  1. Not an UPGRADE, as some people may argue, but we were visited by the last minute upgrade-offer fairy. We were offered a balcony upgrade from an interior for $392 total difference. Nothing to complain about as far as I can tell. Deck 6, mid-ship... we shall see. Now, that being said, our original room was a pretty sweet deck 6 4J category room.

I'm pleased to have been visited, even at a small cost.

    Anyone else get "the visit"?

Watch our blog for updates, photos, and videos.. etc...

We will also try to post here.

    CHEERS!

  2. CapitalKyle

Yes. I had read it was going to be a thing, but hadn't seen it listed anywhere...

    But...

On top of the tall tables, there are two taps (handles not yet installed here...)

But... very exciting.. especially if it's the Frisky Frog java stout... that's the one I want... maybe now.

  3. Sadly (well, not really anything SAD) we are on June 3rd sailing, and there is only one sea day, so our days will be packed. IMAX is going to be unlikely and I am SOOOO having trouble deciding which place to have our only sea day lunch.

That being said, $13 seems reasonable for a feature film... not GREAT but reasonable. :) I guess we will have to book again stateside... oh well, the sacrifices we make.. ;)

  4. Thanks for the input. I am totally looking forward to trying the food and wine there. We knew we wanted to go to Europe a few days early, and then we decided to go outside of Barcelona someplace while there... somehow we landed on Lisbon, which I think will be good times.

    Cheers!

  5. We are on the 03JUN from Barcelona, and will try to post as many menus as we can... We have only one sea day so it will be quite busy, but will do our best to get them all on our blog, as well as on here... and lots of food photos, I am sure... (especially because we will just be coming off of a pre-vacation diet)

  6. We have the trip booked and it's getting so close! 03JUN Sailing out of Barcelona. We decided to go in a few days early and bounce over to Lisbon for a few days and take in some of the sights. Then, we will head back to Barcelona where we will explore a bit before the journey.

We will post on our blog, as well as here as the journey progresses.

Anything that we should do in Lisbon or Barcelona, outside of the obvious touristy things?

  7. What a fun idea to pass the time before your trip (ITS COMING SO SOON!)..

Ours is 03JUN, and we are very much looking forward to it. I liked your previews of the ports and will keep an eye on those, as our cruise is going to share several of those ports.

Have a great trip, and good work on the blog. I know that ours has been known to keep us busy and in a few short weeks will have lots of Vista-related stuff as well!

  8. We went to the Steakhouse on the Breeze a few years back and it was in the top 2 steaks I have ever eaten. It was excellent.

We received our confirmation for our 03JUN Vista cruise on Day 1, and are also looking forward to the included wine. :)

    Enjoy!

  9. Another really nice option is to preorder and have bottles delivered to your room, and make your own drinks. We did this on our 3-day pacific coastal last year, and it was quite a good deal. The bottles were not too far away from street price, so it worked out well.

    Just a thought...

    :)
