  1. From the press release post #1 There isn't an exact date, but he indicated they're aiming for right after the launch of Icon of the Seas in late January, "not quite for Icon's first arrival, but hopefully only a couple of days after."
  2. Did this successfully 2 weeks ago and will be doing again next week Zero bills both restaurants. BOGO we bought one, and got one free, regardless of price paid it’s not buy one and then add a bit then you can have 1/2 off isn’t that right @Jimbo First time ever we had used a D+ BOGO for dining
  3. Makes no sense What you pay pre cruise is the price of entry regardless Or are you talking about applying a BOGO to that PCP price
  4. When I moved to 🇺🇸 in 2002 one of the stipulations in my contract was to keep my 4 weeks PTO (at a bear minimum) ”Work to live” ✅ I would not have accepted the job if it was only 5 days PTO and 10days after 7 years service 🤯 ”Live to work” ❌ European model of 4 weeks PTO and 34hr week makes for a happier workforce IMO Happy days!
  5. Agreed And I am proof your way works 😎 (only for two bookings though) 💎 BOGO PCP for one 👍🏻 Will be nice with UDP to lock in all the lunches and dinners and actually not need any pre cruise tricks to get Izumi Hibachi before it is sold out onboard see all the times and reservations a week or month before boarding and no stress of doing last minute Royal listened and to me this is a big win win and a positive step in the right direction to keep the people spending extra money than needed happy
  6. Hi Val Looks like Oasis/Quantum class and all the ICONS, before they roll out the rest of the fleet I see they mentioned Utopia as being next and Wonder will be the Guinea pig I will keep checking on ours Hopefully as someone is successful we will hear about it on cc or the other place 😉
  7. I hope when this kicks in - we are able to lock in times for UDP already purchased for sailings after Jan 2024. We have a few Finally something positive to come out of the RC hurt locker 👍🏻 Hopefully X Celebrity follow suit as the platform for the SW used is the same
  8. Guess Bayley and his team do read the emails that get sent to them Happy Days!
  9. Might as well join in So we have always pre paid gratuities and we pretty much always do speciality dining that has the 18% gratuity included when we pre purchase PCP So my conscience is clear and we are whole and all who serve our food and attend our digs are duly compensated accordingly FYI specialty typically get a $20 as well for dinner So where does the portion of my $18.50 go to with regards dining staff NOW and where will the extra $2.00 end up Anyone Anyone Bueller (Liberty) Royal we have 13 cruises booked, if we remove all the pre paid gratuities 7 nights x 2 PAX at a thanks for locking us in at $18.50 I think I might cancel all the PCP gratuities and cash me out a tidy little sum of $3367
  10. Thank you 😊 One of my concerns is once we sail Grandeur, it might be a tough call to sail on a ship that will be old enough to be her mother Enjoy your upcoming Explorer cruise
  11. Thank you Always good to hear both sides , I don’t wear rose colored glasses and I am interested to hear the good the bad and the ugly appreciated for your honest opinion 👍🏻
  12. Thank you Looking at the reviews now Appreciated 👍🏻
  13. Thank you 😊 Really appreciate the feedback w.r.t the vibrations. Being a light sleeper, that could have ended up being a big deal Bow or mid-ship it is
  14. I did see - Thank you 😊 Kept seeing spreadsheets attached to some posts and scoured through a few posts Will attempt to navigate the thread to refine our suite search Thank you again
  15. Great info We are looking at deck plans as I type and speedily researching to get the best location and suite Thank you
  16. We are looking at either a Concierge Suite (Deck 7) or Penthouse suite (deck 9 or 10) which is better ?
  17. Thank you This is the feedback we are looking for - We don’t mind small or old, just wanting to make sure before I sell a kidney and book this that she is still sea worthy 😉 Much appreciated
  18. We are looking into this sailing on Navigator for May 2026 doing a 20 night from Bangkok to Doha We really like this itinerary and it checks all the boxes Our concern is the ship (or should we be concerned) In 3 years she will be 27 years old and I am sure showing her age We are going on Grandeur Jan 2025, so from shiny brand new to not so shiny and old. Any thoughts, feedback recent experiences from Navigator or concerns with this old lady Thanks in advance
  19. I’m sure some have had the email, but for those that don’t get the emails helps clarify al the speculation and how it all works going forward for some it is old news, for some it is new
  20. I googled it and the internet doesn’t know why it is spelt like that I’m shocked 😳 I thought the Internet would know who wrote it and when Maybe someone can see if they spell it like that in the APP Thanks for the feedback on ship, daughter is on her in 2 weeks and we get on in Feb 2024. Hopefully Samba is still there for both sailings Side note: Grandeur was looking a little worse for the wear also at 26 years needs some Botox 😜
  21. Unless they are ripping out Samba during current sailings or as posted by someone they were told by the Captain it was being removed Which is obviously not true (but was posted non the less Il take the “it was there on the 23rd” as being much more accurate from someone who ate there recently as being more reliable and of good timing I prefer experience from fellow cruisers who are currently cruising😎 Thats why they say “ ask me any questions” When did you cruise last, asking for a few friends 😉
