  1. I had my aortic valve replaced less than 3 months before a Trans-Atlantic and British Isle Cruise (30 days). After the operation I was in Afib and got a pacemaker. My Doctors said I could go on the cruise and have a good time. I did have to see the ships doctor for routine adjustment of my medication. I had a fantastic time. During my next visit to my cardiologist I learned that my Afib converted to normal on the embarkation day of the cruise. Listen to your Doctor and get insurance. I hope you enjoy your cruise.

  3. I enjoy a balcony. It is a nice and quite place to relax. Balcony rooms are slightly larger and the window wall gives light and a view. Down side on the Regal balconies are smaller than on other ships. I believe a balcony is well worth the extra cost.

  4. I am Elite. I enjoyed every cruise getting to Elite. Taking a 1 night cruise

can not be any fun. If you want to be Elite at least have fun getting there. The most important and enjoyable part of the journey to Elite is the Cruising. It is a fantastic journey. The benefits of being Elite are nice too.

  5. How lucky do you fell? Good possibility you could make a 1200 flight, but then timing will be tight and everything will have to go just right or you miss your flight.

  6. We had a window suite on the Golden going around the Cape Horn. Since the weather was cool, did not miss a balcony. It was fantastic, location was great, 3 closets, and a bathroom you could get lost in. When we embarked had a difficult time finding it. Asked a crew member and they didn't think there were any cabins on 6 deck. Asked security and they pointed out a unmarked door that opened to the hallway to the window suites. If price is not a concern suite with a balcony over window, but a window is a very close second. I think everyone should try a suite once.

  7. IECalCruiser, would you do this again? Did you ever find it too crowded or feel like you didn't have enough time to make it worth the cost?

It can get crowded depending on the time of day. The worth depends on the individual. It is a quit place and relaxing. The heated loungers are great. The saunas are not crowed. If there are a lot of sea days you have ample time to to use it. Port days, unless you stay on the ship, use will be limited. The decision is yours.

  8. Was on the Grand Princess two weeks ago Mini Suite Clb Class. You can cancel TD. Since you are in a Suite Club Class is included. A portion of one of the dining rooms will designated as Club Class, there seperate enterance. Breakfast, lunch(on sea days) and dinner are served there. First time you arrive they will ask for your cabin number, they will have your name. After that they will recognize you and address you by name. The menu is the same as other dining rooms with the exception of one specialty item. For lunch the specialty item was always a pasta prepared on site, they were excellent. The service was fantastic, always the same waiters. They took a number of extra steps to serve us. One morning the Hostess went down to the International Cafe to get us specialty coffee. Breakfast Omelettes are made on site. We enjoyed Club Class and will book it again.
