Was just there 3 days ago. Round trip shuttle was € 10. Dropped off above market square. Short walk to it.

We booked a cruise last week. Our date for 2017 on the list and tried to get the shipboard credit. Our TA called and was told it was only for 2016 so she called a supervisor -- still no go.

Curious if any one else tried to get the perks offered for 2017 cruises listed on HAL's site?

My TA tried to get the OBC on a January 2017 cruise we had booked, but was told it didn't apply for that particular cruise. Still believed I received a good deal because HAL raised the rate within a month. They sure do go up & down & this deal & that deal a lot it seems.

Want to go on this trip,can't find any recent reviews,my questions are: will independents be running to the fjord in early may 2016 ? names of firms and prices would be helpful to enable us to book etc.Thanks

We used a taxi with another couple when were there. Negotiated a price up front and all went well.

Google tourbylocals. Look for a Britt B. We've booked her for May 6. Haven't used her so can't say if she's good or bad, but reviews looked favorable. Hope this helps.

bdfred: One exchange (Euro for ISK) seems like less exchange costs than two (Euros to USD, and USD to ISK), right?

 

Just know that in Iceland 99.7% of places take plastic. We've been over there 3 times and stopped getting local currency after our second trip

After finishing our cruise in the Baltic we're planning a 4 day stop over in Iceland. My plans are to exchange my excess Euros at the airport for Iceland Krona. Is this a good strategy instead of buying Krona in states and carrying around?

We're flying back next June on Icelandair. Taking advantage of their Stopover plan and spending 4 days there. Thought why not since I'm there. Learned about it on CC. Thanks gang!

Was it a private tour? If yes, what was the name of the company & was you satisfied with their service? We're going there in 2016.

We're doing a stopover with Icelandair May 2016. TA has given me 3 hotel choices do Centre Hotel Arnarhvoll, Fosshotel Baron & Best Western Reykjavik. Can anybody give me come feedback on these? Thanks.

TroubleT: How long did it take you to complete the process?

My layover in Toronto is 2 hours & 10 minutes. Will that be sufficient?

Booked Iceland Air from Reykjavik to Toronto then to DFW. Iceland partners with Air Canada to complete trip to DFW. Will we have to clear customs in Toronto? Will bags go through to DFW without us touching after Reykjavik? And, do we have to clear customs in Dallas if we do it in Toronto? Hope I asked this correctly. New to international flights.

No more than they cost I wouldn't think they'd place a limit as long as you're reasonable.

I'll be sailing on the Zandaam this summer and I use a CPAP machine that requires distilled water. Does anyone know if distilled water is available on ship?

I have my TA contact the cruise line and request the amount I'll need specially for my cabin. Normally there. Other option is to buy what you need at embarking city and take on with you.
