    Hi, Sue!

Looks as if we're ships passing again.  I will be boarding the Silhouette on Monday for her Thanksgiving cruise.  Hope you make it into port.  The winds have been fierce even over here in SW Florida!  And it rained all day yesterday which we desperately needed.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Linda!  I hope you have a smoother cruise.  The port was crazy with people arriving and leaving on the same area but we made it to the airport in time for our flight.

    Enjoy your Thanksgiving onboard!

I couldn’t pass up getting an easy $250 OBC from the Celebrity BOA credit card. I linked the credit from BOA to my reservation number for an upcoming cruise. Does anyone know if I can access the credit before the cruise (pre pay excursions or dinning) or will the credit just appear on my onboard statement?  I haven’t received any communication from Celebrity about the credit but I did print the statement from BOA.

You will need to call Captain's Club (800-760-0654) and they will transfer the OBC to your sailing.  Once that is done, you can use it right away.

Speaking of fact vs fiction, I’m having trouble believing this to me true.

It's 100% true.  There is no need to fabricate something like this and just because you haven't seen something first hand, it doesn't mean that it hasn't happened.

On X in Blu, it states there is a dress code. I don’t see why someone can’t put on a pair of pants and a golf shirt. This man always looked like he came in from the gym. If they’re from RCCL and there is no dress code, then go to the buffet.

Last year in Blu we were seated at a two-top and soon after another couple sat next to us.  He had a sleeveless undershirt on with arm holes that hung half way to his waist, a baseball hat turned backward, shorts and flip flops.  His language went from bad to worse and he became louder.  I finally told him very nicely that I didn't appreciate listening to him while I was having dinner.  He told me that he paid as much as we did to sit there so he could do what he wanted.  The Maitre'D  asked if we wanted to move but since I wasn't the problem, I told him that we shouldn't have to move.  The other couple got up and left after that.  This could have been avoided if they would not have allowed him in when he first showed up.

Just noticed on our cruise the Upgrade for classic to premium has been discounted 5%.  We are Elite Plus.  Do I get a better price if I call Captain's Club?

    Diane

We're also Elite Plus and get a 10% discount on the upgrade.  This needs to be done with a phone call rather than online.  If you rep can't do it, call Captain's Club.

  6. We did attend the first one on the Equinox last year.  The mixologist from the World Class Bar mixed some different drinks as he talked about them while the band played music that was supposed to be related to the drink although I didn't really get the connection.  As he made each drink, we were served the same drink to try.  They were full size drinks so most didn't finish them.  I think they had non-alcoholic versions for those who requested them.  It was nice but probably it looked like a lot of alcohol went to waste.

  7. Thank you for taking the time to post a review with pictures.  We'll be onboard for two weeks beginning on Nov. 27 so I've been following along.  We're also in Aqua because we love Blu, especially the service so hopefully we'll get a good waiter and sommelier.  Do you have any recommendations?

  8. We've been in the aft cabins on 11 three times on the Summit, most recently in April of this year.  I love the location and don't mind hearing the music/chatter from the Sunset Bar.  My only complaint is when the movie on 12 is so loud at times that it can be heard in the cabin with the door closed.  When it's that loud, sitting on the veranda is not enjoyable.  My favorite cabins are the aft cabins below the Sunset bar but those are not Aqua so we can't eat in Blu.

  9. When we had an aft on 11 in April there was something playing most of the time so you can't go by the movie schedule.  There were times that it was so loud we could hear it in our cabin with the door closed.  Two different times I called guest services and they were able to decrease the sound one time but not the other.  It didn't seem to matter that it was raining outside and there were only 350 guests onboard!

  10. We were in Aqua aft cabin 1140 on the Summit last month and loved the size and the location of the balcony but there were times when the sound from the movie on 12 made it less than enjoyable sitting out there.  Even though it was raining and there were only 350 passengers onboard they still had the sound blasting. When it got loud enough that we heard it in the cabin I called guest relations about it.  One time it was turned down but the next time there was no improvement.

I cannot wait to see Z again! I missed her so much when I was on in January. She had left the day we embarked. 😭

Daniel, who was the other World Class Mixologist when I was on in July was still there in January, but it was his last week.

Here's a picture of the regulars at the WCB with Z during our 12 night cruise last November.  If you get a chance, please show her this picture.  I think she'll remember us.  We hope to see her again in October.

    Have a great cruise!

What port has the water taxi to an island off shore, for sun and beers! I’ve read you can take a water taxi to an island and have chairs, umbrella, beer and food. I thought I read you could take a water taxi just 5 minutes for the port.

Where Celebrity docks in St Thomas, there's a water taxi within walking distance that goes to Water Island.  When you get to the island they provide transportation for the short trip to the bar/restaurant which has chairs and umbrellas.  The food and drinks have always been good.  We've done this several times and enjoyed it.

Are you allowed to share LLP's email on this forum?  I have spoken to three different Celebrity representatives and my personal information still has not been corrected.

I don't see why not especially since this is where I would have first learned about it.  The only time I would use it is if it was an important issue that needs to be addressed and all other avenues have been exhausted.

Could you please share the email address for LLP?  I called Celebrity on Sunday about the issue that my husbands info is in someone  else’s reservation and it still hasn’t been fixed.  Got another email today to book excursions for a cruise that we aren’t going on.  I looked on his account and it’s on there with another woman’s name.  My guess is that she has access to all his info.  This worries me as we are leaving Monday on a cruise and I’m concerned that somehow our reservation is going to get messed up.  😊

The address I initially used is lLutoff-Perlo@celebritycruises.com.  Good Luck!

    Well done.

Was your original reservation handled directly with Celebrity or through a TA?

As your TA wouldn't be the one populating things like passport number and the like, that lends further credence to the idea that this is an X IT problem.

Mine was done directly through Celebrity but the person who now has access to my account used a TA.  I don't think it matters who entered the info because it's there for her to see.  She probably has the ability to change my account password if she wants to.

    Again...

It's only the recipient of the data that will know this has occurred, not the party whose data was exposed.   Please send screen shots to the party whose data you received if there is data present that makes that possible.   They are the ones who have reason to press the point with Celebrity and have some chance of doing so successfully.

My account is still tied to the person who notified me of the issue.  Because I have done my online registration for two upcoming cruises, she can also see my passport number and exp. date along with my husbands.  I did a screen shot of her initial email along with what she is able to see and potentially do with this info and emailed it to LLP.

It's the person whose information that was exposed in your account who can argue 'harm' and would be due compensation.  If enough to make contact (e.g. an exposed email was included), I'd send them a screen shot and let them make their own demands.  A few people doing that might get some attention.

Good idea!  The problem with mine is that if she would not have emailed me, I would have no idea that someone else had access to my  information.  Even if your account doesn't look compromised, it may not be secure.

  18. A couple of weeks ago I received an email from someone who said that our account was linked with hers.  She has the same name and year of birth as me and she was able to see all of my personal information along with my upcoming sailings.  Celebrity told her she needed to contact her TA to fix it but the TA couldn't do anything about it so she reached out to me.  I contacted Captain's Club and they could see there was an issue but could not tell me what it was.  They needed to speak with the other person to get her personal info.  I'm still waiting for her to get back to me once it's resolved.
