id just checked too and still nothing on the U.K site. Although it obvious they are literally about to because all the search options are there, just nothing happens when you click search.
I know yesterday was showing all Epic for next year but I'm curious about the Jade 9 nights to Norwegian Fjords. Patience lol

I really like the look of the cabins. They are modern and minimalistic without being too dark. I just hope the storage space isn't too minimal.
-
I'm still reading and enjoying.

Harmony of the Seas' cabins are definitely looking like the Quantum-class cabins.
Thanks for posting. They look very modern and minimalist. I like how there is a wardrobe between the sofa bed and the bed to slightly desperate the two spaces.

That perspective makes it look like those central park balconies may get a bit wet!
:( This has concerned me. We have a cp balcony, booked before the water slides were announced or at least their position confirmed. I'd not thought of getting wet but I did wonder if the slides would cast a shadow.

We had two connecting promenade cabins on Explorer last year. Previously we had only had balcony cabins and I was worried about feeling claustrophobic. This was unfounded, we found them to be bigger and lighter than we expected. The sofa in the window is a lovely touch and great for people watching.
We were on deck 7 mid ship above the shops. I would stay in one again if it was a choice of cruise or no cruise BUT there was vibration and creaking, we think may be due to the structure.
Also the music on the Royal Prom was not turned off at night so as a light sleeper I was woken a few times by the music. I didn't feel like it was bad enough to complain but it was frustrating. I thought may be I was just super sensitive to the noise as we live very rural. However I read another review when we came home were a lady stated they complained to guest relations about the noise and where moved to balcony cabins!!

Try changing one name at a time,
Disclaimer to the holier then thou group that will jump in losing their minds on what I said, guess what? I don't care what you think so save it.
Good idea and nothing to loose by trying this thank you

Here's what I understand, there were 2 cabins originally booked on the Epic. The OP and her husband have switched over to the Spirit, so now there is one cabin on the Spirit for OP and husband, and one of the Epic still for their 2 daughters. OP wants to switch both names on the Epic cruise because both daughters will not be cruising on the Epic and then switch the Epic cruise to one on the Jade (or do the name change at the same time as switching to the Jade).
(What confuses me here is that with only one daughter expecting, why will daughter #2 not be able to go on the Spirit in a separate, possibly adjoining, cabin?)
In any case, NCL UK only allows one name change per booking and to change both names amounts to a cancel/rebook. Without knowing what protections there are for booking the cruise through NCL UK against illnesses or other medical conditions that would prevent someone from cruising to be able to get the deposit back, I have a feeling that the deposit will be lost in this case unless the younger daughter remains and is switched to the Spirit cruise. Maybe DD #2 has a friend that can come along, but it this point is it worth it to bring a friend for DD #2 or lose the deposit?
Yes you've got the gist. But if only life was as simple as you are lrgpizza have suggested.
That would of course be the easiest option but younger daughter won't come on Spirit with us because it sail two weeks before her A Levels start so she'll be revising for exams. She's too good a student to want to be revising instead of cruising the med lol.

I'm a bit confused. How does doing two first-name changes on the EPIC have anything to do with a fjords cruise on Jade next summer?
You first say you want to change the first name bookings...I get that, but that doesn't allow you to change the ship & itinerary.
The most I think you'll ever get out of NCL in this case is that they agree to let you & your spouse stand-in on the EPIC, for your daughter.
If nobody in the family is going on the EPIC, then that is, de facto, a cancellation.
.
they will let us change the booking from Epic to Spirit we've just done it with ours. So they would let her change from Epic to Jade. But then we would still need a name change.
I'm just trying to save loosing £200, but keep our business with NCL. In the U.K we don't have the luxury of cancelling and rebooking without fees.
thanks

Hiya Do you mean the aquarium which is in Palma? If so then most definitely get a taxi.
When you step off the ship and walk out of the terminal you will see the taxi rank right in front of you. There is a large board which gives you all of the rates to most tourist attractions around the island.
I'd get a taxi there and ask the driver once there if you can arrange a pick up at a set time later unless its obvious that its easy to get one back.
Palma is very walkable and a stroll back along the marina would be lovely if you had time and where willing to do so.
In July we paid E20 for the 4 of us to go from Palma port to Palma Nova 15 minutes away. So you'd be looking at less than that for staying in Palma itself.

