  1. Seems to me that she is due her 5 year in Jan. 2019, as I believe she was done in January 2014. Since Adventure is getting a suite lounge this coming Jan. I am going to guess that all the Freedom and Voyager class ships will be getting a suite lounge in their next dry docks. Love the suite lounge on Liberty. Unfortunately, the deck plans for Adventure show the proposed suite lounge is only half as large as on LB.

Where can you find these deck plans of Adventure of the Seas? Couldn't find anything. On the other side about Navigators refurbishment no information has been released officially by Royal Caribbean. So we don't know what will be refurbished. I am assuming it will be a suite lounge and general maintenance. Only time will tell. I would not be surprised if she goes into dry dock in 2019, because that's the five year mark since her last.

  2. I was curious if NCL had published the sun's new itineraries for next year. I wanted to see if doing a Cuba cruise was in my budget. I then found out the Joy was available for booking. I selected the ship. It turns out there's a variety of sailings ranging from 4-6 nights. Although, only balconys and mini suites are available for the majority of the sailing. I still don't know if it's worth flying all the way to China to sail onboard her. I think I will just wait to try the new features onboard my cruise on the Bliss to Alaska next year!

  3. After sailing 42 cruises with NCL, 6 with Princess, 4 with Celebrity, and 9 with Royal, you can see which line I prefer. I feel as if NCL as the best customer service and hospitality of all the cruise lines I've tried. NCL dining is different from every other. They have this freestyle concept. You do what you what, where you want, when you want. So this means no set times. After cruisjgn with a family member who is physically disabled many times, they love this idea, there is never a crowd, it's easy for them to navigate around the ship. There will be plenty of activities for your daughter do. My son loved the kids program. They took great care of him, and gave us a pager, in case he wanted us, or if something were to go wrong and they would need our assistance. She will fit right in no problem! The Ncl Jade was just refurbished so you are in for a treat. Oh yah, just a tip, if you do not already have pier side service I would contact ncl. This allows you to bypass security (much shorter line, no wait, just walk right through) and a dedicated lounge. This comes in handy. They will also help you with disembarktion. Any more questions just let me know!

  4. The sky was just refurbished earlier this year in January, I believe. This means that it's pretty unlikely it will have a refurbishment soon again. I know that the sun, which is very similar to the sky, will be getting a renovation in April 2018, before heading to Port Canaveral and sailing Cuba and Bahamas cruises!

  5. Just received word a few minutes ago that the 24 September Alaskan cruise for The Sun has been canceled. I would suspect that the San Francisco- Miami Panama Cruise has also been canceled. The Jewel was NOT given as an option because as of now Her last sailing to Alaska is 17 September. My guess would be that She will do exactly as She this year, head for Hawaii and on to Australia and New Zealand.

The Panama Canal is most likely canceled, due to the fact that her first sailing is in late may, meaning would have sailed through it to already reach Cape Canaveral. After her summer season there she may do a few Panama Canal transits rountrip from Orlando, before heading to South America.

  6.

The ship enforces a strict "nothing plugged in while unoccupied" rule. Stewards are suppose to disconnect and report anyone leaving phones, cameras, tablets charging when the room is unoccupied.

This is not all that true, I my recent cruise on the Breakway to Bermuda, we were able to bypass this system. You can leave a card as long as do not disturb is on. We were actually told this by our stateroom attendant after getting caught, they are supposed to report but they DONT. The stateroom attendants are there to make you happy in return for $$$.

  7. I have sailed Australia two times within the past 10 years. I recommend booking extractions through the ship when port schedules are a bit tight (meaning 5-7 hours in port). This will cost a bit more than booking privately but it will ensure you, the boat will not sail with out you. For longer port stays (8-12 hours), I recommend booking through the tour companies Viator is offering. This will allow you to have more options, but at a lower price. I do this with all the cruises I go on, not just the Australian and NZ cruises. Hope this helps!

  8. My last ncl cruise I had to cancel my husband because he had too work. I just called NCL and it was done with in a few minutes Since I canceled him before the final paynet date we were offered a refund. The employee stated, that if you are past the final payment date you will get that money back in the form of onboard credit. Since there is onyone person in that room now you will be charged for two people automatically. I would contact NCl to see if there's any studios left, because you will come out ahead. By the way NCL doesn't not charge a change fee for any reason

  9. I'm sad to inform you that's not the inaugural cruise. That is the inaugural cruise to Alaska. Bliss's inaugural cruise is a transatlantic leaving Southampton in late April of 2018. I was on the inaugural of the Escape and there was no pre cruise events. On the other hand, onboard the ship there were MANY special events. I hope this helps!

  10. Does anyone know when the complete deck plans will be revealed? Celebrity Cruises has recently been releasing info on the Edge! Carnival has recently done the same with the new Carnival Horizon too! Why can't NCL do the same with the Bliss? There's barely any info on the Bliss, all we have to go off is some info and a lot of speculations. We only know there will be in observation lounge, which was expected since it was going to be specifically built for Alaska, as well as some entertainment options. There's so much of the ship that has yet to be announced. I hate being left to hang off the cliff. The anticipation is killing me NCL! :'):')
