This occurred on the Victory in 2014. My 18 year old daughter, sister and I were all sitting on the 2nd level of loungers getting some sun after a day in Grand Turk. There were 3 girls who were incredibly inebriated in the loungers right next to the main pool and they were taking oodles of selfies. We looked on in horror because one of the girl's "twins" was hanging out the side of her bikini top -- the whole thing. I thought her friends would notice as they took picture after picture of her in all her glory but they were too drunk. About a dozen men were lined up along the railing on deck 10 just googling this poor idiot girl. I finally walked up to her and said, "sweetie, you have an issue there" and pointed it out. The girl said thanks and adjusted herself and continued to take more pictures for 10 minutes before finally one of the Carnival Staff helped her get to her room (she was so drunk she couldn't walk on her own). My daughter who is a bit uptight was horrified.

My husband and I were on this cruise as well for our anniversary. We had an amazing time and I cannot wait to read your review to relive it.

No you will put it on your Ship and Sail card and pay for it at the end of the cruise.

I have downloaded movies on my Kindle for my flight so San Juan this weekend. You could always either rent or download some movies or episodes if you are concerned and watch it on your portable device (phone, tablet, etc.). Just a side note, if you have Amazon prime you can download Prime movies and tv shows for free if you have a supported device (which i think must be a Kindle because it doesn't work on my Note 4 phone).

Shade-Ade is delicious. It is a frozen lemonade sort of drink. I will be getting one in 5 days! :D

I doubt it will get Guy's and Blue Iguana. The last ship to get Guy's was the Freedom back in July of 2014. Ships since then have gone through the 2.0 upgrades but did not get Guy's.

 

The Breeze has it because it was built when they were adding them.

I think it has something to do with the contract negotiations but it's just my opinion, nothing more.

 

I hope I'm wrong because I LOVE Guy's burgers!

I thought the Pride got Guys and Blue Iguana in early 2015. Am I remembering wrong?

I went twice on my cruise in March. It was splendid. :-) Loved the lobster bisque and the ribeye.

I'd love to know how early you can board also! We're taking this cruise in January and want to be on ASAP! I'd be very interested in hearing your experience with this when you get back.

Is this Cruise out of San Juan? I was on that Cruise last week. It is an AMAZING Cruise!!!

 

We boarded around 12:30. I also saw the 2:30-8 time frame when i was planning my trip. 2:30 must be a suggestion. We had no issues around 12:30 and it was very easy to get through. There were many people already on board when we got on board, which makes me think people boarded earlier than Noon.

Good afternoon. I am anxiously awaiting my southern Caribbean cruise on November 1st and I noticed something on my boarding pass today. My boarding says that boarding time is 2:30 to 8. Is this really the earliest you can get on the ship?

I love the Cantina. Their breakfast food is amazing and their lunch food is also outstanding. I was hoping for a similar experience when I went on the Splendor and tried their burrito bar. There is no comparison--it was merely ok at best. I am booked for the Magic next year and am really hoping it gets the Blue Iguana (and Guys) during its drydock.

Does anyone have a copy of the Carnival Liberty's American table menus since it moved to San Juan as home port? I have seen American table menus for other itineraries but not this one. Thanks so much!

I have something like this for my Liberty cruise in November. I had purchased FTTF before they switched ships from Valor to Liberty. When it went to Liberty, I got refunded for my valor FTTF and the Liberty FTTF has never shown up as an option but when I (and a couple others on our roll call) emailed they said they would have us on the FTTF list and they would add it to our Sail and Sign cards. I am hoping this is true....

I have had 2 different upgrades. First, I got a call 3 days before the cruise to upgrade to a suite from a balcony for $500. I took that because it was my daughters' 18th birthdays and we had 4 people in the room so I wanted the extra space. I received an email the next time. We had an interior on the lido booked and they offered us a balcony for $150 total to upgrade to the 10th deck. We always book directly on Carnival.com and usually book early saver.

I am really hoping the reports turn out wrong and the Magic gets these venues. We were one of the cruises changed from Breeze Galveston port swap so we switched to the Magic. It won't ruin our cruise but it will be my daughter's first cruise on a Dream class and I would love her to experience these two venues as well.

Weren't the reports wrong about the Pride and it got these venues or was that always known? Thanks!

Let's see, if we're throwing all the rules out, I love video and board games, can I go to the kid's clubs? It shouldn't matter that I'm over the age limits. The rules shouldn't apply to me because I'm young at heart and shorter than most kids.

That's funny! And a very good point.

Also, you wouldn't expect to be able to take your under 18 kid to a comedy club on land so why should the ship be any different?

So far I have booked a cove but we will see if I stick with it and don't upgrade before next May. I know no matter what though I am going to have a great time!

I am so glad I asked this. I forgot about the Lanai on the dream class so I would have been upset to have my water view blocked. I think that means I will go with the cove. Thanks so much everyone!

I am going to book a balcony on the Magic. I am very torn on if I should get a regular balcony (on 6th floor or higher) or a cove. I have always been nervous of being low in the ship (it just feels stifling to me). However, I love the thought of being closer to the water. Can I get some insight into which one you prefer and why. Thanks so much in advance.

I am in the exact same situation. I am assuming we can choose another itinerary and ship entirely and switch over our deposit without the normal early saver penalty when this happens. Is that correct?

If this assumption is true, it doesn't look as if they have released the new Breeze itineraries yet so how long can we switch without the penalty?
