Hi internet speed for us was fine- we purchased the extra on top of our minutes- the joy was its unli ited you dont have to keep logging off! I managed to do all my business things and keep in touch fine.

We had a fabulous month and look forward to 2017 and2018! Thanks to all the lovely people we met:)

Thanks for all of the great information. Sounds like Vinod will be onboard Eclipse - and I look forward to your confirmation. Have a wonderful time on Royal Princess. We've sailed on her twice in recent months, and she's a lovely ship. I think Celebrity beats Princess in many ways, but I'm sure you will enjoy the ship & cruise very much. I hope the Internet is better than what we experienced in November - it was awful. Hope you find a much improved experience !

Purchased unlimited w ifi -after we used our free minutes and got a deal.

Didnt bring any of the Celebrity todays but know Blu open from 6.30 or7.00am depending on shore or at sea day- again in the evening 5.30 until 9.30

Luminae definetly open at 6.00pm

The Ocean view was open all day from about 7until late

And us also Sue - hopefully we will meet again. Wexwere in Tuscan Grill and then had to sit on a coach for a whille- it wasnt a big deal.

To everyone look after Eclipse have lots of fun and just ho with the flow. Did excursions with Sue and other members of board and it was soo good.

The choir experience amazing say hi to Michaell and Rachel their shows all great. Loved topper rocked to Rock city and chandelier was amazing- atrim interfaces amazing- enjoy so envious

Formal nights not formal some Djs very few in Blu very smart casual ish. Ladies dress up men anything from shirts wnd trousers only to DJs- no one feels uncomfortable would not bring a tux again!

Hadnt realised Laitude left ship! Did hear the newband last night but only in passing. Irie tour was great we did the 3 hour city tour with beach but they were happy to leave us at the beach for longer. Very good guide and good tour. He offered us a tour of the west side today for 60 dollars but wexwill do that next ime. Good efficient company:)

Is the party/house band still "Latitude" from New Zealand. I understand their contract is up sometime this month, so I was wondering if the new house/party band is now on board. Or is Latitude still there?

Dining packages were offered but I didnt seeanything at that price will look next week when the new cruise starts. Entertainment. A 2 productions shows specially done for Celebrity - brilliant Topper and Chandelier - one old R ock city which I havent seen yet. One singer male - I fell asleep but he had a great voice just not me. Jane Curry singer great voice and one other guest female singer amazing. An illusionist - didnt see not me. archipelago group tomorrow . Comedian tonight- again not me.

A vilolist and guitarist in Ensemble. The ships band - fairly average. A guitarist and snger on Sunset bar good.

Music to dance to in Atrium.

Hi everything is great. Entertainment fantastic - we eat in blu and that is great - but have had lunch in the buffet which has masses of choice. Entertainment director seems nice.

Aruba went to eagle beach easy taxi ride and nice.

Curacao first day took our own taxi to mambo beach easy- beach ok.

Second day took a ships tour - city and beach escape- city bit non existent and went to same beach.

Barbados - silver moon lovely.

Antigua taxi to Turners beach a bit crowded - I think Valley church beach better. Traffic really bad coming back to ship so allow a good hour.

Tomorrow cockleshell beach.

Damien is just great- wondeful atmosphere onboard

Hi e dont have coffee - but had breakfast yesterday in room with china cups! Have seen people wandering aroundxwith paper cups! We had a fabulous day yesterday in Barbados on Silver Moon, lovely dinner in blu and a picnic on the lawn last night before we left Barbadosar midnight with latitude the shiips group. The two ships productionsxwe have seen have been truly amazing.

Sorry I cant help with the coffee. Dining in Qsine tonight. Still sad about Terry wogan for all the brits out there!

Celebrity Cruises Testing New Internet Initiative on Celebrity Reflection

 

Following sister brands Royal Caribbean International and Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises is testing a new high-speed Internet initiative in a pilot program onboard Celebrity Reflection. Details are few at this time, but according to a thread on the Cruise Critic boards, the program is tentatively titled Xcellerate.

Royal Caribbean announced the arrival of Voom, its high-speed Internet last year. Azamara Club Cruises is also getting faster Wi-Fi on its ships as they go into dry dock this year. All three cruise lines are part of the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. brand.

Hi the internet is very quick for somethings I created a link for this and it takes me right in but my emails take forever to down load. Ihave used half of my minutes so far! Aruba was great got a taxi easily and asked the taxi driver to take us ro a quiet beach - she showed us one and then for a small fee took us to eagle beach which was busier so went back to original. Man wanted $15 each person for a chair and sunshade. We tried to haggle and then he said we could have a chair for 6 if we used the public thatched shades - they were fine so that was good. Sea great beach quiet we stayed 4 hours which was plenty first day.

Taxi didnt come back but mo hassle plenty passing and we got back to ship safely. $13 to this beach for the taxi.

Today curacao. No rush. Obviously as overnighter-Mary the concierge chester is the best person to ask re nightlife.

Re indian food there is a section I think in the buffet but as we dont eat to spicy foods I am not sure.

Karen I will tell Vinod tonight - he isxso lovely and mad a tremendous fuss of us last night.

Loking forward to meeting all - where is sailaway mast or thebar at the back. For ours because there were so many we met at the back.

Tremendous nice crowd on board.

Karen - vinod is there - I asked for him and he came and introduced himself and asked who was asking and when you were coming- I didnt know your partners name or your surnames so could only say Karen. Blu is very very busy this year we have had to delay our eatingvtime to get in- after 8 is fine so we go to the show early and have a nice leisurely dinner! Al the waiters are so nice and the food amazing. We didnt eat there last time as we had friends in MDR but wouldnt go to MDR now after eating in Blu - off to the beach more later:)

Onboard successfully Sunday

Access to room about 2 as embarkation took some time due the Police and Fire enforcing regs as to how many people could be in hall- so get here early- we couldnt because of Marathon.

V great.

We eat in Blu - meals fantastic.

Evening chic- 2 nd and next to last night. Havent managed to find out about valentines.

Not many tux/ djs. Most in MDR - I saw several penquins around martini bar but I expect that was because it was cold! No seriously I think its about. 30/70 and in blu much less. Ladies still dress very nicely and nice evening dresses not out of the way. But if youare in a large group like Mary and all the men are in DJs thats good.

Havent had any info re evenings in Curacao but I understand there are several nice bars and restaurants- I think Chester the concierge will give good info.

Been s busy not stopped - choir, trivia ,music trivia, receptions its all go- slot pull grat we lost 15 dollars each and got 1 dollar back each which we reinvested - zilch!

Very very very windy but warm on deck.

Entertainment last night the celebrity produced show Topper amazing and as good as any west end show I have seen!

Re vega s they are so helpful in Blu Iam sure if you have a list you will not have any problem.

The vibe on the ship is great Damien a greT CD - the choir 'master' is a really grea singer in the production team and he wants us to do a matinee in the theatre- we will see!

Mary I will be waving- however 40 flights cancelled out of Miami today so those poor people getting off are in for a shock- as long as they dont expect to stay in our cabin(lol) they dont expect the flights to be back to normal before Wednesday.

Hi all its 6.13 and I am excited - transport coming at 11.30 as Miami Marathon day today. Dont care about changes Karen after a grotty winter just want to be onboard. Will post re formal evenings. will post re Curacao Mary later. :)
