You think most 21 year olds are new drinkers?   I seriously doubt that is the case on average.  I’m also pretty sure the average 21 year old is in a category of most likely to get their money’s worth.

Obviously no idea about the OPs situation, but in general I’m pretty sure buying a package for a 21 year old is a safe bet.

Either way I hope his daughter has a great birthday.

Topnole, spot on. We took our girls to Cabo last summer and they showed it wasn’t their first time. They also drink bottled water and specialty coffee. I would anticipate they would get “my” monies worth. It will be a great celebration for sure.

If you had a time machine sure; unfortunately you will be looking at $70 per day minimum @ the 96 hour pre boarding time frame

Regardless, I hope it all works for the best and y’all have a great birthday cruise!!

Thanks. I will figure out the value/cost and figure out what works best. Not opposed to by the drink.

Finding an alternative to a broken RCI IT system (it is perfectly legal for the OP to buy the package) is probably not viewed as wrong by most. The OP could also buy the package by calling - though that would involve a very lengthy wait.

I just got off the phone and they said they couldn’t and we would have to wait. I’ll call back and try to get to the next level of help.

According to the Royal App a Kentucky Summer contains:

    Buffalo Trace bourbon

    St-Germain liqueur

    Mango

    Lime juice

    Mint

No measurements are given. I hope this helps.

Great. Thanks. Hopefully someone on board sees this post and can get the measures. I’m sure I could wing it if I had too.

Did you google it?  I just looked and there are a few recipes out there with bourbon, maraschino cherry juice and simple syrup.  Does that sound like the one?

Sure did. There are multiple recipes. Someone below posted the ingredients, now to find the measures.

  7. OK, so this is not the most important thing at the moment,  at least its not covid or covid testing related.

Back in October I was on the Allure. I had drink called the Kentucky Summer on the Rising Tide bar. I am looking for exact ingredients and measures for this drink as I would like to duplicate it at home. It was very tasty if you like bourbon.

If anyone sees it on a drink menu, can you ask the bartender for the info? I would appreciate it. I am sure they serve it most ships, most bars.

    Thanks

What about the return trip?  I will be visiting St. Maarten in November, and I plan to visit Maho for some plane spotting.  Is it easy to catch a taxi back to port from Maho and how much per person?

The cost was 10 per person and there was 4 of us. When the driver dropped us we asked him to return at a specific time and he was more than happy to do that. I really didn’t pay attention to the taxi situation because of that.

Google SXM Airport Arrivals to see what time the big ones land. Most jets arrive after noon.

Good to hear.   Can you share a little of your experience?   How did you get there and back?  Was it crowded??  Did you rent chairs???

TIA.   Glad you had a good experience!

We first took a cab to the shopping area and made our liquor purchases. There is a taxi stand near the court house and we grabbed one. 10 dollars per person to get to Maho. We sat at a table at Driftwood and didn’t get chairs on the beach. It wasn’t crowded at all the day we were there.
