  1. I don't think anyone is saying their needs are unmet. More their expectations are not being met, because we know what Carnival is capable of and the product they are selling today is not their best.
  2. Since when is a cruise vacation about one's needs?
  3. iMessage worked without a paid internet plan for me on Sunshine in May 2022, but not in September. I wouldn't bet on iMessage working without a paid plan that you're logged in to.
  4. The biggest problem with Sunshine is the poor design of the lounges and Lido buffet. The rest of the ship I think is great.
  5. I don't see how they'd be able to keep me off a ship if I lived in Florida. I'd be on some kind of ship every other week at least.
  6. you can purchase 24 hours of the value and premium plans. but the social plan is only available for the entire duration of the cruise.
  7. yes...anything onboard...drinks, slots, photos, bingo, doesn't matter...
  8. Yes, where the cabins are serviced twice daily and the buffet bacon flows like milk and honey.
  9. You have to be seated at a slot machine or table game ("actively playing") and have the server come to you to take your order.
  10. I've had some good ones and some absolutely horrible ones. If it were more consistent it would be much better.
  11. I am saying - the tips, your room fare, taxes, port fees, and trip insurance are all paid in the same bundle at final payment. The payments you make along the way after your initial deposit are optional and for your organization/budgeting, they make no difference to Carnival. You can "pay off" your tips one month, but it still just goes toward your amount due.
  12. What difference does it make? It all goes into the same pot in the end.
  13. You can add prepaid gratuities to your booking and then make a payment equal to that amount if you really want to. Or, as you said, give Carnival/your PVP or TA a call.
  14. Typically my guarantee rooms are assigned about a month out, give or take. So for you that means any day now basically. But yes it could be any time between now and when you check-in at the pier.
  15. Switched out the nice filet for a grisly thin striploin.
  16. Carnival is not a charity - they have to earn every dollar they get out of me, the fact that they're billions in debt isn't my problem. If anything they should be working harder to convince people to cruise with them and spend more money, not constantly take things away.
  17. I'm just waiting for the bacon crisis to be over. I had no idea Carnival was also waging a war against the chia seed crisis too!
  18. They offer muscle milk protein drinks, these are the single-serve cartons though. And like you said they're not included in Cheers. It's a no brainer for only $20 more, I could easily drink $20 in specialty coffees and milkshakes.
  19. Old habits die hard...faxing is still popular in a lot of industries.
  20. air temperatures will be warm and pleasant. water temperatures may be chilly.
  21. It's not vague at all. It lists specifically what it supports. Anything not listed doesn't work. That's why the plan is cheaper than the others.
  22. Carnival gets to shift even more of their payroll onto the guests back.
  23. They don't have protein powders. I'm not sure I'd recommend Cheers to someone who doesn't drink alcohol but it's your money. Cheers really is an alcohol program, it's really hard to "make the most of it" without that. It's like trying to make the most of Arby's if you don't eat meat.
  24. I had a good experience on the Ecstasy years ago, pre-COVID. But on my last Sunshine cruise I couldn't even get Twitter to load reliably - even the Hub app was having issues. Which now the Sunshine is the oldest ship so maybe that's part of it? I have heard that on the newer ships, especially the Excel class - the experience is much better.
