My wife utilized the ship’s medical services due to flu like sypthoms. Filed a claim with GeoBlue and they paid without any issues. She did provide all the paperwork they required on their claim form. We’re using them again on a multi-trip policy.
-
We also purchase the multi trip plan. Wife had an issue earlier this year and visited the ship’s doctor. Received a small bill for a little under $300. She completed a claim, mailed it in and they paid without an issue. It’ll be interesting if you get a response from somebody who has had experience with them on a more significant amount.

Sdnich, we are booked with Carlos next month. I've been impressed with his efficient replies and his reviews on TripAdvisor. I'll try to remember to post on this thread after our return.
I'm interested in learning about your experience with Carlos too.

We stayed there recently while visiting our grandkids. Very nice hotel. Great staff. Could see the cruise ships from our window. Area felt safe and I did see a security person, however he didn't seem that engaged. Can't speak for shuttle to port, but hotel should be able to answer that. It would be a very short taxi or Uber ride.

We thoroughly enjoyed Trikes Aruba. Had a very good time.

We bought some incidentals at a stop the guide made and used US dollars. On a side note, we had a great time their. One of our favorite ports an TJ was great.
-
Our experience with TJ Travel was great. Used a credit card too and if memory serves correct the exchange rate worked in our favor. Used them in May 2016.
-
We've used HAL's laundry and had excellent service & results.

We did the 2 days with TJ Travels and thoroughly enjoyed their service. Had a great time.

Take a look at SuperJeep at http://www.superjeep.is
We used them for 3 tours and had a great time.

We were in 5071 for 42 days. No issues. A little obstruction on veranda if you're looking straight down. Lifeboats. But most of the time we were looking out toward horizon. Also, veranda was a tad narrow, but not that bad for us. FWIW.

We did the Zuiderdam TA 2016 and pre-booked a taxi for 6 of us to Bruges and had the same man pick up us at a predetermined location that afternoon. All went well and was 50 Euro each way. We used Taxi Georges @ taxigeorges@telenet.be

My wife and I sailed on the Zuiderdam in April and May 2016. I read all the previous review too and was concerned. However, I was more interested in the itenerary. We're not real picky only expect the systems to work and food be decent. Both met our expectations. The only complaint we had was when it came for our turn for maintenance work outside our balcony. That wasn't to my liken, but then again they have to maintain the ship so I understand what they were doing. Beat recommendation I could give is I wouldn't have a single doubt about sailing the Zuiderdam again.

Used mine the last cruise earlier this year without any issues. Will again on cruise in January too!

The wife and I was on the Zuiderdam earlier this year for 41 days. Laundry service was great! Didn't need to take nearly as many clothes. Will be on the the 1/29/17 cruise for 21 days and plan on taking less and using the laundry by the bag. With warmer weather clothes I believe the wife and I can stuff quite a bit in that bag for $20. On the Zuiderdam we received our clothes back the next day and a few times the same day. Excellent service.

You might look at Icelandair's Stopover program. We used the program this year and enjoyed 4 days in Iceland on our return from the same cruise.

We used SuperJeep Tours back at the end of May first of June and had a great time. Six people to the Jeep and went off the beaten path. Wonderful time.
-
Looking forward to tour the Castle. Did you take the lake cruise around the Castle, i think our tour included that excursion?
LS
Didn't do the boat.

We have a couple of days in Iceland on a cruise during next year. We are wondering if it is necessary to carry Icelandic Kroner or are US dollars or Euros accepted in restaurants, taxis and the like?
Thank you
Mike
We just got back June 2 from a 4 day stopover in Iceland. Used our credit card for everything including the hotdogs at Baejarins Beztu Pylsur. Never once used any currency. Had a great time in Iceland.

We were there in May and there were plenty of options available. We walked up a street to a nice cafe with sidewalk seating and had a wonderful meal. The desserts all looked fabulous. You won't have any problems.
Schwerin Castle was great. We actually spent time walking the town too. Have a great time!

Looking at Icelandair going to Copenhagen.
We know we have to switch planes in Rejkavic.
Must you clear customs and immigration to catch connecting flight ?
We came from Copenhagen to Toronto to Dallas. In Reykjavik we didn't have to clear customs or immigration. But, that's part of the Schengen Agreement. Going to you may need to dig further.

I found the pricing quite a bit better than others. Purchased about 8 months before cruise.

Just returned from a cruise with a stop in Tallin. We used and they accepted the Euro.

We used Icelandair from Copehagen to Iceland with a 4 day stopover before continuing to Toronto. We were very pleased with their service. Utilized their Saga class. Seats were comfortable & the service was excellent. Saga class seats are comparable to a domestic first class seat. Wouldn't hesitate one bit to use them again on a flight in their market area. Pricing was good too an we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days in Iceland.
And, we first learned about it here on cruise critic. Thanks for the tips!
Has anyone used Geoblue to cover visits to the ship doctor?

The multi-trip plan covers one year. I also purchased a Medjet policy. Probably overkill, but my research suggest it’s not and it gives me peace of mind.
