Yes Valor passengers are debarking. Cant see the other 2 ships to see if any of theirs are.....
I am on the Freedom right now. We are at the cargo dock. We have to wait for the Valor to be done and then we are supposed to switch berths with them so we can disembark. It's looking pretty clear so hopefully both ships will be able to make it back out today.

First, your feelings are real and they valid. It is okay to NOT be looking forward to a cruise. It is okay to be stressed and feel like the upcoming cruise is just one more thing you "have to do." Lastly it's okay to not have a good time. You don't owe it to anyone to "have a good time". Don't force yourself to feel something that isn't genuine. Don't feel guilty for the feelings you are having. If this isn't the "perfect" get away from your troubles that everyone thinks it will be. It really is Okay. You need to care for yourself. Part of self care is accepting the feelings you are having as being real and legitimate. Feel what you need to feel.
Next. You have said you have PTSD. This can be debilitating, it can creep up on you and run havoc in your life. This sounds like a very new condition you are learning about and experiencing. Please before you leave have a session with a councillor. They can give you some coping strategies. Make sure they know you are travelling and build a plan for yourself. If you have a panic attack, having a plan or strategy in place to deal with it will be very helpful.
You have a few people in hospital and I'm certain you are going to want to keep in touch with your family back home. Make a quick plan with your extended family. Will you call them to touch base? Or should they call you? How and when will you keep in touch. If nothing is life threatening maybe you don't need this plan, but it doesn't hurt to have a discussion, so you won't be worrying at the back of your mind while you are away.
Lastly, don't over schedule. A few others have suggested the same thing. You are exhausted. If all you do for a week is sleep and eat, than do that. Sit by the pool and stare at the water, do nothing and let yourself heal. I say heal because mental exhaustion can be physically exhausting too. Book excursions if something interests you, but don't force yourself. Take it moment to moment. If you are at the sail away party and the noise is too loud don't force yourself to stay. Just go. If you need to take a quiet walk on deck go do it, live in the moment.
I don't know if any of this advice will help. I do know that for myself and my PTSD the first step to helping myself was accepting that my old rules didn't work, and sometimes I need to live my life differently and that for me was healthy.
Enjoy this cruise as best you can, and if you can't that's okay too. No guilt.
This has to be the best response to any post I have read in a long time, and even though it was intended for the OP I just want to say Thank You!! Also, a great big THANK YOU to the OP for actually bringing this up. I am feeling the same-- I have a ton of stress in my life right now and doing a Disney trip and quick cruise in a week and am just feeling like it's another huge stress that isn't helping at all. I'm so glad that I'm not alone in those feelings, and that it's okay. I'm also grateful for all of the other people that have responded to this thread-- I'm feeling way better about it all. Thank you all for the reminder of just how much fun and relaxation is coming my way!! To the OP, I hope your situation improves and you find some Happy on your cruise as well. Hang in there!!!

They days of the DMV mailing you the cards are long gone in many states. FL, for example, prints it for you on the spot.
I wish this was the way in Idaho! We went backwards-- they used to print on the spot but now mail them. :(

I checked and it's about $26-30 for uber from LB to LAX. There's plenty that will be hanging around post cruise.

I have my mobility scooter decorated as a woody wagon as part of my Halloween costume for our cruise on Elation. It includes a 3' inflatable mini surfboard which I have no intention of taking it to any pools or beach, but I am concerned if it might be confiscated during check-in. Is this a strong possibility?
Floatation Devices: For the comfort of all our guests, rafts, tubes and floatation devices other than those used as life preservers (water wings) cannot be used in the swimming pools on board. ( From Carnivals FAQ)
Just have to say what a cool costume idea!! Can you please post pics when you get back? Sounds awesome!

As long as it is just you, there should not be any issues. The name changes they are talking about is changing guests.
Exactly as vwrestler stated-- you might want to ask them for a "name correction" when you talk to them. Might sound stupid but I work for an airline and for us a correction is handled very differently than a name change-- change usually means a different person. I do name corrections all the time for people without charge.

What a great idea!! I travel often with my kids (hubby would rather stay home) so I find myself dining alone for lunch often. More than once I have come back to a completely cleaned off table.

