Heads Up! Bubbles are forming.
Canadians can travel to Hawaii (positivity rate 2%) without quarantine! Yah!
Westjet offering covid insurance up to C$200k.
https://www.westjet.com/en-ca/book-trip/vacation/covid-insurance
The only thing holding me back is the 14 day quarantine requirement. Hope that it changes in January!!!
Hope that the new administration will allow limited cruising out of Hawaii in April, if covid peaks in December. Aloha!
$200k is a paltry amount if traveĺ to the US is contemplated.

I keep checking back on this thread hoping someone has finally won the argument and everyone agrees with them.

I do believe the context of the no threat included "at this time" and "that is subject to change". The no threat was a small part of the entire statement.
Details like these are just so inconvenient for the narrative though! -

No bigger fan of Canada them me and your country as well as New Zealand have done a terrific job handling this darn virus. As to Dr. Fauci (I met the man back when I worked with HIV/AIDS programs) lost me when he publicly supported the idea that wearing masks was dangerous. He later admitted that he was not sorry about that mask fiasco since it was in our best interests to keep PPE available for healthcare workers. So he essentially said that if its in the best interests of healthcare workers it is fine to mislead the public? Dr. Fauci also said (back in January) that COVID was "not a threat" to the USA. Yes, things do change. But why should we believe him now and not then? So fool me once and shame on you but ..........
By the way, I have read that Canadians are very supportive of the WHO. Just recently Dr. David Nabarro, WHO's special COVID envoy urged governments to "stop using lockdowns" as the primary means to control COVID. Go figure. There have been so many mixed messages about COVID that it stretches the credibility of many of the top experts.

Well whatever you’re doing in the US it seems to be working, so keep it up!- 1

It's CNN & major media that are hyping covid, which was the worst in the larger cities.
By this do you mean media that isn’t telling you what you want to hear?- 4

If the CDC was truly all about protecting the public, then they would not have allowed tens of thousands of people to sit in a stadium in KC last night to watch a game.
Out of their jurisdiction, so as per usual one of your specious arguments.
Sounded good to say though I bet.

Yep, staying in the media limelight
Right? Imagine that, the CDC in the limelight during a global pandemic. Damn them! They should be figuring out how to get cruise ships back on the oceans.

The CEO said in an interview this week that they will provide details when the CDC offers any suggestions. Obviously the CDC has decided the cruise lines aren't worthy of a moment's consideration
Maybe the CDC has other priorities right now. Just a guess.- 1

Quite an impressive list of ships really, in addition Royal Caribbean are back to giving away cruises on MyVegas for January 2021 so they must be fairly confident. Surely NCL won't be far away
Actually not an impressive list at all. What, 19 ships? Only a handful can be compared to any NCL ship, and very limited at that. This is really just a toe in the water. Mainstream cruising is a long way off.....But, it’s nice to dream.

There is zero chance this will sail. Don’t make a final payment - cancel now while you can still get your deposit back.

No one blamed anyone. It was merely pointed out that an email between her and her son is proof of nothing. That is 100% factually accurate.
Filing a false dispute with a CC company is fraud. In this case, the cruise line is refunding the amounts paid in form of a FCC which is what was agreed to by lack of action on the customers' part (unless of course she has actual proof of her requesting a refund, none of which has been described in any of her posts).
Wrong on all counts. But go on, if it makes you feel good. -

Sorry but using age and health to support your claim means nothing. It has NOTHING to do with the process.
Did you get a confirmation of your refund request from NCL? If not, then you have no proof you submitted it correctly- despite you claiming you did.
Is your son ever going to cruise again? Anyone else you know? Your FCC can be transferred one time.
Blame the victim gets boring.
to the OP - dispute it with your credit card.

MSC’s Yacht Club makes The Haven feel like a Motel 6. Only downside is less variety of cabin types and slightly smaller cabins.

There is no reason to think that anything will change in the buffets, especially as more and more studies determine that the virus does not spread by touch.
5 hours ago, Despegue said:As the WHO and other institutions are getting to know SARS- Cov2 better every day now, it is becoming clear that the virus does NOT transmit via surfaces and touch. As a result, Buffets are perfectly safe, but I do think that the HAL concept of being served your food is much better and far far classier.
Interesting. I tried to find a reference but couldn't. So does this mean we can stop washing our hands and using sanitizer?

Well actually, Australian govts (state and federal) are considering vaccination as a prerequisite to arrival. So yes you can boycott Qantas, but if you’re flying to Oz you may not have a choice.
