  1. Most of them complaining about the food probably never had their taste buds come back after their last bout of COVID.
  2. Here's what I have so far, is this accurate? Seems the quantum class have a different concept but I put them in there. Adventure Duck & Dog Allure Bow & Stern Anthem Brass & Bock* Brilliance King & Country Enchantment N/A Explorer Crown & Kettle Freedom Bull & Bear Grandeur N/A Harmony Boot & Bonnet Independence Dog & Badger Jewel N/A Liberty Hoof & Claw Mariner Wig & Gavel Navigator Two Poets Oasis Globe & Atlas Odyssey (Crown & Compass) Ovation Amber & Oak Quantum (Michael's Genuine Pub) Radiance Quill & Compass Rhapsody N/A Serenade Crown & Castle Symphony Copper & Kettle Spectrum N/A Vision N/A Voyager Pig & Whistle Wonder Cask & Clapper
  3. Yeah, I guess it must be an intangible vibe or something because I haven't heard what amenities or activities Celebrity is offering for your $$$ vs the same or more $$$ on Royal yet. Seems like less spectacular shows, less fun active stuff, less for children. Like just fewer amenities for a higher price. Like if rooms are double the size, all bars are open, all specialty dining is covered, complementary spa services, free room service. Like, being more "laid back" in an ephemeral sense is kind of understandable, but doesn't seem like it is worth losing other optional amenities and pay the same or more? Maybe I'll watch some YouTube videos on what amenities Celebrity ships have to offer and there may be something someone hasn't mentioned yet. I'm all for new experiences but I'm judging that on if I spend $2600 for a family of 4 for a week, what is available to us?
  4. I've never researched Celebrity, so I'm just going off of the replies here. What does Celebrity have that Royal doesn't? Reading the replies there are no slides, no kid focused things, and less to do after dark. What is all of this being replaced with on Celebrity ships?
  5. I either see cult-like responses where people will praise absolutely everything that happens with a line no matter what, or pinnacle plus who want their money back because they suffered the indignity of having to pass through the commoner section of the ship to enter their star suite and nothing in-between.
  6. Have they tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?
  7. I know my post wasn't the shortest but I didn't think like the third sentence was too difficult to get to lol
  8. I really like the concept of the themed rooms on carnival (family, spa, Havana) that span cabin classes (interior, ocean view, balcony) that have certain themed amenities or privileges. Imagine a sea adventure room that have you fast passes to the flow rider, discounts on scuba stuff, or something like that. I really like the concept of small benefits for a themed room besides the cow cabin. Lol
  9. Is this the same as excursions? I booked excursions for a 2 and 3 year old which were free, but they'll be 3 and 4 at time of the cruise.
  10. Last time I saw the split of that $15 didn't go to anyone other than your steward and the MDR waitstaff. That doesn't go to random janitors, windjammer staff, Sorrento's staff. Your room steward you're always going to use and tip. But MDR waiters? (I understand they likely have shifts in different venues but the tip was structures specifically for MDR waiters)
  11. Only been on 5 cruises, but since the start when I saw that a % of the daily automatic gratuity was going to the three waiters in the Main Dining Room, we went every night. Might as well get what we are paying for was my thought process. It is a fun, communal experience and a good way to make friends with random tablemates. If I'm ever blessed enough to be able to be on an Oasis or Quantum class ship with more than 3 specialty dining options the temptation to buy specialty dining packages goes way up for me. For people who do that and then do not patronize the MDR for the cruise, do you touch automatic gratuities at all? Why or why not? Obviously folks rely on grats and honestly you should never mess with them. But how do you square paying grats to people twice for the same meals when only one group is providing you service?
