I am so sorry to hear this. He was a terrific entertainer and a hell of a guy. One evening after he closed his show on the Bliss I and a couple of friends had the pleasure of chatting wit him at great length as he had a cocktail and wound down in the District Brew House. Do Celebrity ships (Edge) dock at Ward Cove in Ketchikan or at the original docks in downtown Ketchikan?

We sailed on the Pearl and the Bliss some time ago and was entertained by Jim Badger, one of the best and funniest piano men we’ve ever seen! If anyone remembers him, has he permanently stopped performing on NCL ships or is there a chance he may be back one day? He is marvelous!

We have the possibility of a 10:20 am flight out of SEATAC non-stop to Tucson arriving at 1 pm on a Friday. We are in the Retreat and will have priority disembarkation, TSA pre and will hand-carry our luggage off the ship. Ship scheduled to dock at 6:00 am and we will likely Uber or taxi to SEATAC. Does this sound feasible and doable? Alternative is 3 pm with a stop in Phoenix arriving Tucson 8:00 pm which stinks. Thoughts?

Thanks much. Your info is precisely what I was anticipating. The larger premium cabin with really nothing in the way of extras is what I booked and it is fine. No use for a butler or for that matter, concierge. We’ve bid on a Haven Penthouse but will be satisfied with the SC.

I have booked an SC Penthouse Suite on the Joy for the Feb 13 TA from Southampton to Miami. Various posts and people seem to disagree on what amenities and/or perks come with this suite since it is NOT a part of the Haven? Can any recent occupants of a Penthouse Suite clarify for me what to expect?

Just booked an SC Penthouse Suite on Deck 14 for the Joy TA in Feb. I’m aware it is not in or part of the Haven, but are there any additional perks that come with this category of suite? Like priority embark/debark, or whatever?

Considering a Penthouse Suite on Deck 14. I've not read or seen much on these cabins. Can anyone enlighten me as to pros and cons of these suites? I understand they are not part of Haven but they look pretty nice for the price. Has anyone heard noise in this area being 2 decks down from the buffet, or any other negative things that might be a detriment to reserving one of these suites? Any real pros? TIA

On Beyond 8-18 Oct. Single odds for $10 and double odds on $25 and above. Pardon the pun but crappy odds! Never saw more than one or two players at a time.

Boarding the Beyond in Civitaveccia in Sep. Will the MC bar be open prior to sail away? Trying to plan a good spot to meet up with folks we’ve met on line other than the Sunset Bar which will likely be pretty crowded.

Are Suite pax on the Edge who wish to self disembark in Seattle escorted be a Host to the front of the self disembark queue? We have a fairly early flight and would love to be among the first to disembark and grab a cab.

GVDW- interesting. We are from AZ as well and on the same cruise also in a suite. We’re looking at the same 1030 flight as you. Also have TSA pre so I’m thinking we should be ok assuming our Retreat Host (not Michael’s) can get us off the ship quickly. I think we’ll go for it.

In December on Solstice craps was $10 with 3-4-5 odds and three card was $10. Didn’t play any BJ but I think it was 6/5 at $10 and 3/2 at $25 as stated above.

Georgia_Peaches….I am in exactly the same position as you. I too read the post about that Alaska cruise some months ago and jumped on a MC Sky Suite as you did for around $5k, much, much less than the cruise before or after. Is it too good to be true and will we be asked for more $$ due to an X mistake? If so, I will fight like heck to keep what we have as I suspect you and others in our situation will. We shall see what happens at final payment. See you on board😁

Thanks for the heads up. We’ve been considering going back to Alaska but SS were too expensive. Booked a Magic Carpet SS on the 31 May sailing per this tip and saved a lot! Got it for $5700 w $600 OBC where the week before, exact same booking was $9001. Now that’s what I call a savings!!

Not sure of official policy, but on a recent Edge cruise our travel mates were in the SS next door and our steward opened the partition for us.

Forgive me, but I’ve read most of the threads concerning drink packages but I’m still confused. We will be on Beyond in a few months with the AI Classic drink package. Can someone please cut through all the information overload and tell me the cost to upgrade to the Premium package? And do either of the packages include the Zero Proof drinks?

Just booked a Med cruise for Sep 2023 out of Rome. We have had a few X cruises in Sky Suites but this is our first in the controversial infinity veranda. Unfortunately, when booking, Select Dining was not available so we took the early seating which starts at 6 pm. For any of you who have experienced the early seating, does one have to eat at 6 pm or can we show up later, say 6:30 or 6:45 pm and still be seated for dinner? Also, what would be the earliest time we could catch a flight out of FCO? Thanks.
