1. Hmmm FTTF for Jacksonville? Some say yes, some say no. I want to get my vacation started, but I don't want to needlessly waste money. Were not cheap, but we are thrifty. I won't know until closer to the date what are timing may be. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with it?

  2. Hi Ladies! Trying to read back and catch up. I see there's a new name or two? Hooray! The ladies here are ever so helpful. I keep looking and some of my favorite clothes were earth and some were air (I think). But today I HAD to buy a bathing suit at Walmart (bleccch), if I just wanted to make sure I had one, ugly or not. So here's a question. I'm not sized "normal". I'm 5 foot tall, have skinny legs, small hips, a granny belly, and have always had boobs that were "uncomfortable". I go on a diet when the 38d bras get too tight. For whatever reason, that's where the weight goes first. But they've pretty much been that way since I was 14. I've always been very self conscious. This is probably why I hate buying clothes. Nothing fits and and the twins hang out. I almost have to buy seperates. I despise trying on clothes, but I don't have much choice. Does any one have this big bososm problem? Cause I could really use some tips besides big shirts. I'm feeling like an old trucker hag lately, and that's gotta change.

  3. No public display of affection. What about the way they dress? Wifey could easily pass as a 13 year old boy. She's a tiny lady.maybe five foot tall and 100 pounds. She dresses pretty much the same as my 10 year old grandson. Anything else I should tell them? Anything I should do to keep them safe? Maybe I'm over reacting. Were going to the Bahamas, I read stuff about Jamaica and scared myself.

  4. Sorry guess there's no question. Read a lot of threads yesterday and now afraid DD and wifey won't be safe. Have to make sure they stay with DH or DS

What kind of horrible mother has to tell her kid don't hold hands, it could get you killed or arrested. I've just managed to upset myself. Sorry for posting at all. Shhh you're right James, the wine got me.

  5. First off, go away flamers and trolls. Were trying to plan a family cruise next year. I'm seriously worried about DD and her wife on excursions off the ship. ATM the plan is for them to stay with us, DS's or really mean as a snake other DD. Having a convo that it may be a bad idea to hold hands just seems deplorable, and I dont want do it. BUT I remember what things were like when I was younger. They may not be accepted in other countries. But I don't want them harassed if we can help it. Damg it all! We tried to plan a FAM vacation with everything for ever ybody and this just occurred to me yesterday. Damg it dang it dang it

  6. DH has to eat every 2-3 hours or he goes all blood sugar weird. Prepackaged snacks I buy and pack are fine? Were looking forward to any local goods we can buy, but I can't risk the chance he "bottoms out" on me. I was thinking trail mix or protein bars. Not his favorite, but just in case. The more local foods, the happier our inner foodies will be, but he HAS to eat regularly. People are SO different. I can go 3 days without eating and don't care, but my sugar bear has to eat. On the ship, I'll go get it. Hang on. Room service or I will get there quick. I'm worried about the ports.

  7. I was there on Friday - $15 day pass - well worth it - very quiet, clean - excellent pools - coffee shop in lobby - only problem is they only take cash - there is a gate that you enter and pay - gate is in between the casino building and the hotel lobby building. Towels are extra.

For fun we took a one hour tour on the back of a banana boat - the tour took us to the dolphin marina - through the canals to see the houses and then past Oprah's house - we looked at is as an hour banana boat ride for $30!

A banana boat ride sounds fun. Do I need cash for that too?

  8. we give advice and answers to poster's questions in a loving and gentle and kind manner.

If you want to liven it up, then talk about Rum Runners, politics or religion.

You can liven it up by posting the following....................

"well, my religious convictions prevents me from ...................."

I think you know the rest.

Were trying to plan a family cruise for next year. I read a lot of threads here last night concerning what type of experience DD and her wife might have while on a cruise. And specifically in a foreign country. So I thank all of you that post!

  9. This is the 2nd time in this thread that I've read the term "Cheese curds". I've never heard of this before in colloquial terms. What are "cheese curds"?

Cheese curds are a favorite snack in the northeastern US. They're little lumps of fresh mozzarella. They "squeak" when you bite into them. Other parts of the country also sell cheddar as cheese curds. Some places lightly bread and deep fry cheese curds. They're delicious.

  10. The only trash the dress pics I've seen were from jilted brides. Its clothing. Do whatever you want with it. You wouldn't believe the abuse my Levis have seen. And I still can't kill them

    Drowning bride? That's scary

Safety first! But have fun. Seriously? The dress gets dry cleaned and packed away until our daughters come up with am excuse not to wear it.

  11. For sure, won't find these on any ship. We had quite a seafood & BBQ feast on land plus plenty of pasta with garlic bread.

But, $6 a lb. for NE lobster is very good as they are in short supply this season, still over $10 per lb here in NY for fresh ones in the 1.5 to 2 lb range, uncooked.
