Another year has passed and we are due to sail in this cabin at the end of May. I too have been looking for videos or photos, so was pleased to find this thread. I will definitely post a video on YouTube when we get back. can anyone who has sailed in a GS tell me if we will be contacted in advance of our sailing or is it simply the preference sheet that I have already completed online? can’t wait.

Yes. The contractor fixing it was staying in our suite! 😩 Never mind. We really enjoyed the cruise and the ship. 😊

Totally agree. We have our first Regent cruise coming up in May and it would be so much more interesting to see the various suites, restaurants etc than the fake drama about everything! We’ll still watch it though! 😂

So were you in the forward suite on the other side? If so I reckon it must be the whole forward section. Whatever the issue is I think it’s being fixed during our cruise. Regarding the extra OBC, I asked for it! Not the specific amount, but extra OBC as compensation.

TA says the safety issue is outside the suite and a number of cabins are affected……🤷‍♀️ They have given us an extra £50pp OBC….but no Epicurean breakfast…..yet…..😏

Quite agree! I’d argue they shouldn’t be selling this suite until the last minute until it’s fixed. We could easily have been a couple celebrating a special occasion, imagine how disappointing it would have been. 😕

I assume it’s got to be something to do with the balcony? They must have kicked out the passengers sailing on the cruises prior to ours as well?

Thank you. They did offer us the cancellation option. We are going with friends so couldn’t do that. And, tbh, as disappointing as it is, I’m not devastated about it. I’m sure it’s a decent enough cabin, and if we can keep the perks we should have had then so much the better. but if there’s someone in “our” room…..oooh la la. Poo poo will hit the fanno!! 😂🤣

My husband spoke to them and didn’t ask any of these questions, so I’ll ask them tomorrow. I’ll be pretty annoyed if we lose Epicurian for breakfast as we enjoy the calmer options which come with the suite.

We booked a while ago (I can check exactly when - bear with) and we always book select. We booked in August last year.

Hmmmm, I don’t think they offered any extra OBC. We’d better have no less! we are happy with the refund offered but would still have preferred a suite.

Yes, they did. I think I’ll call our travel agent tomorrow. I want to know what the issue is. P&O “didn’t know!” they've moved us to a conservatory mini suite on deck 9.
