  1. Ido. Hope that the questions which remained in moderation arepassed on- there were somever relevent points about the overnights and lossof ports.- if they are not passed on it makes the whole live chat thing a publicity stunt. My husband and I coming from UK will be spending a considerable amount with Celebrity over the next two years and I feel most aggrived that my questions were NOT addressed

  2. Totally agree with last question re what steps are you taking to regain loyalty. I cannot believe that Celebrity did not take into account that people had booked these cruises based on Itinerary. In my case 2 btb cruises booked on itinerary for 2016 and 2017 in an aqua class cabin. I feel some compenation is necessary - this could be including the premium drinks package where applicable for those already booked on 123 Go. I was so disappointed with Celebrity and will be looking at other lines in 2018 - I have never cruised with anything else other than Celebrity or Royal Caribbean but in view of your cavalier action will now be doing so- why do you want over nights when you have such a lovely ship- possibly in Europe but NOT caribbean

  3. Ok perhaps the british point of view is different to the US but it is certainly confusing to me why you book a cruise which is basically all inclusive and costs quite a bit of money and then go out and eat? And drink? If you want to do that why not book a hotel on the islands- just slightly confused - perhaps cruising is cheaper from the US than the UK and perhaps y'all have more money!

Anyway we all agree to differ its a done deal and we have to take the cruises we have booked or lose money. But will certainly look at other lines for 2018.

  4. Considering the difficulty and planning required in making such an itinerary change and the extensive "you asked we answered" advertising campaign, the obvious answer is that they called some people for the sole reason of being able to support their ad campaign slogan. It is easy to design questions and surveys to support a conclusion in advance, and to design statistics that way as well. Besides 85% of all people know that 73% of all statistics are made up on the spot!

As for all the complaints here: Those that don't like the idea would do well to complain on Celebrity's social media as well.

One of the things we look forward to while cruising is the sail-away from port and the evening activities at sea. We also love walks on deck, or sitting on our balcony at night, just staring out to sea. This just wouldn't be the same while docked at a port. We also love having coffee on the balcony in the morning while the ship pulls into port.

I also agree with others that the Caribbean offers little appeal in terms of overnight activity compared to some European cities where we've overnighted in the past such as Venice. I'd much rather be on the ship enjoying the food and entertainment we've paid for and this is just more fun while cruising and not while tied up at the dock.

    So agree

  5. I have sent everyone of these very constructive comments to the office of the CEO in the hope someone may persuade them to change their minds re caribbean. I wouldnt cancel but do feel sad that so many people are. Its all very well for one caustic cruise critic person to say put up or shut upbut actually lots of peoplebooked their cruises for specific itineraries and have every right to comment

  6. If youare unhappy please please bombard Dondra ritzthaler on fb, please. Please mail cpncerns@celebrity.com, please post on fb and twitter. Unfortunatelyvwe cannot contact the new ceo but if Celebrity keep getting negative posts they might take notice- so ill thought out- europe is brilliant for overnights bur NOT the caribbean- I for one would not feel safe orcwish to pay for an excursion to a seedy bar when I can have luxury onboard!

  7. Many thanks for advice - yes it was the promotion I was referring to - we have gone for the onboard credit- but the drinks package would seem to be better vale - if you drink!

We will have to work out how much we drink dont want to be tempted to be alcoholics!

    :)
