My family and I will be sailing on HOTS in January. We will be in two close, but not adjacent staterooms. (There is one stateroom in between.) In reviewing our boarding passes, I discovered that our staterooms are assigned to two different muster stations. We would prefer to have a chance to be in the same lifeboat if the need arises. 🤞🙂

    If anyone has experienced this:

-Did you contact Royal to see if one of the stations can be changed?

    --Were you successful?

    ---With whom did you speak/email/communicate?

----If a change was made, were there any issues with the muster station on boarding passes, sea passes, etc.?

    Thanks in advance,

    M.

Interesting questions. I hope someone can provide answers.

Pass line, max odds when point established…bet on 5 through 9..I stay away from the one roll prop bets..know when to walk from a cold table…but if numbers are rolling, don’t be afraid to press up a unit…a bet for the dealers on the pass line can bring good karma…

"Hot & cold" tables are only in one's imagination. The outcome of a completed roll has no bearing on any future roll. Unless the dice are fixed, and btw, controlled rolling is a myth, every roll produces random results.

  3. Online searching about this card yields an almost incomprehensible amount of information, most of it years old. It appears that the rules of what it covers (one punch per drink or 2 punches on certain drinks; hot drinks vs cold drinks) varies from ship to ship, where it can be used varies from ship to ship (Starbucks or not at Starbucks) etc.

Specifically, from those of you who can share your experience:  what is the current story for utilizing this card aboard Mariner? Thanks.

Out of interest, one decided to view a random upload.  Clicked upon a baseball cap, T-shirt, sunglasses and fabric backpack (potential Heard beachware) person’s contribution.

Carambola evidenced (empty, possibly out of season as no Herds):  Pedlos, kayaks, massage tents, thin mattress for beds, drinks in plastic/paper cups (sorry, no), no evidence of beach service, no evidence of cocktails at the bar (miss the large ED25 aperitif) no evidence of taking lunch.  But on leaving there was evidence of Towels.

The video enforced one’s decision to pass.

One random upload is purely anecdotal to support your agenda. Nice try.

try sorobon beach if all you want to do is hang at a beach.

You posted this elsewhere: "I was there in 2014 and honestly, the view is what you see in the pictures BUT they put the cruise ship people in a tiny area on top of each other like sardines.  Very little shade also.  We did not like it.  No snorkeling there.  I would go elsewhere."

Tell me again why I should try it.

  6. Reserved 6:45, the earliest time available, for all nights on our B2B next July.

The problem I'm having, yet to be resolved by RCI, is that each cruise is 8 nights and the reservation system on the Daily Planner only recognizes 7 nights. Their email to me says the Planner has been "repaired" to allow for 8 nights. My return response to them was that the problem still exists.
Looks as if I'll have to call them.

I keep rescheduling cancelled cruises - 19 so far.  Maybe sail soon?

Son was on first or second sailing of Crown Princess when 2nd officer did sharp turn coming out of Cape Canaveral.  Emptied pool, water in elevators, formal night glassware on floor, even slot machines turned over.  It was his first cruise.  He still cruises and is up to around 30.  Luck?  Cruise line flew them home first class, free drinks, refunded entire cruise, erased all onboard charges, and gave them a large FCC.

Looks like auto-pilot was at fault:

Because RCI thinks folks will pay it.

    Yes, we will (July 2022)
    1) We've never been to the new & improved version of Cocoa Cay
    2) With a limited senior citizen cruising budget, there are other itineraries (like Europe) we would like to experience, so it's not a given we'll ever be back there to enjoy it.

  9. It was our introduction to cruising back in 1994 after several days at Walt Disney World. At the time, it sure felt exotic to be cruising to the Bahamas. I think it was for 3 nights, and the last one was spent trying to outrace Hurricane Gordon back to port with no ship stabilizers being used. Plenty of rockin' and rollin' onboard as passengers staggered drunk-like or crawled on hands & knees to get around.

We bias towards getting drink packages if only to prevent ourselves from constantly second-guessing and self-limiting because the amount we're drinking each day is going to exceed what it would have cost for the drinks package.

While I suspect it more than pays for itself regardless, just removing that worry about "how much am I spending on drinks?" thanks to having a fixed cost is worth it.

And on the other hand, should you "fall behind" a few drinks per day and not get your money's worth, it's not the best situation to then spend a few days drinking too much in order to get the books balanced. No one in our group wants to dedicate any day to "over drinking" just to meet that  fixed cost, but to each his own.

Agreed reviews can change, as our last visit to Saint Kitts was about four or five  years ago.

If Marriott is dismissed, then there is only one other place away from Saint Kitts’ T’erds, this being Sunshine’s.

Sunshine’s can be reviewed on a chosen adviser site to see if it meets one’s requirements prior to a visit.

I've reviewed almost 2 dozen YouTube videos of visits to St. Kitts beaches and none of them show any evidence of T'erds. In this day & age of everything wild and crazy ending up in a video, nothing like it exists. Suggest you refrain from your repeated unproven negative commentary whenever someone looks for advice about their beaches.

Yes, it is THE place to go, away from T’erds,

one of the best beach experiences in the Caribbean

    TTE’s Protocol

Remember to follow the TTE copy/paste for the Marriott, here’s his advice

I've have never made reservations once on our visits to the Marriott, when are you going?? Between now and Christmas you won't need anything but a smile and a credit card for your $35.00(Please don't pay the booking fee.) day pass at the St. Kitts Marriott.

It's this simple, when your taxi drops you off in front of the Marriott, you walk directly towards the concierge desk to your left with a big smile, credit card in hand, they're going to ask you what ship you are on, IF you happen to be cruising on a Carnival Cruise Ship, lie😄 and tell them your cruising on either a Princess, Royal Caribbean or even Holland America if you have too, hand them your credit card when she hands you your receipt walk over to the elevator get in it and hit THE BEACH button, walk out and go have a great day!

First thing's first, go back to the bar order a good bloody mary and get a tab started, yep break out that credit card again. 😁

    You'll figure out the rest.

If you have 4-5 people in your group I would not only consider a day room, I would do a day room same price altogether you get a nice room for the day to keep your stuff and go and get out of the sun for a few it's nice, only way to go 4 or more.

    Have fun!!

Disregarding all the TTE schtick that has been repeated in multiple threads for well over a year now, I just looked at very, very recent reviews (Trip*******) about the Marriott. It looks scary.

Travel durning the "hurricane season" of June to November (worse July to September) will evidence heavy seas and strong tidal movements.  Hence the seaweed.

Best to go December to January.

We are cruising in mid July '22...Dec/Jan not feasible. I guess I'm not really convinced you can predict what the weather will be like in St. Kitts on our day there anymore than anyone else, myself included.

With that, and not knowing what TTE even means, I gather it's your considered opinion that the Marriott is THE location to spend a day at?

Absolutely! We always get off the ship.

We went to Karels Beach Bar near the port.

Across the street from Karels were restaurants and a shopping area.

Our visit there next July will be our first time on the island. Any suggestions for a real beach?

go to choiceair.com and select the tab on the right for quick flight info.     I always select the refundable option at the bottom of the flight selection screen.

What's the secret to getting to this site? I've tried "choiceair.com" on 2 different search engines and it goes nowhere but to travel agents.
