Carole, trust me when I say that there are many many others on CC who read your posts with joy and truly appreciated that you took the time, effort and used all of your internet minutes on sharing your thoughts and observations about the RP here with us. Please don't let the comments made by one affect you so.

I haven't seen the updated menus before, they sound wonderful, thanks for taking the time to share them with us all.:)

Ruby makes more sense than Medallion.

Hey Dave, you really do plan ahead. My partner doesn't like to over plan what to do on the ship until we're on it and even then we just wing it. However, I like your list, that way you don't anything.
-
You're welcome! And it's all included at no additional charge (except the Sangria and other drinks! ;)). I can see me eating here many times during the two weeks I am on her!!!
Also, just in case anyone missed it from the other threads, here are menus from the Bellini bar, and the surcharge venues of Fondue's, The Crab Shack, and the Ocean Terrace Seafood Bar. Already have them listed on my '2-week Dining Guide'. :D

.
Thanks for the reminder Dave, that Ocean Terrace menu looks great.

They've closed Dave's thread now…...

I'd love to do the wine maker's dinner too, it is a great idea.

Thanks Benny!! If you are ever this way I will have to take you to Benny Rappa's!! My favorite Italian restaurant in the area!!
That would be so nice, I've never been to Myrtle Beach and would so love to see it one day, and I LOVE Italian food!:)

Every time I see the upper decks in photos at night, I can't believe what a difference it is compared to the other Princess ships. The upper decks will finally be a destination at night! I can't wait to experience the Chill Lounge, it will be very sweet indeed.
-
Really nice review, thanks for taking the time to write that up. :)
-
But will it cost $50/pp to sit there in the evening, also?
The Chill Lounge should be free and I suspect the Cabanas won't have a charge during the Chill Lounge hours either. The Cabana charges in the Retreat Pool area have only been announced for morning and afternoons, not evenings.

Hello,
Please find attached some photos of the mini suite I stayed in on one of the 2 night preview cruises.
Given it's location it is a very different layout to the midship mini suite, but we loved the set up & the balcony, albeit due to the wind we were unable to use it!!

Hope this helps someone.
You have just made a whole bunch of people happy, they have been asking for photos of this mini suite for ages.:)

Another one for the list:
109. Hanging out in the evening at the Retreat turned “Chill Lounge” enjoying the night with drinks and music
This was a great idea on Princess' part, it will feel very Miami.
-
Thanks for keeping that list that just keeps growing updated Gracie!:D
-
Thanks for the photos of the Sanctuary and the Spa.
-
Thanks for your review of the Royal.:)

THANKS Benny! I'm sure I'll gain some of it back while on Royal Princess. I'll need to make regular use of the Fitness Center too just to keep ahead of the game. ;) As for the suit, I may look into renting a tuxedo for the first week only, then use the alternative dining venues on the second week.
That's smart to just rent the tux.
I'm also looking forward to seeing new acts in the new Piazza. :)

I would take any category of balcony at this point. Even one under SeaWalk! :D
Same here, it wouldn't bother me at all.

Wow, Godwin has done well, when we first met him, I think it was on the Coral, he was an Assistant Head Waiter. Good for him, he's great guy.

Here's a nice article with photos of the various staterooms this reviewer visited on the Royal Princess. There's a video as well.

can you tell me what cabin this is? What category? Thanks for posting.
Wonder why all the chairs/bleacher on the dock? From what I have read, there was not a celebration for maiden voyage. Someone posted they did not receive any souvenir of the actual maiden - just for the season (and for purchase too) Bottom line drives everything!!!
That would be a standard balcony cabin.
The bleachers were set up of the Christening of the ship by the Duchess Kate.

I'll probably pick up a couple of different key chains, shot glasses, t-shirts, post cards, and other assorted Royal Princess souvenirs as well. :D
And the one picture I'll definitely buy is the Embarkation photo of me with the 'Welcome Aboard Royal Princess' backdrop. And maybe one of the pier pictures in Saint Martin with Royal Princess in the background. And one of me in a suit now that I've lost almost 40 pounds. Although the suit may not fit me anymore! ;)
Dave, I think you'll need to purchase a new suit, 40 lbs, wow, good for you!!!:D
