can’t start my day with a heavy breakfast. It’s just too hard for my body and stomach. I will be all “dead” the rest of the day🥴🪫 And my “cat pellets” are extremely rich in beta glutacan and Fiber. So it’s very longstanding energy. So even if it’s not a big portion, I don’t starve in any way🤣🤣🤣 My body works best on a decent portion of food during the day😉 (mr on the other hand can eat as he wants😝) After the lunch date, Mr went back to work. I on the other hand found a chair in Sunset in the shade😎 so I could enjoy a coffee and view😎😎😎

After the meeting I headed back to the stateroom. Mr was working on the balcony while I attended the meeting. He has some things that need to be taken care of. And the balcony temperature was perfect for him now😎🤓 so he will spend a few more hours there today👍🏻 I called the 🐈‍⬛ cats & the Queen 🫅 She was petting them and they seemed happy. She was at our house, visiting the Italian 🇮🇹 mafia😂😂😂🥰 they were eating Italian cakes and drinking espresso ☕️ I filled out the health declaration and I decided it was time for a walk out on the deck. So a good old staircase work out for starting up the body before a walk outside is a brilliant idea😎💪🏻

B2B meeting was in celebrity central 09.00. OMG🥶🥶🥶 why do it has to be a freezer inside🥶🥶🥶🤪 They could definitely turn up the temperature a little bit…. Should have put on my winter jacket and scarf 🧣 Back to the meeting. They stated by a raffle. -1 special dinner for 2 -All access tour for 2. No price for me🙃 Document officer talked thru the process and answered questions from people. — Everyone has to fill out that health form and deliver it. Really? I asked can we use the app? and he answered this was the policy on this ship, in paper. Almost everyone had already filled it out and delivered it in on the meeting🥸 It’s the first time we had a paper for this since type 201x something😝 They only offer lunch in the buffet on turnaround day. Unless you have access via your stateroom to Concierge lunch in MDR or Laminae, suites. They did not welcome b2b to the mdr lunch. I was actually surprised, since this has always been the case on our b2b. Shore excursion was present, told about the b2b tour and deadline for booking. They gave 20% off on the all-access tour on next cruise. No other discounts. Specialty dining was present. They offered 30% off first night in all specialty restaurants on next cruise. No other discounts offered. They told about the ultimate dining package and the lunches on sea days. Paperwork in the envelope: we have not decided yet if we go for a walk or stay onboard on turnaround.

Today’s plan is the b2b meeting at 09.00 Hello? Why so early😜 I was actually sleeping and woke up by my alarm clock 07.45 to make sure I was awake and ready for the meeting😂😂😂 Mr on the other side was super awake😝 Breakfast at captains club today in Tuscan.

CruiseCompass Day 8 Sea Day

Dinner was good. Supervisor Johnathan was “finally” stopping by our table😂😂 He has “sharked” 🦈 around every night but never stopped by our table to ask about service or food😅 just all other tables around us🤣🤣🤣 (believe me he has some tables to oil and it’s not the crew) He was almost afraid to ask…. Not how service or food was😝 He was looking for the b2b guests😜 He had this ????? On his face looking for a Mr Jarle and a Mrs Alexandra from his list. He was not expecting that we would stay on longer🤣🤣🤣 So he was so surprised and 😶 when we confirmed that’s us! We are continuing onward to the next cruise 🚢 He just turned around and left🤣🤣🤣 Well, back to dinner! Today’s menu: We had the garden salad and the seafood orzo Both tasted good. I only have a little thing for the salad… it’s the second time they use frisée salad in meals this cruise. And it’s a hard salad to empty of sand completely🫣 So this is 2/2 of leftovers of sand in the salad. 🥗 Dessert We both had the lava cake😋😋 it’s my week spot in dessert onboard😍 It was delicious and tasty 🙌🏻 After dinner walked off to bed😴😴😴

