  1. You will be fine.

Since it is a renewal it is much faster. Like FBW said you will have it before the end of August.

If not bring your birth certificate and drivers license.

  2. We took a 14 day Western and Eastern Caribbean back to back for $519. Carnival gave us $200 obc for stock holders credit. We used SkyMiles for airfare and credit card rewards for a free hotel room. We don't live by a large airport so typically we drive 3 hours one way to save on airfare, but with skymiles we flew out of our small regional airport 5 minutes away.

  3. We used to have a great PVP and she even gave us her cell number to contact her. When she wasn’t available she gave us a name of another PVP a friend of hers. She was great, so of course she got promoted. We now have one that’s pretty good, but not like our first !

  4. hi there. We are doing back to back cruises this December on the Horizon. Besides havinh the pools all to ourselves, is this the best time to do laundry in their laundry room? Some sites show the laundry rooms closed while docked? Any other tips on what we should do with ship empty of cruisers? Thanks.

One thing I have done is laundry the night before debarkation of the first leg. Everyone else is packing and prepping to leave in the morning. Obviously the laundry being available depends on which ship you will be on and one ship doesn’t really know what any other ships are doing!

  5. We were on the Glory and went to guest services and asked if the laundry would be open on the splendor when we got off of Glory and jumped on Splendor. They said yes and we would need quarters. So I purchased the quarters and at the end of our Glory trip boarded the Splendor and all the laundry rooms were locked. I asked a room steward in the hall if this was normal and they said yes, but they would call someone. It took a while, but someone in a white uniform showed up and unlocked the door. The funny thing is the washer and dryers used your sail and sign card. No quarters needed!

  6. Are any in your party suffering from mobility issues? An accessible cabin or two might be available. Do a mock booking for the ship and see if any are available. Couple that with other vacancies that might occur at the final payment date and you might be in.

Thanks! My mother in law does have mobility issues. I checked this morning and the cruise isn't even listed to search! I'll keep watching.

  7. We did this a couple of years ago. We sailed the first week just me and DW and the second week our neighbors joined us. After getting through customs the 2nd time and us getting back on the ship, our neighbors called us and kept us up to date on their progression of getting on the ship. When they boarded I took their carry on to my room so they didn't have to lug it around. We had the option of getting off the ship and reboarding with our neighbors if we wanted to, but choose not to.

  8. Check Princess or Holland America Line. Both offer a more refined Alaska experience and have better availability than Carnival in that market.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's a 2-week journeys cruise and we would turn platinum on that Cruise so we are currently loyal to Carnival.

  9. According to my PVP, TA hold's on cabins doesn't exist and she can see and book the same rooms as TA's. Not sure which is true.

Thanks! Maybe that was an urban legend!

I think some rooms may shake loose because final payment is coming up!

  10. Suggest you check with Carnival or your travel agent. It's unusual to see no empty cabins in any category that far out, unless the ship has been chartered.

The cruise is to Alaska and it is in big demand.

  11. You never know, keep looking. Why don’t you come on Edge with me in January?!

That would be great! Text or email me the info. My in-laws are interested in going with us, but aren’t big on planning ahead that’s why we missed the boat on this cruise. Pun intended.

  12. We are interested in going on a cruise that is completely sold out. In a few days it will be 90 days before the cruise sails. Do you think some cabins will open up? I think I remember hearing that Travel Agents have to give back unsold blocks of rooms they had on hold after the 90 day timeframe. We were just wondering if there was much of a chance. We need 3 rooms.
