I will try to do a review when I get back. I have always cruised with Princess in the past ( and loved it) but cannot compare unless we experience it so that is the reason we are going on the Epic.
Hi Arlene :) I am looking forward to any kind of review from you-- I just booked that cabin for our November cruise. It definitely looked like it had a great layout. I went by SDMike's recommendations of which cabins to avoid, as well.

I think I would be the same way :). I am actually looking at booking ES for my next cruise (if it's far enough out) just so I can watch the fare! I am fascinated by the fluctuation of fares and would love to see the logic-- or lack thereof -- behind it!

I haven't decorated my door in the past, but definitely have nothing against it :). In the past I have had people tell me they got their door decorations free at Vistaprint. I think they were actually large magnets. Might want to check that out, and have fun!!! :D

?? Once ES always ES. When you match a price, you are still ES. Otherwise people would price match to a rate that has a refundable deposit if it were as simple as price matching to get out of ES.
THANKS Firefly :). I am eligible for interline but was thinking about doing exactly as the above poster stated-- book ES and then have it matched to Interline, but wasn't sure if they would change the rate or just match it. I would be one of those people checking it daily (or more) :D watching for price drops!

I don't book Early Saver to get price drops, I book it to get the best available rate. If the price goes down, great if not then I'm still good.
BTW, if it was me I would have booked ES then immediately applied for a reduction to the interline rate.
If you do this are you eligible for any other price drops after that?

I pick up a coffee mug-- that way every morning when I am drinking my coffee I can be reminded of the trip and enjoy all the memories :). I have some beautiful ones from local artists. I also pick up some piece of art or something for our house-- no matter how small. I do this for both land and sea vacations-- and if the coffee mug breaks, it just means I have to go back for another one :D .

Does anyone know how much of an advance notice she needs? We are cruising out of LA. Thanks!! -Suzanne
For those curious about current passport turnaround times...

We applied for my daughters (new) passport and sent my renewal request the same day. Did not expedite in any way-- she had hers in the mail thirteen days later and mine was only a day behind. I was surprised it was so fast! Happy surprise!!
