  1. Never get calls in the UK from NCL.

Unfortunately call sales centres are KPI driven and they will be measured daily on call rates, talk time etc. If they don't reach the goal they are likely to be fired.

Until the system has been marked that he/she has spoken to you the calls will continue. Just be asked to be taken off the call list.

  2. I am on the 2 day from Hamburg leaving 25/10

I can book a couple of specialty restaurants:

    Cagneys - a la carte

    Teppanayki - £23.37

    Moderno - £15.56

La Cucina - A la carte

    and the MDRs

prices are in GBP and include the 18% gratuity

water package - think this is normal that the drinks package is not available on a 2 night cruise????

  3. I guess I shouldn't have said sharing...I more meant that if all of us didn't want to get up, could one person use two cards to get drinks...thanks for the heads up that they can be strict though!

As long as I had enough cards for the number of drinks I have never found a problem. Ordered 4 before with 4 cards, OH and for my parents.

  4. A bit rude calling me creepy.... I am English not American so likely something lost in translation!

I like the fact there is an H20 area that is adults only and would just like to see that enforced in that area only. Children are welcome anywhere else on the ship.

Shall we just go back to all looking forward to the Escape....

  5. Are you talking about Spice H2O on Epic? That's the only adult pool on that ship, and Spice doesn't have a pool on Escape. The adult pool on Escape will definitely allow pushchairs and small ones around it, just not IN it, if it works the same as sister ships Getaway and Breakaway.

    Yes, Spice H2O.

  6. I hate to burst your bubble, but they don't enforce the adults only rules there either !!

We were there 2-3 times during the cruise and kids were there as well as parents with strollers with infants. The adult pool and hot tubs had teen kids in them also. SO, Norwegian, Where the hell is the enforcement of the rules ???????

I didn't see any on the Epic, if I see them on the Escape I will personally be on a mission! Kids have enough of their own areas, I definitely don't want to see pushchairs and small ones.

  7.

We've been on 14 cruises with NCL, twice on the Epic. I never noticed anyone dressed as described above in either the main dining room or Le Bistro. Not saying it didn't, doesn't, happen but don't think it is very common.

It wasn't many in the main dining room, just a few and I was surprised they were allowed in with no question. I like the informality of NCL and the freestyle which is why it is our favorite cruise line. I do think they should enforce the dress code.

  8. NCL does have minimum standards for dress code - - from their FAQ link posted above

"We want you to be comfortable, but tank tops for men, flip flops, baseball caps, visors and jeans that are overly faded, with holes or tears and worn below the hips are not permitted in main dining rooms or specialty restaurants"

Unfortunately it is not enforced. The dress code is from one extreme to another. Our last cruise on the Epic people came in for dinner in baggy denim shorts, baseball caps, flip flops, I think they are called basketball shirts with no sleeves. Fine for the pool or buffet however for dinner please make some kind of effort!

  9. Enjoy your cruise, as others have said it happens.

NCL are running a business. Happens in travel, hotels, cruises, car sales, clothing etc every day.

I go to the super market and buy something two days later it's on special I am not going to get to a refund/freebie etc....

  10. If you are booking within final and full payment due with prices already dropped you are close to the bottom anyway.

can always wait to see if any final drops in Germany once their final kick in at 30days.

Lock in with a US booking an make the call on where to book before final on that booking with full refund.

I will look into that next time booking via the US. We booked in February 2015 for a January 2016 cruise!
