I'm a Charles Barkley fan myself. Shaq who?

We have had a forward lido balcony on sister Conquest class ships, and it is an ideal location. You will not hear pool noise. There are sliding doors and some atrium space in between.

This may go without saying, but it never hurts to repeat. Put your phone into airplane mode, then enter the settings and turn the wifi capability back on. Connect to Carnival wifi. Open the HUB app. Enter the information requested on the app for the internet access. You are good to go.
It is good to remind everyone... cell phone service must be off when you leave your home port, or you could be charged a boatload. The exception is if you are in a USA port like St. Thomas or San Juan, but you still need to make sure you don't accidentally connect to the ship's cell tower. You can confiscate the kid's SIM cards before the cruise if they will get to keep their phone.

I had to wait 8 months once, it was hell
Ha! I have been waiting for six plus years. We got this crazy idea that it would be a better idea to have a house than go on a cruise. But after many years of being house poor, we're going back to the sea this year. I have missed it.

A great beach day! Bring some bread or crackers to feed the fish as you wade about. Sand is like baby powder. Lots of lush foliage and lizards.

I enjoy watching the activity during the time we leave port. Then I like to kick back on an upper deck in a lounger, feeling those strong sea breezes letting me know it is finally time to relax.
The parties are really just a reason to sell and consume drinks, and they will be happening all cruise long.

Flu season is in full swing. Healthy people end up in the hospital with this stuff.

Everything seems like an extreme example five to ten years before it becomes reality.
The buffet serves dinner.
I think those who are presuming that such examples are extreme and can never happen are simply setting themselves up for superlative disappointment when they actually do become reality.
It could happen, but if so, I think it would be an option. For example: you could book a cabin for a 7 day cruise for $799 per person including meals in the MDR and other "free" venues. You may have the option of a fare of $699 per person exclusive of free meals meaning buffet, pizza, and deli are your only free choices. You could still dine in a formerly free venue for $25 pp per visit.
Would that interest me? Nope. But it would attract buffet lovers and the budget conscious cruiser.

Fruit, meats, cheese are not allowed off. A box of cereal for example would be ok.

But you can apply this exact same concept to late night room service.
No, not really. Everyone has dinner. Not everyone wants room service at 2 am.

If you don't have anything nice to say please do not comment on my post...thanks.
Just trying to be funny, Not working .
For your answer just Google "carnival 2.0 ships" for the complete lengthy list.

I absolutely agree. Charge $770 and include dining room. Or charge $700 and only include buffet but charge $10 each time you use dining room. Those that don’t like the dining room can save with the 2nd option. Doesn’t cost any more for those that use the dining room every night. Opens cruising up to more people. This is kind of an extreme example.
A bit too extreme, I think. The dining room service included is part of the essence of cruising. A third rail issue if ever there was one.

Just like Fascination! Looking forward to a nice artery clogging beef burger... Yumm

The ones that do not have the 3.0 upgrades yet.

... it would be absolutely stupid to remove food inclusions.
I’m happy paying for things like coffee, drinks and internet but other things should remain included.
Totally agree. If a cruise stopped offering buffet and dining room service included in the base fare, it would be a deal killer for me.

With 100 shares, you get onboard credit. (For each and every cruise.)

That doc says benefit is good only for sailings through end of July. I hope they renew it for 2018.

We are headed to Dominica on Fascination in August. I have been twice before.
Last time I did a hike to the Boiling Lake with two friends and a private guide. We barely had enough time to do it.
I love this island. It is the most beautiful in the Caribbean.
We have been watching the Dominica sites since the hurricane. People got hurt badly and the tourism is much needed. I expect the port will not be skipped.

I may be of a minority opinion here, but I think offering the lowest possible base rate and increasing al la carte options are a way to get more potential passengers.
Some people may be willing to pay a lower fare and can actually remain frugal on a cruise. Many people who are normally frugal may let loose on a vacation and splurge, but not everyone will.

Very sad news. I hope the family gets answers.

You have been sailing on really big NCL ships, so the Pride is going to feel different. I love the smaller ships with fewer venues, but for lots of cruisers bigger means more variety of stuff to do onboard. If you like the big ships you may have a little culture shock with a smaller one.

Little known fact... Carnival has trained dowsers who make a rod out of swizzle sticks. They pass the rod over the bags coming on the ship. When the swizzle stick points down, they open the bag and take the liquor.

Sometimes one system does not always update the other, sad but true. If the CCL agent sees the credit, it is really there. You may find the online system syncs up correctly in the future.

... they are checking in separately? Or should she tell them at check in he won’t be able to come?
Tell them he is not coming so they are lot looking for him until the last minute. Just no need to say anything about it before check in.

On the big ships it takes more than that forecast to break out the barf bags. Really rough weather is fairly rare. Kind of like severe turbulence when flying. Always a possibility but rare.
Twice daily cabin service?

Some folks look forward to turn down service, and others could not care less about it. Looks like everyone can have what they want.