Hi Everyone
We were due to sail on Epic in October 4 adults in 2 balcony cabins all passengers same surname.
We booked this in January last year. At Christmas my eldest daughter found out she is expecting a baby and is due in July. So this means she cannot travel on the Epic booking as 3 month olds are to young to sail.
My husband and I decided to change our booking to the Spirit in April.
Our daughter's booking is still currently live for Epic whilst we decide what to do with it. She doesn't want to commit now to come on the Spirit in April, as its a very port intensive cruise with a baby.
I asked my t.a if NCL would allow us to change both first names on her booking to that of myself and my husband. So it goes from both our daughters to both of us.
NCL told our t.a this wasn't allowed as only one first name change was allowed per booking and if we wanted to change both it would be cancel and rebook. Here in the U.K we loose our deposit if we cancel.
We know that Jade is sailing from the U.K to the Norwegian Fjords in the summer of next year. If NCL had allowed us to do two first name changes we would have changed the girls Epic booking to us on Jade. We were happy to pay an admin fee.
NCL have said no which I think is very short sighted. Yes we loose a £200 deposit paid in good faith 21 months before departure.
But by doing so NCL miss out on a whole new booking of probably £2000-£2500 whatever a balcony cabin for 2 would cost on a Fjords cruise. Ironically more expensive and more value to them than the original Epic booking.
Its not like she can't be bothered with the Epic cruise she's not allowed to cruise with a baby that young.
So I'm wondering if any of you great C.C folk have a contact I could try at NCL to plead our case? Or maybe someone at NCL may read this. You never know.
I'm trying to find a solution before next summer's brochure goes on sale in a couple of weeks.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice given. x

We've just booked the spirit and I have to have a g.f diet. I was just wondering how the o.p got on with her son?
The only time I've ever had gluten contamination on board once and that was NCL Escape. The waitress in the mdr looked at me like I was an alien when I mentioned my dietary requirements.

Thanks for sharing this.

Unfortunately Cruise Critic does not allow links to rival sites.
Thank you for your understanding.
That's why I didn't post a link in my original message because I knew I wasn't allowed to x

following and looking forward to reading more. I have a "forum friend" on a U.K cruise site that is live blogging from Q.V on there as we speak. Just happened to come across this, so it will be interesting to read different points of view of the same voyage.

Considering the spirit similar itinerary for April next year. Happened to find your excellent review. Thanks for sharing x

Cruise Critic's own gallery has pictures of the Adults Only signs posted at the main pool. Chatter on the FB page suggests that it is still enforced for the main pool also.

Those signs were definitely not there when we where on board.

Did you sail recently?
We were on the one night taster out of Southampton before she did her t.a. there were teenagers in the main pool then and no signage or info but it may have changed afterwards I guess. I did a full and detailed review but it's not on here because we were guests for being members of a U.K forum/ cruise booking site but happy to answer any questions if I can help.

There are no signs around escapes post to suggest this. Also nothing saying in the dailies.

Hi Nicole.
Wow what can I say? Such a brilliant review! I came across it by chance thanks to the above member pushing it up the boards between Christmas and New year.
I started reading because we are on harmony in October from Barcelona and I'm craving info and pics on Barcelona and the Italian ports. I was hooked so I've spent the last few days reading every single post when I've had a moment.
The absolute bonus which I wasn't expecting was the detailed review of Sants station and the Tgv to Paris. We are travelling to Barcelona and back from the U.K By train to have an adventure as my husband doesn't like flying and its something different than sailing from the U.K. I thought your photos were better than those on the man in seat61 website.
I laughed out loud at some of your comments and I'm glad I wasn't stuck in that Turkish carpet basement I'd have gone nuts lol.
Thanks for sharing your trip with us x

No explorer doesn't have one.
-
We have booked harmony for next year and have decided to have fake sea days other than the Italian ports which gives us two more days to explore the ship. But we are sailing practically the same itinerary on Epic the following week so will have the opportunity to do the ports we've elected to miss on harmony if we want to.
-
Following along with great interest as booked on harmony next year. Thank you for sharing your experiences and photos.

Came across this by accident and was quickly hooked. Fantastic thank you.
Has anyone else had a shipboard credit wiped out after leaving and charged to them?

When we were on Explorer in July we booked for Harmony this October. We received 30% discount off our Harmony balcony cost. We also received $100 obc on our Explorer cruise and $100 obc added to our Harmony cruise.
The explorer $100 showed on our on board account the same day and our invoice shows our $100 for Harmony.
So we had no issues. Good luck getting it sorted.
P.S I too kept the flyer just in case.
