NO! I do not want to check out or reserve ANYTHING ELSE on a cruise! Let the chair hogs have their chairs by the pool. I don't want them anyway. I'm perfectly fine lounging in a chair with shade. We reserve enough things on Royal ships. HARD NO to reserving lounge chairs.

There's nothing special about being adjacent to the pool. There are hundreds of loungers (sun & shade) with better views than seeing fat guys in speedos trying to impress women.

On our sailing in December it's pretty high too... as much as we wanted to experience the water park or the beach club, I refuse to pay these prices. It's crazy!

The perfect day on our cruise is on Friday. Can any of these purchases (made before sailing) be cancelled and refunded once on the ship?

Starlink as a world wide service  probably will not be ready until next spring.  The first group of satellites SpaceX launched requires site of an uplink on land.  The current groups they are launching relay the signal satellite to satellite then to land via lasers.  But, they are not through launching them yet.  At the rate they are going, they should be done launching by the end of the year and a couple of months for the satellites to get to the correct location.  By next spring they should have world wide coverage.  Probably why they say Q1 next year.

46 more satellites went into orbit Tuesday night  (8/30).

We will be paying the $1.99 extra per day, per person for the chat feature. How does that work? How do you receive the notification when someone sends you a message?

It's my understanding that there is no notification, thus making you check your phone a lot. Everyone on your chat list needs to sign up and pay for the service.

Huh? So, folks are going to cancel their 6+ night cruises because they're upset that 3 night cruisers don't have to test anymore? (especially when all other US-focused cruise lines are requiring everyone to still test?)  Ok... 🤪

Look... I get it, would I rather all testing be eliminated immediately... sure.. but, that wasn't likely going to happen so I take this as a TEMPORARY step and moving us in the right direction.

It's called "baby steps". Just suppose it doesn't work out well for those cruisers. Better doing this short "test" than having the entire fleet and the long term itineraries do into the dumper.

That is an interesting question! Hmmm not sure. I know some people do play with their spouse’s card, I don’t know what happens during a hand pay. 😫 Of  course I have never been lucky enough to have a hand pay so I have no personal experience sadly!

Casino hand pays (and tax responsibilities) on slots go to the person who hit the spin button. Any players card (or sea pass) being used in the machine is irrelevant.

  7. OP: "Even though I had the WiFi package that includes internet surfing on my phone and ipad - and an International package with Att - I still accrued $386 in overages while on the ship."

The even though I had the WiFi package part of your opening statement has absolutely nothing to do with the I still accrued part. They are completely separate things. With or without the package, you still  would have accrued the overages.
