At least it's a Sunday so hopefully that should mean lighter traffic.

Saturday and Sunday are the worst days for travel - craziness.  We live in VA, usually 2 1/2 hours to Baltimore cruise port, BUT the Sunday in April last year was 4 1/2 hours.  BUT the NICE bridge over the Potomac was 2 lanes - now it is 4 lanes.  That was at least an hour hold up.

    Take advice from @Noledad77

LIfe is short, take the cruise.

(And I just checked on this cruise since it is so much closer to us, and am on the WAIT list.  Just guess how much the CARNIVAL Confirmation cost is for a Balcony?  approximately $16,000 - but that just numbers.....................

I hope you all can go and enjoy, no matter how you have to get there -

It’s a hydro therapy pool and it’s very warm and bubbly. There are metal rollers you can lie on and just relax or there are jets of water you can stand under and they are great for tense shoulders. I have arthritis and I book the thermal suite on every cruise it really is wonderful.  When you are done in the pool you can use the heated ceramic loungers in the relaxation room, also very calming. There are showers to use also when you finish. To me it is worth every penny.  Linda

    I AGREE COMPLETELY!  🛳😎😍

Taxi is easiest, water taxi costs the same but takes longer. What do you plan on doing? Without a day pass you can only go into the casino of walk around marina village, you can’t walk around the resort.

And I checked price for day pass for adult $190

If this has been addressed, I apologize!

We are on the Nieuw Statendam for the December 10-17 cruise.  Our sweet friend lost her husband in March - and they traveled a lot with us.  I was hoping we could get her a cabin, NOT at the 2 person cost for this cruise.  I checked and HAL shows this cruise sold out.

Who would be the best to contact?  A TA or the HAL directly?  I don't think the odds are in our favor, but you never know.  She is a 2-Star Mariner.  Thanks.

Crew was amazing, ship was great, lido food was fair-good. Lines were very long, as the cruise was fully booked and they are short staffed.  It was my 73rd birthday cruise, and I was very happy to be on board. Thanks so much, enjoy your sailing.

@sassy~one  I have not been on CC for a while (obviously) and just read your response.  I appreciate it very much.  I think I will cancel our reservations for the spa and check it out when we get on board.  Then I'll make that decision.  Happy birthday, a bit late - and by the way  I turned 72 in May.  Hard to believe I am this age!  Know what I mean?  🙄

    Enjoy your next cruise!

You might consider booking a spa room next time - I always so when on a ship with a nice spa area and then it's included and close by,

I have not looked at Carnival for a spa cabin, I know the ones on another line we enjoyt, are more expensive, and we did not think it worth it.  I'll have to check next time!  Thanks @arpie05

  7. Good Morning!  Well, due to back issues, we had to cancel our cruise for April 1-7….😢

DH decided he did not want to try and rebook, so with the Platinum insurance, we will get 90% back.  Now I caution you all on this:

if you have used gift cards to purchase anything (except cruise payments), go in and cancel ALL items you have purchased BEFORE you cancel the cruise.  If you do, you will get back full value of gift card as another gift card.  If you DO NOT cancel the gift card purchases before cancelling the cruise, you will only get back the percentage allowed on your insurance.(at least that is what the HA Agent said)

We have platinum insurance, 90% of cruise cost we get back; and 90% of gift cards……..   Bummer

I hope this helps in the future….

What you receive in email is notification of your purchase. Then you click on a link that takes you to the actual "card".  On that page you can click to print them to a pdf. I also use the "snip" feature in Windows to outline the card which copies it as an image which I then paste into a Word document. I resize them so I can fit several on a page.

Since I'm paranoid I copy the file to a flash drive as well as my laptop, print the Word document, and keep both the printed document and the flash drive in the safe. There is no way I want to risk a computer crash risking thousands of dollars worth of gift cards.

Thanks - paranoid?  I understand completely.

I just got my email - but my card info was directly on the email, I didn't have to click to go to it.  Technology!

Sounds good to me!  I know the "coloring for adults" is looked down upon with disdain by many here, but it is an activity my artistic 19 year-old really looks forward to.  Plus, it's usually full so she's learned to line up well in advance.  Apparently there is a market out there for this kind of thing!

My 77 year-old sister enjoys CFA as well - she said it relaxes her.
