  1. Depends on where you are flying from, and what cruise you are taking.

Nobody is forcing you to take a B2B cruise, so why is it so important to understand why others do?

We very much enjoy taking B2B cruises.

I was wondering whether to do a 2nd week on MSC Splendida. B2B, since 7 days may not be enough to fully experience all the facilities, entertainment and activities on such a large ship. But, on this forum, I read that all the main in house Production shows will be the same and even some guest performances will be the same

  2. You are incorrect. You are still comparing two different rating systems. A hotel star rating is consider a CLASSIFICATION RATING and not a SATISFACTION RATING. In fact, in Europe, Hotel Class Ratings are generally regulated by the Government, and they speak to minimum requirements that each classification has. It DOES NOT speak to how satisfied government is with each particular establishment.

The Cruise critic editors overall rating is based on his satisfaction level and the average of the sub category ratings-- entertainment, food, etc

  3. Hi all,

My 13-year-old daughter and I will be taking a cruise next year. But we a torn between a Princess cruise and a Celebrity cruise. Both are a 7-night Western Caribbean escape with 4 ports of call.

    Princess itinerary:

    Sun: Depart from Ft. Lauderdale

    Mon: Princess Cays, Bahamas

    Tue : At Sea

    Wed: Falmouth, Jamaica

    Thurs: Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

    Fri: Cozumel, Mexico

    Sat: At Sea

    Sun: Return to Ft. Lauderdale

    X Cruise itinerary:

    Sat: Depart from Miami

    Sun: Key West, Florida

    Mon: At Sea

    Tues: Costa Maya, Mexico

    Wed: Cozumel, Mexico

    Thurs: Georgetown, Grand Cayman

    Fri: At Sea

    Sat: Return Miami

The Princess cruise is on the Regal Princess and the X cruise is on the Equinox. This is our first cruise so all opinions and advice is helpful.

    Thanks

Pray tell us the price of both Cruises for the same category cabin

  4. A lot of times, the cost of flying is so high, people do two cruises.

There are a lot of reasons to do B2B, and repeating shows as a negative isn't a big deal.

Most ships have more than 2 production shows- so it's possible that they are constantly being rotated- so you could see 3 or 4 in a B2B situation.

But once you've seen them, that's it.

We've sailed on the Adventure so many times, I think we've memorized some of the shows. It's still fun.

What are the reasons please? I don't believe that flying is more expensive than Cruises
