Just a FYI I called Crown and Anchor hit 9 and within 2 minutes someone answered the phone took my order got my confirmation email so I'm all set
I tried that and "Diamond Plus" answered. I'm not at that level, so this suggestion didn't work for me.

I've ordered cappuccino in the MDR plenty of times.
So this card is accepted in the MDR? What is the price without the card?

We have the day pass but are reservations required for lunch? (Someone in FB said to make the advanced reservation @ Chops onboard).
Thanks and smooth sailing, everyone. -

NO! I do not want to check out or reserve ANYTHING ELSE on a cruise! Let the chair hogs have their chairs by the pool. I don't want them anyway. I'm perfectly fine lounging in a chair with shade. We reserve enough things on Royal ships. HARD NO to reserving lounge chairs.
There's nothing special about being adjacent to the pool. There are hundreds of loungers (sun & shade) with better views than seeing fat guys in speedos trying to impress women.

The perfect day on our cruise is on Friday. Can any of these purchases (made before sailing) be cancelled and refunded once on the ship?

On our cruise, the stop there is on Friday, and for some reason in the days before that, can we change our mind and cancel the booking for full refund?
-
Line jumping here... good luck to everyone trying to guess this one.

Thanks for all the responses. It appears that the best approach is to purchase after boarding IF the rules from the baristas meet your needs.

What are your experiences using it on Mariner? For example, ordering the basic Cafe Mocha (nothing extra added), how many punches?

Starlink as a world wide service probably will not be ready until next spring. The first group of satellites SpaceX launched requires site of an uplink on land. The current groups they are launching relay the signal satellite to satellite then to land via lasers. But, they are not through launching them yet. At the rate they are going, they should be done launching by the end of the year and a couple of months for the satellites to get to the correct location. By next spring they should have world wide coverage. Probably why they say Q1 next year.
46 more satellites went into orbit Tuesday night (8/30). -
Is it possible to do this, primarily for texting, using the ship's WiFi system without purchasing Voom? (Yes, I know about RCI chat for $1.99 pp/pday).

Thank you! I cringe every time I hear someone call these tests "free"! We (well, most of us) are paying for them. Unfortunately, those of us cruising to Canada (or Bermuda) still have to proctor. ☹️
You're "cringing" over these tests costing you several decimal points of a penny in taxes?

We will be paying the $1.99 extra per day, per person for the chat feature. How does that work? How do you receive the notification when someone sends you a message?
It's my understanding that there is no notification, thus making you check your phone a lot. Everyone on your chat list needs to sign up and pay for the service.

We need to actually see the Cafe Promenade coffee menu to determine exactly which of their coffees will match (or at least be similar) to drinks offered at the Starbucks location. Also, we need to have it confirmed by RCI directly and if this change has any effect on the coffee card they sell.

Huh? So, folks are going to cancel their 6+ night cruises because they're upset that 3 night cruisers don't have to test anymore? (especially when all other US-focused cruise lines are requiring everyone to still test?) Ok... 🤪
Look... I get it, would I rather all testing be eliminated immediately... sure.. but, that wasn't likely going to happen so I take this as a TEMPORARY step and moving us in the right direction.
It's called "baby steps". Just suppose it doesn't work out well for those cruisers. Better doing this short "test" than having the entire fleet and the long term itineraries do into the dumper.

Ours is up $639.00 from when we booked back in February. And it looks to be getting pretty full.
Our 2 cruises in 2023 are up $350 and $300 from booking last April.

After flying into Miami, does anyone have experience taking the train to Ft. Lauderdale for your cruise and the roundtrip back to Miami to fly home?
-
How fortunate to get a price change in your favor. I have 2 cruises scheduled in 2023 and the current price for each is higher than what I booked. I'll take what I have, but can hope for something better. Happy sailing.

No. As @John&LaLa said, it ended at the end of April. See the current promo below (it has changed in multiple ways):
Is this currently the program?

That is an interesting question! Hmmm not sure. I know some people do play with their spouse’s card, I don’t know what happens during a hand pay. 😫 Of course I have never been lucky enough to have a hand pay so I have no personal experience sadly!
Casino hand pays (and tax responsibilities) on slots go to the person who hit the spin button. Any players card (or sea pass) being used in the machine is irrelevant.

OP: "Even though I had the WiFi package that includes internet surfing on my phone and ipad - and an International package with Att - I still accrued $386 in overages while on the ship."
The even though I had the WiFi package part of your opening statement has absolutely nothing to do with the I still accrued part. They are completely separate things. With or without the package, you still would have accrued the overages.

Not being a tea drinker, I can only commiserate with the OP's wife. Personally, I'd be demanding a White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks.

Anyone notice any Black Friday deals on drink packages or excursions?

I got through to RCI on my phone and I was told it's a global issue which will be resolved in "a few hours".
