  1. go to the tent between the pier and Jacks.. you will see a sign for white sands snorkel charters. Take the 3 stop tour with Capt. Donovan (Who owns the place) and your life will be changed forever. You will likely touch a very tame shark...snorkel over the Grand Turk wall... see the most fish ever ....taste fresh conch...and......... kiss the barb of a sting ray.... then come back and go to Jacks for a couple of Turks Heads.... tell Topher hi. Once again, your life will be changed forever....:)

  2. will be easy and fun. Very few places in the world have liquor stores to go through as you board - San Juan does.... :) You can drop luggage any time after 9 a.m. - if you are platinum or diamond there is a separate area for your bags about 50 feet closer to the terminal than the curb. My experience boarding has been so easy.... usually start around noon, a couple of times around 11:30.

  3. and the deli etc. I have always enjoyed the MDR, especially the chocolate melting cake but I find that I eat in a more healthy way at the buffet. Making the salad just as I wish and . having lotsa good choices of other great items !

Usually I meet up with a pod of other similar minded folks and we have the same social time as in the dining room.:)

  4. Used by the stewards. You will enjoy the cabin - and there is an ice machine in the pantry - so it is easy for the stewards to hand you a bucket of ice. Go up to the lido deck and ask the barkeep at the red frog for one of the white plastic buckets and they will hand it over for you to use an alternative to the small metal ice buckets used in the rooms.

  5. Many are very good efforts. My most recent experience was 28 days on the Elation and one of the Guest Services supervisors, Jessica, is from the U.S. and will likely be a hotel director before too long.

She is great and well experienced. She served on the NCL ship in Hawaii for several years before coming to Carnival. So success stories do happen for U.S. citizens working on board

  6. I was onboard for the initial 5 day from JaxPort and the preceding 21 day journeys cruise. Loved the ship. My other carnival experiences (18 cruises) were all on larger ships.

The elation is very well maintained and I thought the crew and staff, particularly the guest services people, were great. Food was wonderful.

My cabin was E43 and all was good. it does have the box for the life vests in the corner which is a hassle for the housekeeping staff.

We stopped in Grand Turk for a medical evacuation. Hope the person recovers soon !
