As he is elderly, ask at Guest Service for the Special Needs area for the Muster. It used to be in the library unless they had too many and it would be moved to the upper level of the Main Dining room. You can go with him...

You will love the Splendor.... the water park has all the bells and whistles..... The kids will be ecstatic.... as you will be in the Spa. Sailed 21 days in Dec. on the Splendor and had a spa balcony. .. wonderful. The Thallasotherapy pool is the same as the Dream, Breeze and Magic.... much better than the Vista class.
Lee Mason, the cruise director is the best in the business, and I have sailed with Matt and all the others. Lee is uniquely talented.
Have a great cruise...

On the Horizon and Vista the T pool is a really just a square whirlpool. Smaller and very different than on the dream class ships, But the rest of the Spa is great. Try the infrared sauna for aches and pains..... for those of us WAY over 18. I press my injured shoulder to the infrared wall and it is a great relief. 😃😃

the best will be in Grenada and St.Lucia…..😎

The closest thing is called Carnival Tower - on each of the Journeys cruises I have taken.... amazing skills....remove blocks without collapsing the tower...:D

Google White Sands Excursions, Capt. Donovan. They are on the beach just to the left under the tent.
The best snorkeling in the world ! Do all the stops...

The confusion comes from port debarkation and reboarding - that is usually on deck 3 (in the "crew" area)
Initial embarkation is on deck 7 by guest services....:cool::cool:
-
park at the port ! You can prepay online to save a bit - go to the jaxport website and print your receipt.... do not THINK about parking offsite.... been there nine times....

Captain's Hindquarters would be much funnier...:D:D:D

First night of cruise, a lady calls guest services:
"Would you have the Captain stop the ship for a couple of minutes? My husband needs to use the bathroom."
after confusion on the part of the guest services employee, the lady continues:
"Our first time cruising and he has discovered he can't "go" on a moving ship...."
Carnival Splendor, Jan. 14, 2018,,, a 13 day Journeys cruise ...

I was just on the site of the National Hurricane Center to follow both weather "events" possibly affecting the SE

I am WAY DOWN there on the Fascination. Just left Grenada which was a substitute port to get us South of Marie . Weather okay here {Beaufort 3 for the nautical types } On the way to Barbados which has no damage. The Captain made an announce that the rest of our itinerary is under review pending the damage assessment .
St Lucia on Thursday is uncertain, as are Antigua & St Kitts.
We are carrying supplies intended for St Kitts.
This ship homeports in San Juan & we hope that is still a port in 24 hours .....
-
I know the weather issues can be frustrating but there are great values this time of year - I am blessed to be on the Fascination now for the 2nd leg of a b2b2b. Our itinerary has us steaming South on a sea day tomorrow - to get away from the next hurricane . Then Grenada, Barbados,St Lucia, Antigua & St kitts.
Our itinerary for the 24th may have Dominica instead of Grenada, depending on what the successor hurricane does.
See ya onboard !

I am on the Fascination now & will be on here when you board on the 24th [doing b2b2b]. Lovin' the new itinerary ! Dominica iis beautiful. We have Antigua tomorrow & I really like that place. St kitts the next day and they have a very nice port. See ya onboard !

"that gray area" might be the air handler for the hvac. i have been in 2306 under an open area between lifeboats & the noise from the air intake on deck 3 is constant & could be a problem. the noise is noticeable until you get to the cabin under shorex or the corresponding cabin on the starboard side. ..

Trivia can be a blast - just play for social fun and do not worry about what anyone else is doin. I have one of the plastic ship trophies so I do not need another. Giving it to a child or someone who really wants the trophy is a different kind of reward...
Bingo is definitely expensive.....fun to watch but costly....

One of the best perks is the Diamond Desk - they get things fixed if anything goes wrong. I was on the Pride Journeys cruises with Jamman - he hosted a Diamond lunch in a chef's hat.
I understand that since the Costa Concordia disaster we no longer have Diamond events on the bridge. Now there is very controlled access thereto. The captain of the Concordia was distracted as he was entertaining young women when the ship hit the rocks...:loudcry:
