  1. This was the most easiest process to go through no line no waiting. Just to point out I think this was because we were Haven members. As We entered through terminal C the Haven lounge was right there on the left hand side. Our paperwork was completed and we were sitting there drinking coffee and a lemon pound cake. About 10 minutes later a lovely lady came and escorted us up to the waiting area. DH Still having no clue we are staying in the Haven although all signs pointed to that fact. As we are walking to the designated waiting area I see the stares at others like where they going. I've had that same look in my eyes now I know. As we are brought to another holding area to wait there too they had a setup of coffee tea and snacks. We were there for about another 10 minutes when we were whisked onto the ship and into an awaiting elevator up to the Haven on deck 16 we go. Total embarkation time half hour. Sweet

The Haven experience. The look on DH face as the lovely lady escorted us through the secret passage of the Haven was priceless. He turned and looked at me and was like we're in the Haven? I simply smiled. He said Yvette how did you do this? OK here comes the barrage of questions. How? When? How much did this cost? Yadda Yadda. I simply smiled and said just enjoy the experience. He then stated thank you its been my dream to be in the haven and you fulfilled it. No his income tax refund fulfilled it but he will never know. OK back to the story. So as we sat in the haven lounge, John was our conceriege he explained his role and that we could go to him for anything. Since we pre-arranged everything prior the need for the conceriege right now was not needed. He did state we should go to him 45 minutes prior to the illusionary show and he will walk us down to get front row seats.

  2. Hello all, Here is my attempt to give you what you have asked for. A review of the new itinerary that the Getaway is doing to Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya and Cozumel. A brief history of myself I am turning the big 50 soon. This trip was with my DH (51). This is my 5th cruise with NCL and I have been on RCCL as well as Carnival. I would say that RCCL has always been my favorite until this past cruise when I was introduced to the HAVEN. It was all thanks to the lovely people on CC who taught me about the upsell Department. I tried to capture everything that I thought people would like to know. Every night I went back to my room and did a synopsis of the day. My DH said what are you writing a book.:) Also thanks to CC I decided I was going to fly down a day early and stay at a hotel, I did not want any what ifs to happen. We stayed at The Red Carpet Inn. To me it was a total waste although we only stayed there for one day it looked a little seedy. don't get me wrong the rooms were clean and all, I guess because I never stayed at an Inn before. The lobby seemed like it could have used a face lift. 1st impressions is a must in my opinion. The bed was the worst I slept in I awoke with a severe backache. We used Sas transportation to get to the pier we had a 930 pickup time from our hotel. Eric gave us a call at 900 saying he was running early and he should be at our hotel in 15 minutes. Great. We were leaving the bates motel. We ended up going to pick up a few more passengers at area hotels and then the airport and we were on our way. Let the party begin. DH still has no clue. Arrival at the pier was 25 minutes later.

  3. We just got off the Getaway 5/1/16 and there was definitely something going on that day. We had an aft facing balcony and at 5:30 am, when we were sailing into port, I saw about 6 police boats fly by us with lights and sirens and surround the ship pulling in behind us. I think it was a carnival ship.

We just had a leisurely breakfast and left the ship at 9:30. It took about 45 minutes to get through customs.

How did you like your aft facing balcony? My husband loved the haven he said now since you surprised me we can't ever go back

  4. Thank you so much for bringing home all of the dailies!!

I can't wait to see them!!

Question.... Do they still have Week At A Glance?

With all of the shows? If so, and you have one, can you please post that as well?

I do remember seeing it up not sure if I have a copy it was on a stand in the haven lounge when I was making reservations with the concierge

  5. Hi,

Do you happen to remember when the captains cocktail party was?

and if you are a latitudes member.... do you remember when that party was?

Trying to make dinner reservations around these parties.

    Thanks!

I am a latitude member but i didn't see an invite for this party. I will check the dailies when I get home

  6. Yay! So glad you had a great time! Where was your favorite place to hang out on the ship?

I would have to say the Haven sundeck it was nice and quiet and the chairs and lounges were so comfortable

As soon as I get settled I have tons of reporting to do with pictures if I know how to upload. But if you have questions ask away I'm sitting in the airport for the next 4 hours

  8. Hello all just off the ship and I must say it was fabolous. I had the mango meltdown and it was really good. I didn't get to try the pear pleasure. I brought all the dailies home with me and will answer all your questions. We are at the airport awaiting out 6pm flight. Glad I have a bunch of battery backups. We were in a H5 suite on the 16th floor. Right out the room into the pool area.

  9. This will be my first time in the Haven, I have gotten a lot of information already form this site but here are some things I couldn't find.

    1. In my welcome packet it came with a letter and luggage tags. I have read that we could chose our choice of pillows, fruit, etc... Is there a list somewhere?

    2. Can I have them empty out the fridge so that I may store my medication prior to arrival.

    3. Is there anything else I should know prior to arrival.

I want to make the most out of this Haven experience and not say oh I wish I had known prior to sailing.

Thanks in advance 11 days and counting

  10. I originally booked an ocean view cabin on the Getaway on April 26. I then upgraded to a balcony. I then got the upsell to go to a Haven Suite. The question is do I get the extra Haven Loyalty points for being in a Haven suite or does it only count when you first book your cruise to the Haven. I am trying to become a platinum member quick.

  11. another question. As I am reading the Welcome to Haven pamphlet I just received the other day it states that one could smoke on their Haven balcony. Is this an old book, because I have read in numerous locations one can not smoke on balconies any longer. Husband is unfortunately a smoker and would love to smoke on his balcony if it is allowed.