Captains club senior officers party 🥳 Well, the captain’s club hostess’s called to notify that the theatre tour was moved 1 day forward. But not mentioning by a word that remember it’s the senior officers part tonight…. So either is few elite & beyond, OR people forget about it… I’m leaning against the second part. Because it was not crowded at all🤭 surprisingly empty in the light of this being a FL home port sailing. It was canapés served and drinks. The house band was there and everything was the usual thing🥳🥂🎶 it was option of: maki vegetable, cheese Brie and salmon tartare in cucumber But something tells me Captain Georg is not a big fan of this event and the “show off” factor this is……. Both on the welcome toast 🥂 and yesterday. CD Angela just said welcome and Captain Georg said hello and that’s it 2.minutes later it was all over. Mr said: he’s (Captain Georg) not really making a big thing…. On Edge Captain Matt had a fun event and he was shining and joking on the podium presenting the senior officers and the crew celebrating milestone years and employees of the month. I have to agree with Mr. But to captains defence, how long can he walk alone on public decks🤔🙃 We just walk straight in on this types of events, no pics by captain or chatting for a decade by them (so everyone lines up behind😂😂) Captain has walked on outdoor deck on both sea days earlier this week and both days people have rushed up to him to get a picture with him.

No 💨 I said to Mr when we returned to the city that this is not a good option on windy days! you will be covered in sand from top to toe and no need to visit the spa😅😆 And the snorkelling will be heavy due to waves 🌊

After showering off the sand and salt…. We needed a little snack & coffee. So downstairs to Al Bacio we walked😋 We had some sandwiches and coffee to recharge🔋 After that, we returned upstairs. I wanted to make a sunset video from our balcony and have a little downtime before we kicked off the evening on Captains club senior officers party. IMG_2733.mov Tonight’s show is Elysium. We have seen it several times and have a new chance next week🙃 I made my video from the balcony wall. When we were ready, we went to Sunset to enjoy the view and wait for the captain’s club event.

🚕 A hat and sunglasses are absolutely necessary in the Caribbean! it’s very strong sunlight and you need to protect the eyes and the head from getting sunburned😎👒🧢

You walk thru the fortress, over the pedestrian bridge and just keep right in the city centre. It’s signs for Mambo Beach. You are walking among the colourful streets and it’s a sidewalk all the way. At some point you can walk down on the ocean. (It’s not a detour) You are passing the sports complex and playground for children. it took us around 1h from the ship to Mambo. I didn’t walk fast (I have my anchor ⚓️ behind me🤣🤣❤️) After 2/3 of the trip you have a large grocery store. They have everything… It’s “the” island store🤭 We used the same time home to the ship. So if you are okey fit and enjoy a walk, it’s a great way to seek out the area🙃 its 5,4km each way.

Tickets for Klein Bonaire on Caribe Watersports r/t is 25USD for each person. Boat leaves from a bar 450m from the ship. Its departure every hour 9.15-10.15-11.15 etc. We booked tickets online. We booked for the 10.15 departure. Boat ride is around 25.minutes. Klein Bonaire is a nature reserve. So no infrastructure on the island. You must bring everything you need. It’s a coral 🪸 reef surrounding the island. So bring a snorkel 🤿 It’s crystal clear water and soft white sand. We relaxed, took a dip in the ocean and went for a walk. what happens when you have big differences in waves🤔🤔🤔 just forget about spelling Happy Easter 🤣🤣🤣 At 13.45 we took the boat back to downtown. It was really nice and relaxing 😎 Mr wanted a local 🤭🍺🤣 Surprised? We went to the brewery so he could get a local 🍺 After the beer, we went back onboard. Today’s canapés had arrived: Shore excursion had left a message for b2b guests. they offered the Everglades tour as an option on turnaround. Deadline for booking is 30.march 20.00.

Good morning everyone! We are docking in Bonaire as I’m typing this text. We have no big plans for today. It’s just go by the flow😇 Mr was awake🤔🤔🤔🤭 So that means we can pick anything for breakfast😋🥰 We decided for MDR breakfast. So he can have eggs & I my usual breakfast in peace and not rush around. It was not crowded when we arrived, it was quiet before the rush🤣🤣 When we left it was streaming in the door and rush hour was definitely a fact😅🤭 Our breakfast we discussed our options for today. It was space available on a shore excursion 12.20/12.00 to a beach & sightseeing. Or boat trip for snorkelling 🤿 Or take the ferry over to klein Bonaire for a day trip on the beach 🏖️ We decided that we would take the ferry to Klein Bonair🏖️🏖️🏖️ So tickets are booked online and we are preparing for departure😎🏖️

Day 7 Bonaire Cruise Compass

Dinner was good, no big surprises here🙃 crew friendly and good service. it was surprisingly fully booked by guests tonight. Since we didn’t depart until 22.00. Today’s menu: We had shrimp cocktail, salad, quinoa salad, onion soup and lamb kebab. Dessert: Banana fosters & coconut sorbet😋 After dinner it was bedtime 🥱
