They started this a year or so ago because airline weight requirements became a big issue overwhelming the front desk.
They can be easily missed and don’t really stand but it’s a nice touch.

It’s Stan Kuppens.

We heard that it was Darin Bowland who will be The Master of the NS. I believe that he is already with the ship.
Sandra
Correct, he is currently in the shipyard.
He has had an interesting history, but is a very humble and personable captain.
-
It is Captain Bowland.

In Seward, book with J Dock. Thank me later.

Does anyone have a current seating chart for the dining room?
Halfacts’ should still be current

Why the 3 hour delay in reporting to the NPS? That seems a little odd.

If you have Global Entry, take the card and you can use fastlane at YVR.

We found Cunard’s bread vastly inferior to HAL’s, in terms of both taste and selection. You don’t get a bread basket in Britannia - they quickly offer bread before service and that’s it.

Sorry to her fans.
They can’t sell Veendam or she would’ve already been gone. Maasdam I doubt survives when the 3rd Pinnacle very likely comes online in 2022.

FOX News, CNN International (far cry from CNN), BBC, MSNBC were on the QM2 in May. Sky too, not sure if that’s a news network though.

I have a photo around here somewhere with 8 on a table. What a fun night with friends that was.

Wang wangs.

Steak, chicken and salmon are always available. Have a chat with the chef and you will be well taken care of.

I assumed (we LOVE Red Carnation properties, hence why wanting to cruise Uniworld) but wanted to ask. Thank you!

We sent around 60 postcards on our May 10 westbound crossing and have heard from many all over the globe they’ve been received.

For dinner, are there “always available” options? Looking at Uniworkd in 2019 but my wife is a clean eater and always wants a plain piece of salmon with steamed veggies.
-
Out friend had one of these on our May crossing.
It was sooooo much nicer than our Britannia balcony cabin, I was jealous.

Is ArtLink the replacement ?
http://galleries.artlink.com/onboard/
Yes. It’ll roll out as contracts expire.

I don't think many here, including myself, will dispute that.
However I was enjoy a few minutes to ponder the "what-if" and dream :) Just think of a slightly longer and wider up Renaissance R-Class with a full wraparound promenade deck, lots of standard balconies (with bigger bathrooms!), a proper library and observation lounge, etc and boy would she be a stunner!
I’m sorry I misread your thread and didn’t realize you were writing hope. My bad! Sincerely. No snark!

She will not be replaced. Maasdam EXC is as close as you’ll get.
Sorry.

I just had occasion to visit the HAL website, and saw the photo of Orlando Ashford with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. I'm surprised no one has taken issue with that. "Self-made and self-promoting religious celebrity takes political stand against apartheid." At least he's not bewigged.
Roz
Do you recall the vitriol posed when Ashford was named president? That was something else ...

My vote would go to Lisa Lutoff, the CEO of Celebrity. IMHO she has done more to promote business for HAL the past couple of years than anyone else.
Now this is a good post. Bravo!

We are in NYC twice a month and always stay at the Bryant Park Hotel.
Leaving the midtown piers, the bow should be open. Go there, plant yourself, and enjoy one of the best sail always on planet earth.

AT&T has International Day Pass. It’s absolutely free to put on your plan, and once you are roaming in another country billed $10/day and your plan is identical (ie you are using exact plan you do daily).
Is HAL done with Traditional look?

I recall this same discussion when HAL introduced its first ship utilizing solely engine power - and not sails - for propulsion.
