Have always had a balcony cabin-aft wraps on spirit class spoiled us forever! Now that I'm a solo cruiser OV'es are fine. Have my eye on an 8 day cruise-for $400 extra I can get a cove balcony. If anyone has had a cove can I ask your opinion? I'm not in cabin that much-just to sleep, change clothes and shower, But wonder if it's worth experiencing a cove!

Husband took care of cruise insurance. After his death when I booked my CCL Magic cruise I just took their insurance for $90. Planning to book another and insurance is up to $189. And I'm just realizing I had/have no idea what CCL would cover, I don't need flight insurance as I'm close to port but I want cancel for any reason. What's a good company to check out and how do I find out what CCLinsurance covers?

I'm a CCL cruiser thinking of booking Gem for February. Free at sea beverage tips are about $240. What exactly does the package include and NOT include? TIA

This interests me. I love CCL. But my homeport is NY and I prefer to cruise in Feb, March or April and they don't start sailing from here until June. I have questions about drink package but that's for another thread. I just have 2 questions: This is for GEM. I'd book an OV. The OV rooms on CCL are big. Anyone have comparison to NCL? Also, I guess I'm in the minority but I LOVE to dress up for dinner!!! I have all my cruise clothes. Just black pants worn with some sparkly blouses and jewelry. Will I look out of place?

That's very interesting! Oldest son and family go to Rockland Boulders games all the time. We're in NE NJ and NY is right near us. Funny, our first cruise was PBA charter on Horizon to Hamilton and St. George. Our boys were young-Jim was president and had to go (free lol) my parents would stay with boys. NOT ME!!!! Tell me how a heavy ship floats on the water but otherwise no way Jose! Long story short I was dragged on the ship by Jim and friends. By the time we passed Statue of Liberty I was hooked!And the rest is history lol. It's going to be tough getting on the ship without him, but I will always be grateful he took me on so many voyages and I'll cherish all the memories. We always wanted to sail Magic or Breeze (but our favorite is still Pride, Spirit Miracle and Legend!) so I'll do that tomorrow for us. I'll play the slots and our favorite numbers at roulette too! It's very kind of you to mention that and I thank you from bottom of my heart. And GOOD LUCK to your team!

Might even be able to cruise in a balcony cabin during the off season......I've been a Yankee fan since I was old enough to walk and talk but the salaries are INSANE. Now back to cruise talk!!!

If it's that bad for us, think how bad it is for HIM. Everyone standing, pointing cameras and phones at him.....I remember some record to beat Jeter had going. When he did (can't remember exactly what it was) he said he just wanted to get it over with! 💪⚾ I'm sailing tomorrow. Hoping he hits a few into the bleachers tonight!

They really stepped up. With so many complaints it's good to hear this but of course heartbreaking for reason behind it. Sincere sympathy to your friends. I have 8 grands. I can't even imagine.....

Never thought of it that way. Plus we have CCL vacation protection so they got that too. And steakhouse reservations which I'm sure they are not going to refund. And pre paid tips.

I was just on CCL website with my info. It says all guests must arrive at same time. What's going to happen? Will they hold me up unless I tell them she's not coming?

Oh boy!!!! That's crazy but thanks for the advanced warning. Would they rather her board the ship sick? It's a 6 day cruise-so just keep my mouth shut???

Thanks Jamman! I'm upset!! First cruise without Jim and his sister said she'd join me. I did insist on cruise insurance. It's only her 2nd cruise-first was 11 years ago so she's a newbie lol. Feel bad for her. I'm kind of nervous too but I will go to guest relations and tell them situation. I contacted special needs-they said they'd get back to me in 7 days!!!😑🤔

My sister in law and I are cruising Saturday. She just told me she's very sick-stomach as well as cough, sneezing etc. Obviously can't go! What do I do when I check in?

All good to know! My DIL cruised with us on the Miracle when she was in her first trimester of pregnancy and had mild morning sickness. We had very rough seas. Between that and the purple grapes in the MDR I was very worried but she was fine. What a champ!!!

You always get the shrimp cocktail and you always post pictures. I thought maybe you had eaten half and then remembered to take a picture! I'm really missing spirit class ships seeing these pictures. I love those walk arounds on deck 3.

We're leaving NY on the 24th. Due to arrive in Bermuda Monday the 26th. By this time next week I guess we'll both know where we actually sailed to!!! Good luck!
