We just came off the Fascination. Dana at the pool bar makes a great drink! I don't remember the name of the band, but the band at the Starz Bar was really good. Hope you have as much fun as I did!

Great wolf lodge uses the wristbands. Its a resort-water park thing in the US. It was great the kids couldn't lose their room key slash sign card, but it drove me crazy at bedtime. I ended up cutting it off and having to go get a new one every morning.

I was really excited about the watermelon martini. But it was too sweet for me. Turns out I really like mojitos! Enjoy your cruise!

Can you buy cheers on the second day if you're leaving from Jacksonville or Charleston? Or is that just for Galveston? I think more than three drinks the first day will just put me to sleep after the excitement of waiting for vacation to start.

Vacation toiletries seem to be the thing we always screw up. We always forget them when leaving vacation. Fixed that. New vacation only toiletry bag full of trial size products, now if I forget it, it doesn't matter.

I thought you could only buy it second day out of Galveston? Or ports that didn't allow first day purchase? Am I incorrect?

I know a saw a thread, but I can't find it. Anyone know if there might be any NHL Hockey games on my October Fascination cruise? No special sports bar, so I'm guessing the answer is no. But I'm hoping.

The price increased since our original booking, but since we needed to add an additional cabin the reduced deposit worked out well for us.

$10 increase on next year. Dang. We need to add a cabin. Oh wells.

This is just an "after thought," if they cannot have the LIVE music on this ships, some of us who are musically inclined, may have to provide some LIVE music. :) This is just a thought ONLY at this time.:)

I would love this. My girlfriend and her drummer boyfriends were always a hit. As were the singing and musically talented uncles, my SO and his singing instrument playing friends. Sort of the ONLY reason I check out karaoke. Those hidden gems are hiding in there!

I'm Sssoooo worried. We booked a sunshine cruise as the family cruise. And then I read all these posts of it being so crowded. I really want the kids and grandkids to have a fabulous time. That's why we booked this ship. We won't care, but I hope we can figure it our for them to have a great time

All I really care about are those thermo lounger things. I've been in 2 severe car accidents. A few hours laying on one of those sounds heavenly. But I can't seem to find really good info on a spa pass or spa offerings. Fascination next month, sunshine next year. We will see!

I worked in the travel industry 30 years. I'm reading to see how this unfolds. So far I'm pretty impressed at Carnivals response. Relocating 3000 passengers in a timely manner is no simple feat.

I'm bringing 12 ounce cans of V8 vegetable juice. Makes a passable bloody Mary.

I'm pretty sure I won't sleep the night before our first cruise, I'll be too excited. I'll double check my luggage three times, my boarding documents, and carry on bag. I'll board, grab a cocktail, patiently wait for my luggage and unpack. Have to be sober for muster! Safety first! Then another cocktail and I'm afraid I'll be out asleep for a few hours, missing all the first night food and fun. How does your first cruise day go? I'm trying to figure out how to maximize it, and pretty sure it won't happen. LOL, hurry up fun times!

My Carnival PvP said their best "real" military discounts and offers are usually around Memorial Day (end of May) and Veterans Day (early November). I'll be watching to see if its true.

Thank you everyone. We've finally booked, and everyone is very excited! I feel better now. I probably got worked up over nothing, but better safe than sorry. And frankly ya all are probably right they already know what they need to know. I've decided a "general family" talk about how to conduct themselves in port is the easiest way to ensure my own peace of mind. I may need to be more concerned about bonehead son!

ITunes is my friend. I buy the season subscription so I can watch when I have a chance. Watching 3 or 4 shows all at once is the best.

Again I will reiterate. I don't expect them to not know I provided the chocolate. I just thought it would be a nice thing. A bit of luxury if you will, that would add to the experience....sigh

Welcome to cruise critic. I think its a sweet idea for your family. I plan on sneaking into the grandkids cabins and leaving nightly gifts from the on board shops or ports. As long as they enjoy it, I enjoy it.

Sorry missed typed. ITT information tickets and travel. Military only travel centers and ticket master type place. I've seen them on every base I've been to in the exchange