HI Mistyinca :)
My cool item to bring along when sailing is probably considered a little outside
of the box.
We bring a cruise journal.
After our very 1st voyage almost 33 years ago, my wife & I wrote down everything
we experienced when we got home. From our 2nd voyage on, until the present,
we have kept cruise journals.
Prior to going to sleep each evening we discuss the days events, people we met, etc.. etc..and
log them down in the journal.
We have been doing this for over three decades now and have many journals.
The strolls down memory lane are wonderful. In some ways more entertaining
than the photo's or video we have collected over the years.
Even picking out/purchasing the journal prior to the cruise has become
a fun task in itself.
To us, it is another way, an interesting way, to save and also relive the
voyage...
Have a terrific day!
:)
I started doing trip journals on our first cruise. I honestly hadn't thought of it until I found a journal my husband's grandmother had written on her QE2 cruise. It was so fun to read!!!

Thank you THANK YOU thank you for doing this and sharing it with us!!! I've been on the sister ship but before the 2.0 upgrades. Looking forward to our turn on the Imagination.

This has got to be my favorite post of the whole week-- possibly the month!!! Congratulations on the new room, and thanks for the laughs!!!!

Yes, I know this is an old thread, but it's the most recent one I can find when searching. Just wondering what current experiences with this are like? I have submitted the form but haven't heard back yet. Has only been a week, but was thinking of calling on Monday. Final payment is due Oct 4 so wanted this credited first.....

They put a limit of 5 per day a while ago so that they would be available for longer to more people. I hope they fixed that glitch.
If I had known there was a limit I would have just bought that many :o . I would just get the $500 one but live in the country and the new UPS driver seems lost a good part of the time. (I don't blame him-- I've been here over 20 years and still don't know some of the roads by name-- and some aren't marked!) Until he gets his route down I prefer to have them mailed to my PO box instead. I am under the impression that they only mail the $100 ones and send the larger ones UPS-- is that correct? I've only ever bought the smaller amount ones :D .... Thanks!!

There seemed to be a glitch in their system today. I called Verizon Rewards, because I needed to purchase enough cards to pay off my cruise as well as my Mom and Dad and my sister's. I'm the cruise Guru of the family.
I purchased 5 cards and cashed out, then another 5 cards and cashed out. When I went to get the last 3, I received an error message that stated "You reached the limit of 5".
But I had purchased 10 already, so I called and was told the system should not have aloud any purchase over 5. They are honoring my purchase. I asked if it was a daily limit and she confirmed it was. I will try again tomorrow and hopefully they are still available.
Good to know! I bought 4 then figured how much I needed to pay the next cruise then went back in and bought 3 more. Now I'm getting the limit five msg. I just need one more to pay it all off (math before coffee should not be done in my house- lol) so will try tomorrow.
-
I snagged some too. Now I reached the limit. Have to wait until tomorrow. I hope they are still available.

There's a limit? I bought seven this morning on my way out the door and was thinking of snagging a few more tonight.

I got 12p for the Imagination in Dec, so the earlier poster that said it depends on the ship seems to be spot on with their answer.
-
I checked the price of our December cruise on the Imagination this morning and it was still the same, but just checked it again and it had gone down from this morning so submitted a form for that, too. Yay!!!!

Can someone please share a link to this sale and/or fareviewer that everyone uses. I'm new to this and can't find it. Thanks

Fare viewer
https://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer#
I find it easier to just go in and do a mock booking instead of using the fare viewer, but several others really like using it :) .

Where do you get this form?

I did the same thing last night. I wasn't sure if I would get it because the price was the same-- only difference was OBC. I was thrilled to see an approval five minutes later. Woooo hooooo!!!!
-
That's awesome!! Congratulations on your upgrade!
-
The only difference I see is that the Fall into Savings rate is only for new bookings. That won't matter to you but it may matter to folks who are already booked and who want to use it for a price drop rebate.
Nice catch Riffatsea!! I didn't even think about that.
-
Thank you Ray98. i appreciate it!! Bev- this question was actually for Someone else that had asked me to check out the rules for them. Thank you, though, because I'm amazed at how many co-workers don't know interline rates exist, so I appreciate you bringing it up!!!

Looking at the Freedom Jan 7, '17 sailing, balcony cabin rates. What is the difference in rules between the Fun Select rate and the Fall into Savings rate? I can't see much difference in the fine print other than the book by restriction on the Fall rate. What am I missing? I actually work for an airline and can decipher those fare rules with the best of them but this has me stumped  . Maybe I'm looking for a difference that isn't there? Thanks!! :) :D :p

I'm on the Splendor in September and having this issue-- is anyone else? Thx!
