She straight up said the offer does not increase chance. I agree it does not make much sense. I am going to call and try to speak with a different agent about this.
For our Jan cruise on Breakaway I bid $300 per person to go from inside to balcony, we were awarded an aft balcony. I think that the high bid helped.

We ate there twice when we were on the Breakaway in Jan, we had the shrimp cocktail (husband had 2 of them) no extra charge for them. Husband also had the surf& turf 2nd time no extra charge.

When we were on the Breakaway the first thing our server asked us was if we had any food allergies. This was something new from the Pearl last year.

Last time we were on NCL they had an xray machine on the ship as we were boarding to prevent people from doing this. That may be ship or embarkation dependent, but I wouldn't take the chance.
It's once you have gone through security and inside the waiting area.

So no orange soda? Do they have any on the ships?
They had orange soda and root beer on the Breakaway a couple weeks ago.

The bummer when you upgrade is you only get the inside cabin offers.
We also book our cruises with land based casino. And if you do just get the inside perk and you have to pay the administrative fees which for our 10 day cruise in Jan was about $200 for each of us, how much do you really save by booking with the offer if you upgrade to OV or balcony and don't get the extra perks but pay for say dining pkg?

At the port in New Orleans after you have gone through security and gone through the line to get your ship card they have you wait in a large waiting area, just to the right when you enter the room there is a vendor there selling lanyards, snacks and a big cooler of sodas. You are allowed to purchase them at that time and take on board, sorry can't remember if Dr Pepper was a choice.

We're still sitting here at the port... There must have been some kind of delay with the NCL booked flights is my best guess. They were still loading luggage as of about ten minutes ago, so I'm guessing we'll be underway soon.
I'm about to head down to the solo meeting at Maltings Bar, and check that out.
Two weeks ago it was after 6:00 before we took of. Those boarding earlier had no problems but apparently later on people were having long waits to board.

Am I the only one who has experienced an outage of the website for the past hour or so? Anyhoo, we move on... After lunch I made my way back to Vibe for a margarita with Patron silver... Interestingly, there was no upcharge, and the bartender said it was included. Perhaps the new, grossly absurd beverage price increase hasn't hit the Breakaway yet?
Soon, cabins were ready, and I went down and set up my new home for the next ten days. All my shirts are hung in the closet, and my toiletries and whatnot set up. Then I headed back to Vibe for a mango margarita, frozen with Patron silver. Still no upcharge... And, with one heck of a straw, that I thought NCL did away with.
New prices when we boarded the Breakaway on Jan 17th.

The highest bid on mine increased, for awhile it went back and forth then stayed at the higher price.

Looking forward to following along with another one of your reviews. We just got off the same cruise on the 27th, loved it! Have a great time and safe travels.

When you book a cruise using th Harrah's Diamond discount instead of the certicate do they still charge you the $200 administrative fee?

Has anyone used the cruise discount for Diamond members? What was the cost basis for the discount? I've been on hold for hours a couple of times recently with the CAS line but forgot to ask them this question and thought maybe one of you all had used the discount. Right now I have 3 cruise certificates but none of them give me the summer dates I want. Thanks!!
Last April when we had a certificate to use from Harrah's the fine print said had to be used by Nov. when I called the representative said we could use it in Jan also said we could use it on a 10 day cruise which surprised me.

Hope you're having a great time on the Breakaway... If possible, could you please try and find out if this "premium beverage package" is even available on the Breakaway... As far as I can tell, it's only for the Sun and Sky... Thanks for the info, and enjoy your cruise.
New premium package has not yet been implemented on the Breakaway.

I'm just getting off the Breakaway now, used it twice, I could hear them fine but they had a hard time hearing me.

LoveToTravel, can you confirm if the Breakaway has initiated their new drink prices and the new drink package on your cruise. If they have are a lot of customers upset? Just curious. Thanks and hope you are stilll having a great time. 3 more days
I'm not LoveToTravel but I'm on the ship currently and yes the new prices have been implemented. I haven't seen anything about a new drink package option.

Where do you see the rating of the offer like good, poor etc??
When checking my bids on my IPhone I couldn't see what range my bid was in, just a bar with a slider to move left or right. But on my iPad there was a half circle with a needle and different colors and it showed what the bid range was i.e. poor, average, excellent...

Thanks. We have gone out NO several times on smaller ships and I was hoping that hadn’t changed due to the larger ship Breakaway. I know a route that goes the back way and avoids all the traffic. Hope you are both having a great cruise.
Street construction really tieing up traffic there.

Sticardsfan we were at Ocean Blue last night too! And we saw the sunset. DH had the King Crab appetizer and the seafood platter and asparagus. I had the oysters Rockefeller and a salad and the Maine lobster. Everything was good. So far the best dessert has been in the buffet. It was a mini chocolate pie. Yum.
My favorite has been in the buffet the crepe station. But the raspberry brûlée in Cagneys was pretty good too. We both had the seafood platter.
What was your upgrade offer and what did you bid
